Nicki Minaj: “I don’t work out. I tried it & lost my boobs”

nicki1

On why she doesn’t work out:

I don’t work out. I hate it. I don’t mean to sound super lazy. I tried it for a time. I lost my boobs. When I feel I need to lose weight, I just change what I eat. I cut out carbs and sugar. I’ll do water and protein and fruit. But I do think that you should work out. ‘My doctor tells me that and I get it. Do cardio.

… says 30 year-old Nicki in Marie Claire magazine.

I’m just 5.1 and have 36 D boobs…. I WISH my boobs would get smaller with exercise actually 😉

    • So true!! However my boobs fluctuate between 32DD and 32D depending on if I am 45kg or 47kg (I am 5.4).

    • anitanetherland

Oh, PLEASE. 5’3 and 30-32G. 🙁 It looks pretty balanced though, but I’ll look frumpy/preggers if I don’t wear a shirt cinched in at the waist.

  • seijidan

Bet she didnt lose any ass LOL

    • Moral of the story – ass implants withstand sport better than breast implants.

  • Achy

This woman is so full of sh*t. How can she lose any boobs with those huge implants?

    • mary

exactly…she is a moron and clearly doesnt grasp the concept of fat loss, whether through working out or diet you will lose weight and cant control if its from the chest or not.

  • Heather

Her implants flew out when she was jogging?

    • lc

      LOL!

  • PinkLadi

She probably lost the fat that lays over her implants. Having some fat over implants softens them so they don’t look so much like bolt-on water balloons.

    • artemis

True! And this quote also clearly proves that she has a fake butt. She would’ve had to lift weight like all hell and she still wouldn’t have gotten that huge thing naturally.

  • Even if you have implants I’m sure you could still lose the fat/plumpness and they’d look even more like bags sitting on your chest. Maybe? I do think that’s a lame excuse for not working out though.

  • jay-lisa

I wish my boobs would get smaller when I work out but nope…not happening…

  • guru

she doesnt have boob implants. come on she is african american and those women are already endowed. plus her breasts are not actually that big compared to her body so they do look natural. it;s not like she is a size 2 ruler with bolt ons

    • AnnieC

Bwahahahaha!!! Oh, that’s a good one!!

    • Isabel

The last time I checked, Northern Europeans had on average bigger breasts, and even that doesn’t mean that all of them do automatically have bigger breasts. One thing is the average and a completely different thing are the individuals that compose the statistics.

And no, Nicki’s breasts are not natural. Natural breasts don’t stay perky like basketballs.

    • rubiii
    • PinkLadi

I know plenty of “those women” who are completely flat. These types of generalizations are useless.

    • mary

umm endowed in the behind maybe, but most african american women have smaller chests

    • claire

First I agree her boobs match her body type, like you said it’s not like she’s a size 2. However, the comment you made & the others below correlating race and body size were such generalizing statements you will find people of every race in different kinds of variations. period.

      • Candy M.

It is true that many ethic groups fro africa store weight in their thighs/ lower body and are more muscular. Of course within africa there is huge diversity, all african people are not the same as so many people seem to think. The nilotes for example tend to be very tall and very thin, like a lek wek. You know, somalis like Iman look very different than hutus and the majority of African Americans have west african roots. But, yes people of the same ethnic groups , not skin color, tend to have similar body shapes.

    • Amanda

I need to call you out on your stupidity. Nicki Minaj is BLACK. NOT African American. She was born in Trinidad and didn’t come to the states until she was 5 or 6. DON’T be afraid of calling someone black. It’s not a bad word. That’s like calling Mel B (Scary Spice) African American. The girl’s from England. Just because you’re black doesn’t mean you’re African American. Get it right next time!

      • serena

Like most people from Trinidad, she is a mixture of indian and african ancestry – not just black. Fwiw I know people from Trinidad who don’t even identify as black because they’re more indian than anything, and look it too.

        • snugglepup

The islands if Trinidad and Tobago have people from different ethnic groups. Mostly creolis and indians, also some of chinese and native american ancestry. On Tobago lives mostly creolis and on Trinidad it’s more mixed. Nicki has probably blood from both origins. She has kind of indian look to her though, she has that slender, soft yet small waisted Bollywood star body, apart from her a$$ of course.

          • Isabel

In pre surgery pics, she seems like a very slender banana with average breasts and butt and not much of waist definition. She also looked better. This woman has a very beautiful face and would have been very attractive if she didn´t have all the surgery. Her IMDB board is full of compliments but I´m the type of person who rarely finds exagerated bodies attractive, specially if their not natural.

        • swissmiss

Be careful Serena or we will again be accused of promoting religious hatred and racism in the world 😀

      • Snip

But the term “black” offends white people – and you don’t want to offend white people. Ditto for “Mexican”: you have to say “Hispanic” or it pisses off the white people.

