Olivia Wilde: “Girls don’t get dressed up for guys; we get dressed up for girls”

On men and makeup:

“All men are terrified of lipstick. But girls don’t get dressed up for guys; we get dressed up for girls. So I wear whatever I think looks best.”

On her beauty inspiration:

“I like to be bold on the red carpet, and the benefit of working with so many brilliant makeup artists is that I get to ask a lot of questions and say, ‘okay so when I go out next week to that birthday party I am going to try my own version of this with my own tools.’”

On her daily look:

“I don’t leave the house without a little foundation, concealer and mascara [on]. I think that for a lot of women it’s not about disguising yourself, it’s just about giving yourself a little bump in confidence. The older I get, the more I get to know what works best for me. Makeup is not about changing who you are, it’s about understanding your face and highlighting your best features.”

Kim Kardashian: “My butt was huge. I would walk backwards so Kanye couldn’t see”

kim-gq

On how she hated being ‘too big’ after giving birth to her second child:

“I love curves, but I don’t love my butt and my hips being so big. I totally have insecurities. There was a moment after [the birth] when my body was mush. I felt like Gumby. There was definitely a moment when I looked in the mirror and I was like, ‘I am never going to be the same.’ My butt was huge. I would walk backwards so he couldn’t see. And I would be so insecure about changing in a fitting like, ‘Babe, you can’t look at me!’ ”

On how her husband Kanye is a motivator:

“I’d know when I was starting to look better because my husband would be like, ‘Babe, you look so good!’ he would never make me feel insecure. But I would always know when he was seeing a difference….He loves that my ass is bigger. And he loves when my boobs get bigger. When I was breast feeding, they were bigger than my babies’ heads!”

On being 132 lbs now:

“I want to get back down to 120. My butt and my hips are the last to go, but I’m not stopping! Anyone who has had kids knows your body changes and it’s hard to get your body back in shape. It takes so much determination and mental and physical power and energy. After having two kids, and being able to get in shape and still feel good about myself, I’ve never felt better. I worked my ass off, I’ve altered my life and I’m proud of that.”

Kesha: “Kiss my magical imperfect a**!”

Addressing her body critics on Instagram:

dear @jackknife76 , I see that you would very much like me to know that you think I’m ugly, and also a “whore”. well, I understand that that is your opinion, but I disagree. I’m not perfect but I’m pretty fucking magical. and also, I am not, in fact, a whore. also bullying someone who has struggled publicly with body issues is pretty mean. thank god I’m in a place in my life where I feel empowered to address your nasty comments instead of letting them destroy me. so. on behalf of anyone anywhere who struggles with body image, STOP IT. my body is not your business. ✨in conclusion, kiss my magical imperfect ass 💋❤️✌🏼️💅
