Julia Louis-Dreyfus is on Redbook Magazine’s cover in March and wow, does she look good! Here’s a beauty-related part from the interview:

You’ve said before that you feel like it wasn’t until you hit your 40s that you started to feel great about your body and style. What changed?

I don’t know. I think… Well, I started working with a costume designer who was interested in me wearing more fitted clothes. And I didn’t used to do that. I was shy. Because I’m so short and small, I used to wear things that were too big for me, that weren’t flattering. So I got some good advice that helped me find more body confidence. I mean, I’m not a superskinny person at all and I always… I guess I sort of wanted to be. But now it’s like, Yeah, I’m womanish. I can take that, it’s cool. I started to own it. “I am totally womanish — so stick that in your pipe and smoke it!”

When would you say you feel most beautiful?

When I’m superskinny. [Laughs]. No, but I always feel good after I exercise. I run, hike, do Pilates. I try to change it up.

No stranger to doctor-aided physical enhancements, Lisa Rinna says she was disturbed by ‘The Hills‘ star Heidi Montag’s recent drastic cosmetic makeover, captured on the cover of the January issue of People magazine.

“I will tell you I had to take that cover off the magazine before it came in the house,” Rinna told Fancast at Friday’s anniversary party for her store Belle Gray, in Sherman Oaks, Calif. “We have two girls. I don’t think it is something you want to bring in the house and say, ‘Oh, look.’”

‘Dancing with the Stars‘ alum Rinna, who has talked publicly of her own plastic surgery including Juvederm, Botox, lip-plumping, and breast implants, says she is sensitive to her daughters’ body-image issues.

“I take a lot of the covers off of magazines if they are not appropriate,” Rinna says.

“Obviously, we are raising two young girls. Anything that has to do with weight issues, I think you just have to be really careful.”

She adds, “I mean, you know – to each his own, is all I will say.”

“People will say, ‘Oh, fashion magazines are so bad, they’re giving girls a negative message’–but we’re also the fattest country in the world, so it’s not like we’re all looking at fashion magazines and not eating. Maybe it just starts a shame cycle: I’m never going to look like that model, so… Chicken McNuggets it is!