        • Sandwich

black and mexican are completely different contexts. Mexican refers to an actual country of origin, and there are plenty of hispanic people from latin america or south america that are referred to as mexican when in all reality they are not. So the term hispanic is not used to make white people feel better about themselves.

          • Snip

Not what I was referring to. There are plenty of individuals who get very stressed out when someone they know good and well is Mexican is referred to as “Mexican,” insisting on “Hispanic.” And yes, these offended people are almost always white. lol

Also, while my Native American friends refer to themselves as Indian, they can’t utter this in the company of Caucasians because it ticks them off.

Remember that scene from 30 Rock when Alec Baldwin’s character asked Salma Hayek (who was playing a Puerto Rican):

            “What do you call yourself?”
            “A Puerto Rican.”
“No, I understand YOU can call yourself – but what can I call you?”
“A Puerto Rican!” (mystified tone & expression)
“Oh no … that just does NOT sound right.”

Exactly what I’m talking about. You can’t say “Mexican” or “black” either. White people think it’s bigoted.

          • serena

Well I’ve had the opposite experience Snip…usually it’s minorities who get offended when white people collectively label them (e.g calling a latino person ‘mexican’ when they’re puerto rican). I guess there are overly sensitive uber PC white people as you described but that’s not really the norm, and I live in a blue state 😉 Fwiw I think it makes no sense when native Americans call themselves “Indian” because there’s already an entire subcontinent with a billions of real Indians. Same when latinos refer to themselves as ‘Spanish’ and they’re obviously not from Spain.

        • Tamriel

Well I’m white and I was under the impression that black was a perfectly acceptable term, lord knows there are other more offensive options. I used to go to an HBCU and noone once ever criticized me for using that term (hence the B part). By the same logic shouldn’t white people be demanding to be called Caucasian? I remember being called a “snow bunny” once and it took me a while to get it 😛

  • solaxia

You know, her and that Iggy Azaela (or whatever her name is)…that Australian rapper girl…look really similar. Both have the curvy bodies, same styling and actually quite similar faces. They just have different skin colours.

    • artemis

true, and both have huge fake butts, tho iggy’s more ok(she also has less skinny legs than nicky so it..almost looks good…almost).

the difference would be that iggy has a nice body from the front. :))

    • artemis

And it’s quite obvious why they look similar: they’re both in the rap/hip-hop industry, IYKWIM.

    • Winnie

they don’t look alike at all…Iggy’s body is natural, she’s an obvious pear-shape. she has kind of beady eyes and their facial bone-structure and noses don’t look alike at all. they’re both big, but Iggy’s can look bulbous and Nicki’s is just pointy.

  • Sharon

Well it’s kind if hard to lose fake boobs and a fake butt with exercise… Unless exercise somehow removes these implants. Nicki is a naturally petite woman. Unless she is extremely unhealthy she doesn’t need to workout to “lose weight” … So I’m calling lazy.

    See the “before photos”:

    http://bossip.com/268166/nicki-minaj-before-plastic-surgery/

    • Isabel

Completely ruined by surgery, just like Coco, but hey, booty is in the beholder!

  • rubiii

    you can lose silicone? interesting..

  • Ash

Dumba**! Her boobs are probably fake and it is almost impossible to lose them.

  • Tamriel

Totes agree with her boobs being fake, but also with her quote. When I was 30lbs heavier I was chubby all over but had these wonderful 36DD’s. Daaamn I loved those boobs. Now I’m a lot skinnier and overall happier but i just feel kinda sad and deflated in the chest area (wearing now a 32c/30d, depending on style). if I had money for surgery, which I surely don’t, I would give it some heartfelt considerations. And please don’t bash me for this comment, I have nothing against small boobs, just on me personally I miss what I used to have 🙁

    • Ash

Well Tamriel from my perspective having a reasonable boob size is good enough for a woman. B to D is a reasonably good cup size for a woman. So you don’t have to feel insecure as you are blessed with a good cup size. Anything above a D and below a B is pretty disgusting. However this is just my opinion. Lastly, women with really big boobs suffer from back problems especially during pregnancy.

      • ramona

Well normally I don’t feel offended by any comments, but seriously anything below b or over d is DISGUSTING? I know it’s your opinion but that was very rude

        • Ash

Well amongst so many bloggers here you are the only one offended by my comments! You have just made a contradictory statement. I have no intention of being rude and I am just airing my frank opinion just like many of them here. I am not trying to say that my opinion is perfect and influence others in any ways. But I am sorry for using the word ‘disgusting’. it is too strong a word. what i meant was that a desirable cup size will be between a B to D. Please don’t attack the other bloggers for the sake of attacking. I find that offensive. Have concrete reasons of why you disagree with certain views and/or words used by other bloggers. Learn to have a healthy respect for others here.

