Raven-Symone in a Green Dress
We aim to present a wide range of celebrity body shapes around here – and even if Raven doesn’t perfectly fit in our curvy category, I’m pretty sure that she’s got a common body type.
Looking at these pictures of Raven, I’m immediately thinking that she’s got a typical V body shape – we can call also call it reversed triangle or cornet: wide shoulders (virtually wider than the hips), large bust, broad back – long story short, she carries more weight in her upper half.
Now a sleeveless dress that embraces the hips isn’t exactly a MUST BUY and MUST WEAR on the triangle body shape. But what would be ideal for Raven?

1. YES to A-line, fitted skirts (that are ample at the bottom) – Ironically, this type of skirts also flatters the opposite body shape, the pear – but in the pear’s case, the A-line skirt is meant to camouflage the hips, while in the V shape’s case, it has the role to create a balance between the broad shoulders and smaller bottom.
2. YES to V necks – Raven is sporting some V neck herself, but she’s look even better with a deeper V cleavage.
3. NO to (multiple) ankle straps – unless you’re skinny or tall, since they unnecessarily cut the leg – multiple times.
4. YES to well-fitted blazers that accentuate (or virtually create) the waist.
5. NO massive accessories on the arms / neck / chest, but YES to delicate ones or to very long thin necklaces that create the illusion of a longer torso.
OMG!! What happened to this girl?? She looks BAD! IMO, she looks like a man dressed in drag. Sorry!
in the first picture her face looks so crumpled like she has just bitten into a lemon.
Def. the worst outfit for her figure.
Oh, and I think it’s funny she’s trying to do the “skinny pose” with the hands-your-hips, sucking-it-in stance.

I used to watch her in That’s So Raven, and she had gorgeous curves, and was so stunning, now she’s just gone so huge. and it’s looking bad !

There is nothing wrong with Raven’s figure. I think she’s georgous. The only thing I would say is the dress she’s wearing doesn’t flatter her figure. I don’t even think she’s fat. She’s average.
I think her main problem is not so much weight as shape. She’d look much more aesthetically pleasing I think if she had a pear shape. She could have dressed better for what she has but I can understand not wanting to wear the same styles all the time. I do like the dress but it’s not flattering on her.
