Emily Blunt Brings the Quote of the Day

“I feel the fear of the business creep under my skin in L.A. in a way that it doesn’t in England,” she said. “It’s funny — I feel like beauty is in the eye of the beholder, unless you’re in Hollywood!
“It’s shameful how you have to look a certain way. Women are simply not allowed to grow old gracefully. That’s why I love playing character parts, because I’m not pigeonholed into trying to remain young forever to play the ingénue or romantic lead.”
“I think [my family] are very proud of me but in the way you’d sort of expect, not in a gushing, obsequious way, but just because I’m their child,” she added. “I think they’re relieved their child is doing well in a business that is known for crushing people.”
Emily Blunt on Beauty & Hollywood.
I like her, she seems real and smart (and because she’s engaged John Krasinski, that’s a plus:)) .
In case anyone is wondering, she’s 26.

What a reasonable mature attitude. Shame this is out-of-the-norm.
And she looks great too.
i love her, she is such a great actress. it seems like the actresses who are not traditionally “hot” are those who also have the best acting skills, which is a sad commentary on hollywood. I have to admit though, I always thought she was in her 30’s, there is something very mature about her face.
does anyone know where to get her biker boots?
she is very right. everyone’s views of how people should age- ESPECIALLY WOMEN! is just warped and pathetic.
It’s always nice when a young actress as some intelligence and wisdom.
I like her attitude. she seems smart and knows to stay clear from the hollywood hype
Apparently she is Meryl Streep’s favorite actress working today.
Anyways, love her, I think she looks great, and she really chooses her roles wisely.
Does anyone know where her boots are from? Theyre awsome!
