I’ve had numerous requests to take Christina from the Golden Globes crowd and dedicate a post just to her – the reason: many of these visitors claimed that Christina looked ‘very different’.

Wow, is this the same girl that was in Burleque? She looked very slim in that movie but she looks voluptious here and even a little bloated? Has she done something to her cheeks?
well on her police report today is says she is 100 lbs, unless they didnt acutally weigh her and just asked her her weight..though this doesnt sound likely. though i dont think she looks that small myself, maybe more like 125

She looks good. I have to admit I wasn’t feeling her new curves at first but when she dresses for them she looks nice.

I think she dressed for her curves and looks as good as she can. I think she looks strange to us cuz she has such a sm frame and she is short..15lbs would look like 30lbs on her unlike most people. I love her no matter what, she is one of the best singers we have today…so I respect her for whatever she looks like as long as she keeps bringing good music.

I think she takes some kortikoids as well. She isn’t fat, she is bloated, looks like a water retention. The dress is nice, though, but I would like it better in someone thinner; I don’t know.. the blond hair, the red lipstick, the curves, are all too much, IMO

She doesn’t look good. I know weight gain is weight gain but this is too much. I’m not going to say more.
Well, she gained some weight lately, but I think it suit her “vintage diva” image. I think she looks pretty here, embracing her curves and all… Maybe she would look better with a different make-up, but I guess it’s a part of the “old Hollywood” vibe going on here.

So, actually I do never ever leave comments on this site – I’m not a natural speaker, that means I’m scared of not expressing myself in the right way – but this post really bothers me. My own weight goes up and down like a jojo, too. And my face becomes bloated up with every extra-kilo and it’s like Monday I’m pretty and enjoy to commit some eating sins and ’til Sunday I’m so fat that I don’t go out because it’s really embarrassing and the whole day I’m blaming myself for eating and eating and then again blaming.. you know.. The next week it’s the other way round and so on – it’s a terrible vicious circle.
Of course, I don’t know CA but every time I see her, she’s looking completely different. Just like I am. Maybe she’s got similar eating problems? I think the bloated face (Yeah, I know: probably also cheek implants, Botox.. whatever..), stretch marks, not very fresh-looking face do argues for my theory..

I’m not quite sure I understood what you wanted to say, but I really think you shouldn’t stress yourself so much about eating, it sounds like you take that way too seriously. If you fell good/pretty on Monday, than you should feel good about your looks an Sunday, too. I’m pretty sure your issues are way worse than your face/body could get in one week
But if you really feel bloated often, maybe you should watch your salt intake. That usually helps me.
From the front her curves look gorgeous,very hourglass like, but from the side…wahwahwah. Not so great. She looks bloated in the face as well. :/ Not a fan.

Oh my God.. I’m not talking about the weight gain, but about her face.. The make up is Ok, but she had definitely some procedure done in her cheeks and it doeshn’t suit her at all. Maybe Botox, since her eyes look different also, like too small, smaller than before for sure. Why did she even did something like that?? I mean she always had a beautiful face, there was no need of Botox, cheeks or whatever she did. Hollywood is shit. Sorry, but the pressure there is hideous. The post procedures results are hideous in many cases, for Megan Fox too.
I don’ think she has done surgery ! (well I mean lately, I think her boobs are fake) I just thin she gained weight, and you can see it in her face. It’s no big deal, she’s famous for her voice, she never was as beautiful as Angelina Jolie. I think she seems quite natural, I mean, yep, people gain weight, so what ? If I just look at her body, I think she looks fine – but her face is just so bloated looking! I’ve never known someone to put on what, 20lbs in weight, and to have so much of it show in their face! It’s not like she’s obese! If I just saw a pic of her face I would think she was wearing one of those ridiculous fat suits and was made up for a movie – and that always looks fake to me!
But her body is fine – she’s a bit overweight, but not terribly so – I would call her ‘chubby’ rather than ‘fat’. But I feel bad for her that it has changed her face so much – that’s really kind of strange to me!