        • Emilie

I’m sorry but you have to get used to it on this site. I’ve started to ignore it, but some folks consider a lot of body typed as disgusting. It just means a strong preference against that type.

          • Ash

Well I am happy that you can understand my views from my perspective.

  • Winnie

i have nothing to say that hasn’t already been said…this shoot is awful.

  • Lisa

Doesn’t that only happen if you do only cardio?

  • walla

“I cut out CARBS and SUGAR. I’ll do water and protein and FRUIT.” Oh yeah, because fruit isn’t carbs and sugar. Right. She is so dumb.

  • Britt

I lost 15 pounds recently and also lost my full boobies 🙁 I literally have an internal fight like should I work out or should I skip it to keep myself curvier and softer. What do you ladies do???

    • energydrink

I feel your pain, this is the constant battle of the pear shape. I’m a rather small pear with wider shoulders and small but full breasts. When I lost 10 pounds, my legs and lower body looked perfect to me, longer leaner all around but still not scarily thin. I could wear outfits from when I was 11, which makes sense considering that I’m 4’11 and small framed, it just looked natural. However.. my collarbones jutted out, each of my ribs were visible, lost almost three!!! cupsizes, my big butt was gone (98 cm to 81…)and my WHR really diminished…you could say I was just thin overall. I chose to gain the weight back. Although my heavy, rubbing together thighs are back at least have medium sized breasts with my big muscular butt, and feel more proportionate overall somehow. I will always miss the legs though 🙂

    • AGame

I feel your pain girl. I recently lost about 10 lbs of fat over the span of six mths or so, which on my 5’2″ pear frame is quite a lot. Up top, my arms, abs, shoulders, and back are super tight and toned, which looks awesome. But the cost has been my bust. I was always petite in the boob dept, but now I fully rocking a flat chest.
The kicker is, I wasn’t even trying to loose weight! I have always been fit and active, but I just changed-up some of my activities/hobbies and the weight just started to fall off.
Now even if I wanted to gain back the boobs, who knows if the weight would even go there. My luck, it would head to every other region, other than my chest. I am trying to get used to it and and am focusing on perfecting and celebrating my newly athletic and toned physique, but it is a bummer 🙁

    • mary

id take the weight loss and toned body over the big boobs and softness any day…i went through the same thing with weight loss and grew to love my smaller boobs…but just my opinion 😉

    • Casey

      “What do you ladies do???”

Well, weight loss can lead to boob loss and unfortunately nothing can be done about that.

But if you’re not looking to lose weight and just want to do cardio for your heart and lungs, it’s really easy. I don’t know why NIcki is suggesting that they are mutually exclusive.

If you just want to do cardio, you up your calories eaten that day by the amount you burned (there are calculators out there). Have the residual calories come from a combo of fat and sugar and a little protein (assuming you get plenty of protein in the rest of your daily caloric intake). Your body fat nor weight will not drop if you do this, so your boobies will remain in tact.
And I know some people are terrified of eating sugar and fat, but bear in mind you’re going to be burning it off with your cardio. You’re just going to be eating enough so your body can withstand the cardio without burning you off.

  • Candy M.

Do these women like Kim K and Nicki Minaj not realize they look like clowns? Ill never forget that picture of her with the green hair, its just comical- the butt, the legs. the hair, the makeup. I remember seeing her on the vs show and the contrast was hilarious next to erin heatherton.

    • serena

Exactly, I hope not to sound rude but it genuinely baffles me why some women choose to look so plastic and trampy? I know much of it is for entertainment (stage persona) but Nicky looks ridiculous constantly and Kim is a joke. Subtlety is lost on them – it’s all about who can have the biggest butt, biggest boobs, longest extensions, most hair bleach, more pancake face, etc….at least clowns can take the costume off at the end of the day!

I adore Erin H, she is a really intelligent young woman. Not completely natural as she had a nose job but light years better than those Kardashian girls.

  • Batterfly

I’m not a fan so I don’t follow any news about her, but has she actually revealed that she had implants? I know you can definitely get the “super round and fake” look by wearing a bra that is way too small so I’m not actually sure.

    Some sources say she’s a 34C which is obviously completely wrong… She’s likely closer to a 28G/GG.

    • Faith

I am a 28G/GG and she looks bigger than mine but implants do tend to make boobs look bigger compared to a natural pair the same size.

      • D

Actually, no. Implants tend to look smaller then natural breasts the same size.
Anyway, we all know Nicki doesnt workout. We also all know her breasts are not real, so I guess at least she told half of the truth? She is clearly indirectly implying her boobs are real as if you have implants of a certain size, they will not get smaller when you lose weight – they will become more defined as they do not have a layer of fat covering them.

