Christina Aguilera rocked the stage last night at the American Music Awards… and she did so while wearing a tiny leotard ensemble, matched with black fishnets and a glittery belt.
How do you like this stage look on Christina’s figure?

I hate to say this but she looked better when she was younger and thinner. I’m not talking about the “Dirty”-phase but before that. The innocent girl look suited her and I think still would, even though she’s older now. The weight gain is not the worst. It’s the make-up and hair!

Okay she looks pretty awful. The whole leotard+tacky tights look on stage might sort of work for some people but Christina can’t pull it off anymore. That combined with her hair (ugh) and her horrible makeup makes her look like a washed out middle aged prostitute. Plus that is sooo unflattering on her body.
I’ve always had a weakness for glittery drag-queenish stuff, and i gotta say i think Christina looks fabulous here, even if pretty tacky at the same time
Not a day-look by any means, but for a show, works for me. That’s what she does best imo, her performance get-ups are awesome, but she doesn’t know how to scale it down for weekdays and ends up looking haggard.
Her tongue on the third pic is freaking me out…after getting rid of this in my head I can say she is trying the way too hard with the sex-bomb image. And overall she looks great fuller too, though here it is too much she got a puffy face.
I actually prefer her a bit fuller too? Except maybe the legs…but I like her thicker thighs and hips personally. Her waist stays so small

I’m sorry but platinum blonde hair doesn’t look good on curvy women IMO. I think it looks kind of wannabe which is sad because the only reason why this looks so silly is the WEIGHT.
I don’t agree with this, because I don’t think platinum blonde looks good on anyone. Not even the “wannabes” as you nicely put it. But the way she dyes her hair does not signify that she doesn’t want to be curvy, and I’m not entirely sure where you got that from.
yea…im not a fan of platinum blonde hair on anyone personally either. I thik its a lot to do with the stereotype that goes with it. Not satying all girls want to be the stereotype but I think that a lot that do go that colour do look up to the kind of barbie/ playboy woman. It generally goes with a lot of tan and makeup too and not many clothes…Christina is a good example!
I know some people are naturally that colour! and thats fine! they will suit it and not look try hardy. And some people just dye their hair that colour and dont have all the other studd to go with it and im sure they look great too

Are you kidding? You must be. I think that how a particular hair color looks on someone has to do with things such as skin color, if it is a well done color job, and if the person has the personality and confidence to pull it off. I actually prefer the hair color she had for burlesque, and sure she probably put on a few pounds, but like others have said. She is a mother! A grown women! Nearly 30 years old! She should not have to maintain the body of a 15 year old. That would be unhealthy for her, sick even. Stop being so harsh and unrealistic. If that is your opinion fine, but it is not factual.
I think you got it wrong. I love Christina’s body. Curvy or thin. It’s always been amazing but she’s always had a good style and hair but this doesn’t look good anymore.Because of her weight AND her age.

I can see your point regarding the age, but the one regarding weight I still find ridiculous. For instance I think, if a 22 year old curvy (even overwight) girl wanted to dye her hair platinum…GO for it. You only live once, and you might as well experiment with something as begnin as hair color, if that is what makes you happy. There is no law against it, she is not doing anything wrong. Like I mentioned, I personally prefer her hair color from the movie burlesque better, but she looks just fine here too.
actually i know a woman in her 50′s that really suits it. As does my mum…though its slightly shorter style so looks a bit neater and they really suit it. In their younger days though, they didn’t! Also i think its sad that people are expected to have bodies of 15 y/o’s…i mean…they are 15! WHY are we even thinking that is sexy? Sorry wasnt having a go at anyone in particular! Does she look like she may be pregnant? I know she is going through a divorce, but it looks like she has a little baby bump?!?! My body went through the similar changes early on in my pregnancies. I don’t know…..just an observation.

Agree about the make up even drag queens must be jerking their heads back in horror. Its too heavy even for stage. She did look better during the “Dirrty” phase. But back then she had a personal trainer and a dietitian. Shame she never kept it up espicially now she’s divorcing it could give her an emotional outlet.

But, as a very slim but also very large breasted woman I would like to clarify, I don’t think that is ‘armpit fat’ but just a side effect of having large breasts and a very tight, bustier-type top.
It even happens to women with more petite chests as well. I think it’s just a bad outfit choice.