Some people’s faces don’t change when they gain weight – others do. I don’t think she had something done to her face. I think she’s just unfortunate – like me. My face changes so much. Every pound shows. And it’s not just my imagination – everyone around me notices as well.
At first I thought, maybe. But if you look at pictures of her from a month ago she was the same size but her face was much more slim. So unless there’s some sort of aggravating factor, I don’t see why her face would have puffed up like that.

that’s how my face was when i was 50 lbs overweight. now that i’ve lost the weight i look much different in the face. i look at old pictures and i can’t believe it’s me. i don’t think she got anything done to her face. just weight gain.
I think her body looks good in a front view, but not so good in the first picture. But her face is sooo changed… Especially her cheeks, but her nose also looks very different from the old photo… maybe that photo had too much photoshop??

And to people comparing her body to Christina Hendricks…definite NO. Christlike looks more proportioned to me probably because she is taller, whereas this Christina looks more bottom heavy/beachball. Sorry, it’s just harder for very petite women to carry excess weight. It probably is partly because she has suuuccchh a small frame, going beyond just height. Tiny bone structure. Also, I don’t think there is anything crazily “different” about her face except for bloat/weight gain and poor choice in foundation application (around the chin especially!!)

When i was on Steriods when i was very sick I did swell up in the face quite a bit (as well as the tummy) so should could be on some sort of medication like that. I will say what I always do, I think she is a pretty girl but I think she needs to find her OWN look, not try to match that of Marilyn Monroe. She should darken her hair a bit, lighten the lip color and wear more natural makeup. She would be 10xs hotter if she did

OMG!!! I can’t believe what I am reading, numerous posts speculating (and out right proclaiming) that she is on x or y medication – get real people, you can’t tell whether or not someone is on medication just by looking at them, not even a doctor could!
So much speculation about surgery – her eyes look different because her face is fat now. Her cheeks look different because her face is fat now. She has a fat face. She has gained more than a few lbs, she has gained a LOT, look at her arms, her belly, her hips, does no one remember how TINY she used to be back in her “dirty” days? OFC she looks different, she has gained a whole lot of weight. She always had a round/oval face, she never had a sculpted model face, now she has gained and it shows in the face. Is that so hard to believe?
Oh and @ Daniel – I am not surprised to see you contradicting yourself once again. Her face looks weird to you huh? Well thats pretty weird considering you have expressed interest only in “bigger” girls, and christina’s face shape here is nothing if not the typical chubby girl’s face shape.
Anyway, I think she looks alright, her shape looks nice from the front, but from the side she almost looks pregnant. She has such a lovely looking waist and yet from the side she looks like an apple. I like that she is wearing less makeup than usual, looks better. I think in time, she will lose a bit of weight and tone up.

Man people are so harsh. Look, the girl is like 5 feet tall. When she gains even 5 or 10 lbs, it looks like a lot more because she is so petite.
On top of that, when people are going through stressful situations (i.e. her divorce, her album and tour flopping), they sometimes gain weight. sometimes they lose weight. If shes gaining weight that fast, it will make her face look puffy-er than usual.
I dont think shes had any plastic surgery, i just think the extra weight in her face makes her cheeks bigger and her face wider.
I think her extra weight is hitting in all the right places. very nice hourglass or pear shaped? I think if she toned down the blonde hair and the harsh lips, her face wouldnt look as heavy.

Every time I see a pic of her I wonder what she would look like if she stopped fake-baking and applying her makeup with a palette knife. She’s a pretty girl, but she always looks so artificial, in the same way that Anna Nicole Smith looked artificial. Women who try to emulate the Marilyn look almost never pull it off and come out looking more campy than classic. I hope that someday she lets go of this look and opts for something more natural and flattering.

