Best figure to have IMO. She is actually a pear/hourglass combo as even being slightly bottom heavy she still has a significant different between her bust and waist as well as the waist and hips.

True, but many women are combos!
So a pear/hourglass combo will have measurements like 34-26-36 ie. only a few inches difference between the bust and hips that stop them from being completely symmetrical.
I’d personally say Shakira is more on the purer side of pear shaped. Whatever she is, her body is amazing!!!!

As you’ve mentioned, it’s all about waist-to-hip ratio rather than fat levels.
It’s so refreshing to have a slim girl described as curvy because she has a lovely feminine shape, rather than a fatter girl claiming she’s ‘curvy’ simply because she’s carrying a few more pounds.

although keep in mind, many pear or hourglass shaped women (and lots lots of women are pear shaped) who gain extra pounds end up gaining it in certain areas and not as much in others… example, their butt and boobs…. which indeed, make them more “curvy” when theyve got some extra pounds in certain areas.