Yeah, I noticed what you called -armpit fat- too. I don’t really care for it, reason being that I have that as well. Especially in tops like that. I think if it was not something I hated about myself, I woulnd not even notice it on her, of think twice about it. Having said that, you do not have to be FAT to have that. I am on the lower end of a healthy bmi. I have a 34 B chest. No one would call me fat, most people say I am really thin actually. Unfortunately I still have a bit more (ok…fat, tissue w/e) in the side and underarm area then some people do. It tends to be more noticable if I am wearing a push up and breast tissue is being pushed back a bit. Does it bother me? Sure. Is it something anone has ever noticed or commented on? No.
Yeah, even if you have skinny arms, when you have a big bust and a push-up bra like that, “armpit fat” in bound to happen. But it’s never cute, haha
Exactly! I agree it is not the most attractive feature of the body for sure. But it does not mean anyone with that ‘underarm’ trait is fat, or overweight at all. Unfortuantely for me, the only time my underarms get ‘hollows’ in them, (like a ‘pit’ i guess) is when I AM quite underweight. Underweight to the point actually that people are concerned and state as such. However with a bmi of 19-20 right now i DO have that fleshy part between them boob and underarm. It is just the way my boobs are positioned, the shape and the nature of that part of my body. When I reached a normal weight, it took me a while to accept that part, and weat tanktops, and sleeveless shirts or dresses, due to my embaressment of that. When I finally wore that type of clothing, to my surprise, everyone still stated that I was quite thin, giving the impression that, the feature went unnoticed. Although, I am quite sure that seeing a post like this would of had a very negative impact. (One reason I think we should all use caution regarding how dramatically, negatively and harshly we state our opinions. It is a free world, we are online and all that, however use your conscience. THink about, what would happen if a vulnerable young girl, or boy, with a similar physical feature, was to read the dergaing statement. Believe it or not, things like that can have extremely negative influences on impressionable young minds. And young people these days, have nearly unlimited internet access. They ARE on this site, reading these comments. We all have a degree of human responsibility. That’s about it, I truly am not trying to preach or condescend to anyone, I hope it does not come off that way. I just worry about the impact certain words can have on people. Good or bad, words are more powerful then we realize.

In motion, it did not look as bad last night. I actually thought she looked pretty good. And her song was amazing- one of the best live performers of the bunch, imo.

The outfit with the fringes actually makes her appear larger than she is but she doesnt look bad with a extra weight. And as far as all the makeup comments… its BURLESQUE. It’s supposed to look a little draggish. Give her a break. The performance was awesome.

Burlesque is supposed to be sexy and alluring whilst still holding a touch of class (in my opinion there is no class in burlesque but that’s the general consensus)…I think the point people are trying to make is that she doesn’t really meet any of the above criteria.
I have never really found Christina to be attractive. She’s too artificial looking and I’ve never really liked her body. She’s a little heavy for my taste. I’ve never liked her slutty image either. She has so much talent yet her image somewhat ruins it. It’s too bad.

She definitely doesn’t look as bad as Britney in the fishnets that time, but there’s still a lot of room for improvement – namely, the makeup. Horrendous! And also, though she doesn’t look fat per se, she could use a little toning up/slimming down.
Wow. I’m really surprised by how harsh some of these comments are. Yes, she gained but at the same time I think her curves look good. She’s certainly not overweight. As for all the criticism of her outfit choice, she’s promoting a film called Burlesque. Yes, I agree that the outfit’s unflattering but her film role probably explains why she went for the look.
A while back people commented on the Miley Cyrus post to say that Miley had gotten chunky and I was stunned by that too. It’s like no celebrities are allowed to gain without being criticized. And yet, when posts about obese people (e.g. Gabourey Sidibe) appear on this site, there are many saying that it is her choice to be unhealthy.
So, you’re either supposed to be pin thin or obese? If I could have any figure in the world I’d want to be a curvy girl and I think that Christina is a good example of that.
I saw her performance and she did not look as bad as these still shots..she also sang really great as usual…having said that..she is a little chubby for my taste…I feel terrible for her and her divorce, I understand the weight gain…but if I was gonna be on the AMA…I would try to low carb and workout or something a few weeks before..she needs to find a middle ground..she use to be a little too skinny…so I hope she finds a healthy weight and begins to take on a new image that is more mature…still sexy, but more glam like her last album…she needs to wear expensive looking fashion, she can afford it! I agree! The weight gain is not that big a deal, but she could have worn a more flattering outfit. I actually think she looks all right with more weight – her implants actually look in proportion now, they used to look huge! If she wears more flattering outfits, then I think she is beautiful at this weight.
Holy crap, how judgmental all of you people are about her body! How do you think you will look like after children and a divorce? Keep in mind that the picture a camera takes is not the same as seeing it with your own eyes– I’m willing to bet money that in real life, her weight gain is not nearly as bad as people are making it seem to be. She’s still in shape with a healthy body…what’s so wrong with that? Yes, her body is significantly different from when she started, but she was a teenager back then. Why hold someone to how they looked over ten years ago? Why expect someone to keep their looks the same despite the experiences and wisdom they’ve accumulated in that time? And why hold onto the mentality that the younger and thinner someone is, the more attractive they are? Is letting life teach you lessons and letting those lessons be etched onto your body really that unattractive?

My dad even noticed her weight gain and he rarely notices anything celeb wise. I saw her in some interview on tv today and her face looked so much larger! I was shocked because just five or six months ago she was super skinny and had a rockin’ bod! Last night I saw the bottom of her belly and was like OH SHIT!
She is nothing like Britney at the awards. Yes, she has gained weight, but Christina can actually sing and has talent. Britney was lip synching ans stumbling all over the stage. I say, give the girl a break, i’m sure she’ll lose the weight eventually.
