This Is Funny (And Sad): Photoshop Job on Beyonce

Here’s the story:
* The one on the left is the Russian Joy Magazine, an issue from 2007.
* The one on the right is Russian Glamour Magazine, an issue from 2009, only the cover picture is a reprint. Yes, it’s been reprinted, after spending a looooong time in the Photoshop salon.
So is this funny or sad?

It’s funny :’D
I’m confused. They photoshopped her darker, right?
If so, I don’t get it.
OMG… You took the words out my Mouth… I dont get it either…
Why did they use the same pic?? Beyonce is not that damn dark or that light seriously…
Im just lost this just seems stupid it to me
Well its funny and sad both…and one thing is for sure that Beyonce didn’t deserve that….
The one on the R looks more accurate actually. Beyonce is not that light in real life as on the L pic (remember the infamous Loreal skin brighting debacle?) It looks like she is a little darker on the R, but that shows how EVERYTHING is phtoshopped wayyyy beyond “touch ups” She kind of looks like Ashanti on the pic on the R lol (face and complexion)
I’m thinking the one on the left is probably the most shopped, she’s always getting photoshoped lighter. Sad, really.
sad they couldn’t find a new picture…and why is she a different shade in each one?! lol crazy
If you’d asked me which is photoshopped I’d of guessed the one on the left as magazines always seem to be photoshopping dark skin into light skin.
Also isn’t that kind of misleading, putting a photo on the front from a different, older magazine?
If they had an interview with her then why couldn’t they get a picture?
It’s messed up that they messed with her skintone.
I remember Loreal(?) I think it was them — was accused, but denied it, of doing the same thing.
Beyonce had been DARKENED!
The one on the left looks like they did stuff to her chin and nose, also the one on the right is not her natural skin colour but the one on the left isn’t either, also she has her left arm missing on the right photo.
Neither. I think the “new” one is actually better. Like they took away the light skin and the huge glamorous hair from the old pic and made it more realistic.
they also took her right arm….
It’s weird, but i don’t know if i would be offended. Like if someone wanted to darken my skintone by 10 degrees, what ever, have it your way.. They changed her hair too, but at least she’s still recognizable unlike some celebs who get breast augmentations, nose / chin jobs, tummy reductions etc… Just re-using a photo is odd, paparazzi pics are different of course ’cause they link to events that many mags tell about, but photoshoots pics normally try and make ppl feel closer to the person interviewed, or something.
However, her skin was actually LIGHTENED in the original photo
I bet you think her LaceFront wigs are her natural hair too
oh so it is lightened, it’s just i thought maybe the reprint was less true than the original. Beyonce always seems so “light” but maybe mags are just obsessed to make her that way. And i don’t have any illusions about her hair : D
I’m guessing that the 1st one is photoshopped. Not the 2nd one.
They’re obviously both overphotoshopped because they’re both magazine covers…
Im sure its not because they wanted her lighter, they wanted her brighter. and ya, she looks prettier when shes photoshopped. who doesnt? we all KNOW its photoshopped. obviously people want to make magazine covers lookk good.
Same sh*t, different day.
Sad.
gross on both…did they enlarge her nose? doesn’t look like her AT ALL
mmmm…. I think real Beyonce is between both pictures
Both pictures are correct. Both pictures are also just as incorrect. The color that her skin appears depends on lighting, exposure, brightness, contrast, white balance, fill lighting, and various factors when taking pictures. Professional photographers take their photos with professional lighting and in a raw format which can be color corrected to appear the best under the lighting available using software packages like Photoshop. All professional photographers do this and it is really part of taking the picture.
Nonprofessional photographers also alter their pictures just the same way. The camera does this for you and guesses on the best picture by using equations built into the software of the camera. The most correct picture would be a picture without a flash, or in a dark room. However a picture like that would never look very good.
The second picture is actually closer to her natural coloring but they photoshopped it to make her look thinner.
I don’t why they like to make darker-skinned girls lighter, as if having dark skin is ugly or something. It’s just sick.
I don’t just blame the media, beyonce herself is fond of fake hair. I bet she’d look really hot with natural black-girl curls (instead of dark blonde waves) and less make up, but seeing Beyonce with her natural hair color and texture is like seeing the moon eclipse…it happens too rarely.