I actually think the extra weight looks pretty good on her! I preferred her body in Burlesque, but I still think she’s rocking her new curves. Padme, totally agree with you! When I was in high school, all the pop sensations at the time were incredibly thin and toned and all in your face wearing minimal clothing…now look at them. It’s kind of evil but does make me a bit happy

Christina actually has similar (or dare I say better) proportions to Monroe but on a smaller, petite frame. Her waist is tinier too. Both women fans of corsets and girdles. Monroe had a fake nose and fake hair color, Christina has fake boobs and her hair has alway been close to platinum blonde since her mickey mouse club days…so what. Fake or not, the boobs complement the rest of her curvy frame, she would look very bottom heavy without them. And I don’t think she should change her hair color at all, she’d look harsh with darker hair and she looked less attractive when she went darker in the past. Her eyes looked cold and her nose looked bigger with dark hair, and overall she looked messy and aged…that was some years back. Light hair looks natural and most striking with her face and eyes. Anyways, I think her body looks really sexy in a very vintage/pin-up girl sense. I’m just not a fan of her face in these pics, it got too fat, atleast in pics (she probably looks better in real life)…and she should really, really give the bright red lips a rest!!! It’s been years! but she’s really rocking that dress with her super curvy figure…she’s built like Kim K, similar height and proportions…but not as annoying, not a self-absorbed air-head, and is worthy of being called a diva with talent. I think Christina would look better if she lost just a little weight and toned up more, nothing drastic, just 5-10 pounds max ( for the sake of her face looking slimmer), and ofcourse the bright red lipstick has to go. If I had to guess, I’d say her BMI in these pics are at 23…not overweight, just thick, but she’s lucky to have a tiny waist.

People, REALLY. The woman simply gained weight. We all gain weight differently. It is only startling because she was sooo skinny as a youth. I was a skinny kid. After having children, the weight went straight to my face and waist. Weight gain changes your facial appearance. Celebrities are people, too. Believe it or not, they actually gain weight! We have just gotten used to them sucking it out before we can actually notice.
Oh, and people, Marilyn Monroe had incredible amounts of plastic surgery—from breast implants to rhinoplasty to a chin implant. We could all be lovely like her if we have the right plastic surgery (and paycheck). Beauty is so unimpressive.

Monroe is seen as an icon and was a beauty, sure, but there are women who are just as beautiful, many even more beautiful than she was without needing to change their hair color, the shape of their nose, their breasts, etc, or wear corsets to get a wasp waist look. Besides, I know plenty of girls and women irl who have proportions very similar to Marilyn Monroe and some even more attractive… Monroe’s hourglass curvy body type is not as uncommon as some people think, especially where I come from, it’s normal to see girls with WHR of 0.6-0.7. But Monroe, she is as fake as many other celebs today, I don’t get why she is referred to as a ‘goddess’ or seen as the beauty ideal when she changed her appearance for the cameras to look more appealing, just like many celebs of today do…I guess its thanks to the media who glorify the celebs up to goddess status, it’s ridiculous…lol…I mean, as I said, she was indeed very pretty, sexy, feminine and cute and all, and she did have her own style, regardless of everything else, but, I just really don’t get what the big fuss is about, or why so many silly female celebs today feel the need to emulate her when they should just be themselves. I think Monroe back in her day was alot like Britney Spears 10 years ago…cute, sexy, loveable, all American blondes with a lot of emotional baggage…Maybe someday Britney would get labeled as some sort of goddess LOL. I feel sorry for her, in the sense that her weight is such a topic. But w/that said yes, she appears to have gained weight. No I wouldn’t call her fat, curvy yes. But I’m laughing at the comments on how she had something done to face. She looks bloated. I could be funny and say she has a bad case of IBS w/her mid section, but that wouldn’t explain her face. I’m inclined to think it could be birth control or a steroid type of medication or even antidepressants. All of those can make people can weight and it’s usually a different looking weight than when you eat too much. I myself am one of those people who gain weight from birth control – go off it, it goes. I also have friends & family that gained weight when they were on a steroid medication and antidepressants. Weight gain is a listed side effect for all 3 of these.
There of course is the possibility that she is pregnant, but if she’s that far along to be showing, I would think shew would have announced it. I’m going w/antidepressants – after all she did go through a divorce.
