Milla Jovovich: “I’m really proud of myself for not gaining the same amount of weight that I did with our first child”

39 year-old Milla Jovovich is currently 7 months with her second child – and this week, the beauty wrote a post on her Facebook page about her pregnancy weight gain and keeping healthy:

So the countdown to our new baby begins, we only have ten weeks to go! It’s so exciting, but at the same time daunting! lol! I’m hoping our experience with our first, Ever Gabo, has us prepared.

I’ve gained all the baby weight I need to have a healthy pregnancy -30 lbs.- and as of last week, I’ve started having to be really careful about my lifestyle so I don’t continue to gain unnecessarily; which is not healthy for me OR my newborn.

I’m really proud of myself for not gaining the same amount of weight that I did with our first child (75 lbs.) because I have to be ready to start filming “Resident Evil- The Final Chapter” in August of this year and I will also be nursing an infant simultaneously (get ready wardrobe department for Alice’s new “easy mama access” costume;)) so I don’t want to be on any extreme diets to get ready to go back to “action hero” mode!

Saying that, I’ve started taking long walks to keep my metabolism in high gear and working on a game plan with my trainer, Harley Pasternak to come up with the ideal daily diet for me.

Just so you understand, when I say diet, I’m not talking about losing weight, I’m talking about what I’m eating on a daily basis. I don’t want to lose ANY weight right now, because at 170 lbs. I’m at a perfect pregnancy weight for my height and build. I want to maintain where I’m at; my ideal being 175 all together (with a total of 35 lbs. gained over all through out my pregnancy).

I also want to be the healthiest I can to ensure the easiest delivery and no stress post birth when I have to establish a nursing routine, as well as, slowly getting myself and my family ready to move halfway across the world to make a big action movie with a lot of stunt work! Phew!

When Kirstie Alley decided in April that she wanted to slim down, going back on Jenny Craig was a no-brainer.

“It was so easy for me when I did it before,” Alley – who lost a whopping 75 lbs. when she was a spokesperson for Jenny Craig from 2004 to 2007 – tells PEOPLE.

Although the Dancing with the Stars alum only intended to lose 30 lbs. this time around, she ended up dropping 50 lbs. and going from a size 12 to 14 to a size 6 to 8.

“There’s this certain place I hit where I felt really energetic and agile. I was like, I want to keep going with this!” she says.

To avoid her past yo-yo-dieting downfalls, Alley, 63, wanted to take a different approach. “I thought, how am I going to solve the problem of hitting a goal and having enough fun to keep that going?”

So she bought a new set of wheels – for exercise. “I got a yellow townie bike and I ride over to friends’ houses. I bribe people. I’ll say, let’s ride to this restaurant and I’ll pay for dinner,” she tells PEOPLE. “And believe me: If I bike four miles to a restaurant, I don’t wreck it with my order!”

At home, Alley fills up on organic fruits and vegetables and her Jenny Craig meals, enjoying favorites like chicken fettuccine for lunch and chocolate brownies for dessert. Along with portion control, she says having a consultant has really helped with her slim new figure.

“I started looking at myself as an athlete. I was a competitive swimmer for a very long time and I remember that I wouldn’t have won anything or done well in swimming if I didn’t have a coach.”

It’s part of her overall strategy to do what worked well for her in the past to ensure future success. “I want it to be part of my life this time,” she says. “I’m just trying to make it fun.”

“I have a Greek salad in front of me, but I also indulge. Oh my god there’s a balance. I just had a bagel. I usually give myself bread on the weekends, but really, my body doesn’t love carbs. These days, if I was being super picky, I would love to drop 5 pounds. That is just where I have always been really comfortable at about 110 to 113 pounds. But it is harder at this age.”

With a huge Santa Barbara, Calif., wedding in the works for July 4, Jessica Simpson is doing just about everything to keep the weight off! Insiders reveal in the new issue of Life & Style that in addition to her strict Weight Watchers diet and regular workout schedule with trainer Harley Pasternak, she’s walking six miles a day!

“She’s incredibly proud of the way she’s stayed on track,” an insider tells Life & Style.

Walking that much means dedicating a lot of time to her treadmill.

“She’ll watch TV on it, talk on the phone,” the inside source shares with Life & Style. “Jess probably spends half the day there.”

The bride-to-be has gone from 175 pounds to a slinky 110 pounds — just six months after baby. And with her wedding day approaching, she’s sticking to her Weight Watchers meal points and doing squat-and-lunge sessions with her trainer “three to five times a week,” according to Harley.

“Jessica has gotten her best body ever,” an insider close to Jess tells Life & Style. “She truly feels like she’s in better shape than she was in her early 20s.”