  • terri

I have only lost my boobs 32dd to a 30b when my bodyfat was 16 and I lost my period too so I call bs since her boobs are fake she couldnt lose them to that extent!

I don’t think she knows a lot about how nutrition though because fruit is sugar and carbs! Anyone who knows anything about nutrition would say its not carbs its over all calories dont eat more than you need that simple.

    • snugglepup

I think you lack the information… It’s easier to monitor the calorie intake if you just take away the most high calorie low nutrient foods in your diet, all “empty calories”. Sugar and white fast carbs are unuseful for the body, really. Fruits contain water, vitamins and fruits own sugar. They should not be considered only as “sugar & carbs”.

  • 22franzs

I lose my curves too when I work out and it is a constant debate; do I want to be softer and curvy a la Scarlett Johansson or thin and toned? I can never decide.

  • ohyeah

What Nikki really means to say is that she when she tried working out, her implants ruptured.

Who is she trying to fool?

  • Isabel

While I don’t think you can completely lose implants, but the the natural fat that surrounds them, I have to say that I like the pics. She seems to have a beautiful face, the hairstyle looks awsome and her body was toned down either with photoshop or with clothes. The shoot makes her look original and sort of classy, not trashy like most pics she appears in.

  • ramona

Well her comment is cleary dumb. Losing boobs won’t work with implants, but they probably looked more fake.
But she could have just said she’s not the type who likes to work out.(would have sound better) I do like that she added “But I do think that you should work out.”
I do understand her, I haven’t found one sport that captured me more than one month. I tried several times, but since it’s no fun I don’t really stick with it. But I do know that it’s important. (so I try to walk a lot, use stairs etc)

I still don’t get why she thinks she needs to bathe in make-up. I think she could be decent looking, her face isn’t that bad. She has quite a big fanbase, so the clown-appeal is not necessary anymore. Maybe people would also take her more seriously.

  • Jo

Breast implants add, but if you lose weight and you naturally would be from a 36D to a 36A, that happens anyway but instead from about oh, 36F to 36C. Implants don’t make up the whole bust. She is telling the truth. Some women have to replace theirs with bigger implants after weight loss because they look flat again.

  • Sam

I’ve recently lost 35 pounds (170 to 135) and all that happened to my boobs was that they went from a 34DDDD to a 32DDDD (btw I don’t have implants). Maybe it’s just me, but I’d much rather be healthy & toned than have tig ol’ bitties. I wish mine would shrink!

  • lc

This woman is so, so, sooo stupid. She really should not speak.

  • Amanda

Way to white wash her Marie Claire. Not cool.

  • Gabriela

Is it even possible too shrink silicon boobs with excercize? Nicky is obviously fake from head to toe. I hate big butts btw. They gross me out.

  • Lang

Everyone knows her boobs and ass are fake, and they aren’t even very well-done.
But why did Marie Claire make her skin look so light? Is there something wrong with darker skin??

    • I wouldn’t be surprised. Light skin sells better than dark. It’s sad and I don’t support it because there is so many beautiful dark women but that is the truth.

    • Winnie

Marie Claire didn’t dramatically lighten her skin. her skin tone actually looks a lot like that these days….it’s disturbing

      • lc

Yeah, I think she is white-washing herself lol.

  • Jewel

Although her boobs are fake her quote isn’t. Being an hourglass shape when I lost weight it was from all over my body and of course my boobs became smaller. Which to me was a HUGE relief! They drew too much attention and I couldn’t wear tanktops because I would hear all kinds of vulgar comments. Even so, as a C cup now I still feel uncomfortable sometimes and it doesn’t help that I like dresses designed for smaller boobs. ): But I’m trying to cope with it.

  • snugglepup

I think there’s a chance that her boobs are real. In before pics where her ass is deflated she still has kind of big and perky boobs. She could be also talking about her former body, before the surgeries 😀 idk. But yeah if you have silicons I doubt weight loss changes them dramatically.

  • Amatevi

Yikes! I don’t want that to happen.
I exercise 3-4 times a week, squats, lateral steps up etc just for the legs and bum (to bulk them up) and some belly dancing. I don’t do any cardio and I eat a lot to gain weight. Will I lose whatever curves I have? 🙁
Bar Rafeali said she works out but doesn’t diet because she doesn’t want to lose her curves. I wonder if it’s the eating or the working out?! Confused now!

  • Pixie

Google before and after pics of this broad, everything about her is fake, from head to toe. She was much cuter before.

  • Well, nobody is going to take fitness tips from her.

    • Tamriel

      WERD
I don’t think anyone’s gonna listen to any of her beauty advice. Advice on how to be oddly successful and have heaps of money on the other hand…

  • Callie

I wish my boobs would get smaller. I’d prefer itty bitty titties to my huge bazzongas any day!
