They came, they partied and they already left: the pretty celebs and their pretty (or less pretty dresses) at the Academy Awards!

In this colorful bunch, we get to see… Carey Mulligan who rocks her short do and whimsical dress (with tiny hanging forks), Queen Latifah who looks really good in a very flattering dusty pink dress that accentuates the curves of her figure, Rachel McAdams in a number that looks like a painting, Sarah Jessica Parker who opted for a non-structured silhouette (quite rare at the Oscars), some ruffles, some prints here and there, lots of updos, lots of pale colors on even paler skins and many many more.

After a small teaser with Kate, Halle and Jennifer, here’s the rest of the red-carpet-ready Golden Globe bunch!

Emily & John look amazing, Olivia Wilde looks hot, and Courteney Cox and & Felicity Huffman are shining, too.

Heidi Klum did lose the baby weight and looks great and hot pink was rocked (or not?) by Diane Kruger and Lauren Graham.

Christina Hendricks looked super cleavagey as always and so did Mariah Carey (too much?).

How do you like Chloe’s mega-ruffled number? And what about Tea Leoni’s and Julia Roberts slightly casual choices?

 

Check out Ashley Olsen’s dramatic lipstick! And Camilla’s fun & wavy dress (Kate Bosworth seems to like it)!

Jaime King is not painfully thin anymore and Nicole Richie looks kinda tall in that boho dress.

Hair-wise, Jessica Szohr looks really pretty with a poneytail and Rachel Bilson went for a lighter shade.

What a bunch of pretty (and some not-so-pretty) dresses!

A few fast thoughts on our Emmy-worthy celebs and their looks:

The thinnest one seems to be Perrey Reeves, Pheobe Price’s got a ridiculous dress on, Holly Hunter is another celeb from the “Fab, yet very muscly over 50″ club and Mad Men’s Elizabeth Moss’s dress was a little wrinkled.

Olivia Wilde was a lace fairy, Jennifer Love Hewitt looked lovely in yellow, while Blake had a very sexy (can’t see in the pic, but it revealed her leg, too) red-hot dress on.

Sarah Silverman’s dress wasn’t designed for her figure (it widened her), Vanessa Williams looks fabulous (especially for 46) and Victoria Rowell is clearly Obama’s number one fan.

A few remarks:

Lots of black and lots of silver dresses, almost exclusively short.

Stephanie Pratt is really skinny and her face looks kinda… dare I say it, plastic.

Cassie keeps going strong with the half-shaved hairstyle.

Jennifer Lopez’s dress – Wow or Eww?

Lauren Conrad went a little darker, Leighton Meester wore lots of make-up.

Katy Perry is ultra leggy and cleavagey and Gaga is still… gaga in Gaultier.
