What Do You Think of Kelly Clarkson’s Stage Outfit?

Kelly Clarkson loves wearing comfy stage outfits, but I can’t help preferring her in dresses, like the one she wore HERE.
Maybe she was cold and took that cape-like thing on, but I’d love to see her in something will more structure, it would look lovely and flattering on her.

This outfit is not flattering at all. She’s gained alot of weight, that’s no secret, but then she should wear something that compliments her figure. I’m am a big fan of her music though, she’s got a great voice!

It seems to me that she keeps gaining. That’s a problem, and not so much an aestethical one, as a health issue. Mental or physical, regardless.

I dont care. Shes a musician and only her music matters. Who cares what she wears. She is just being herself and thats it.
She should care! When you have your neighbors over, you dress up nicely… People are paying for her concerts to see something different, otherwise they listen to her CDs…

Well, we all know it’s about her weight gain, but there are other ways to look nice.
Nothing to say for her music, she’s top singer.

that’s not a cell phone. it’s an audio device connected to her ear piece- you can tell she is holding it in her hand in another picture.
anyway, i agree with your comment about the neighbors…although i have been to many concerts in my life and have NEVER seen the performer dress well (unless it was the orchestra). That’s sort of the culture of rock/pop shows, the performers are supposed to look casual.
it looks like she is trying to hide her body, which makes sense considering the amount of sh*t she has been getting.
She shouldnt have to do that. Or more accurately, she should not be made to *feel* like she has to do that

I know Kelly isn’t known for very flattering outfits,and this outfit is not great, BUT, this was only a rehearsal. She didn’t perform in this. She was just rehearsing for a show later on, and it was chilly that day. So, why not be comfortable for rehearsals?
I think your post is mis-leading everyone to thinking she went on stage like that to perform for an audience, when that’s not the case.

It doesn’t change anything about the outfit. And she IS on a stage…people are watching, rehearsal or not. She looks pregnant in this pic and she looks extremely uncomfortable with her weight….trying to shroud it in a cloak? this is just sad.
disagree with you. this is not an outfit to be ashamed actually, it must be just okay to have comfortable clothes during rehearsal (especially when considering the chilly weather as brian said).
besides, it’s not her fault to be watched by public cameras and I am pretty sure she was prepared diligently for the main performance afterwards..
I agree that she should do something to get back to her normal weight to feel more comfortable in her body. but till then, we shouldn’t expect more flattering clothes on her – unfortunately this in not a weight to pull off any kind of outfits gracefully.
Gross. just gross. I don’t care if I sound mean, this girl has “let herself go” and it doesn’t look pretty. Some people can pull off being heavier (like Queen Latifah for example) but Kelly looks like her body is screaming for help!
The rehearsal pictures was from about a month ago, and I saw her on Letterman the other night, and I thought she looked great. She seemed slimmer, and her outfit was flattering. Maybe she hasn’t lost any weight, and it was just the outfit, but she looked good.

I just watched the video, and I have to say she did look much better. Also her voice just blew me away! Wow, that woman can sing!
As comfy as that Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings cloak may be, I would never wear that! Not even in the privacy of my own home. If I were to style Kelly, I would put her in a jean that had a more flattering cut, and also tailored to a proper length. I’d put her in a longer shirt, maybe something layered with an empire waist. I’d get her a good push up bra to create the illusion that she has breasts. She’d definitely need a heel. And I think a little dab of bronzer and a more structured hair-cut could do wonders!

i don’t think she looks gross, although she’s obvously a little overweight. her style has always been rather casual, on and off stage, so why should she change her style now that her figure, but not her mind nor music, changed?
Her thighs = 28 inches? I seriously think they could be. Is there anyone who agrees with me?
It’s very possible… but not so much more I think, she is pretty short. But 28 is not impossible.
