On aging:

‘I’ve always admired my mom’s lines – she has a beautiful, laughter-filled face. I’ve always thought that was attractive.’

On gaining weight while pregnant with twins in 2008:

‘I wasn’t worried – you’ve gotta feather that nest! Afterward, I was nursing for six months. When you’re a new mother, your body doesn’t belong to you for a while. You have to check your vanity at the door.’

… says 40 year-old Rebecca in Redbook Magazine.

She’s spot on with that pregnancy quote!!! And she’s gorgeous, great body too!! 🙂

  • Isabel

This woman is beautiful and the fact that she’s less exposed than many other makes her interesting. Agree with her about the vanity thing.

I also have to say that I’,m very tired of hearing all this celebrities talking non stop about pregnancy weight.

  • Debbs

Great quote and she is so beautiful.

What body type would you call her? Thin apple?

In the gun pic, she looks a lot like I do. I’m very thin in the arms and legs (and chest), but it’s so hard to get rid of the little spare tire in the middle.

I don’t really want to loose more weight, but that pudge in the middle is so frustrating. I’m just hitting Jillian Michaels videos as hard as I can and hoping that some body shaping muscle will balance things out.

Even though I’m a pear and I’ve always had a flat belly, it became hard as a rock doing Tracy Anderson’s standing abs. Give it a try!

The only way to do it is gain muscle in the arms and legs first, so you’ll have to add 300-400 calories a day, and lift heavy until you’ve gotten the amount of muscle you want. This isn’t easy and will take a while, even with good genetics. Once you’ve gotten the muscle you want on your limbs, then you can cut and lower your body fat so your left with lean, muscular limbs, and less fat on your stomach.

I had forgotten how beautiful she is! And her quotes always seem down to earth and not pretentious like other models. I would live to know what she uses on her skin!

    • Ggirl

I remember her saying in an article a long time ago that she uses plain old Vaseline every night.

She’s gorgeous! I particularly like how honest she has been in the past about her weight, there was an article about how she had “ballooned” up to 160lbs after her pregnancy and she wrote on her blog about how she had never weighed less than 140lbs even at her skinniest. Which for 5’11 is still really slim, I would guess that if she was 140 at her skinniest she is probably around 150lbs now. IMO her body is amazing at any weight, what body shape is she? Looks to be like a ruler/vase combo maybe?

I agree! I also like how this post includes a picture where’s she’s not sucking in her tummy. It is nice when you get to see the human side of all the perfected images from magazines etc.

This is her when she was 140. When i estimate other tall thin women to be around this weight, people say I’m crazy and claim they are closer to 100 lbs, like Kendall Jenner. 130-140 is really thin for people around 6 ft.

She is very beautiful, doll-like (the original older Mystique). She reminds me of Minkie van der Westhuizen, South African FHM model.

2nd pic isn’t flattering, but she’s ver lean, tall, thin. Very above average.

never liked her face…nice body though

  • ez

    i like her dress..

“Your body doesn’t belong to you for a while” um lmao no your body is always yours, you just choose to let something grown inside of it

When certain women gain weight, they still have their feminine curves, which Rebecca still has..I dont find her overweight at all, she looks gorgeous (like Helena Mattson, she looks more curvier in 666 Park Ave, but she still looks good, not overweight). It is a very different shape to obese women, who are not curvy, just really rounded throughout. She is still really stunning.

    • No-one says she’s overweight? And it’s kind of obvious she isn’t.

      • SA girl

Yes, she is not overweight…you are quite right. Just referring to the image where she had a slight tummy, but she still looks really attractive. Just pointing out the fact that she is one of those celebs that will look good, irregardless of her weight gain/loss. It is her body type, really curvy, and she is a breathtakingly beautiful woman. If I were to gain a little, I would still want to look feminine in terms of body shape. Weight gain in most women is inevitable, menopausal, or during pregnancy….however, it is important not to “balloon”out of shape .. a curvier older you is stunning
