Emma Watson’s New Burberry Ads

Harry Potter’s beauty Emma Watson (19) is showing off her modelesque side in a new set of ads for Burberry’s 2010 spring/summer collection.

Oh my god you’re right! The guy in the 5th picture! If you look closely at their faces they’re very similar. Wow, good looks DEFINITELY run in that family.

Wow… i like it A LOT! She is gorgeous, as usual, but I like the fact that she looks natural doing it, like a real person would wear it, not like a model who just let the clothes wear her.
Emma is just beautiful and so talented.
What’s she doing. She’s not a model. She’s not doing it right. arghhhhh leave modelling to the models, emma, stick to acting!
Totally agree; I love her and think she’s beautiful but she’s too stiff and her expression and pose are repetitious here.
Absolutley agree – plus to me she looks much more appealing and beautiful if she’s not photoshoped to the extreme.
Her jaw looks so manly in this shoot , even though it doesn’t normally , she kind of lost her soft features .
I usually love her , her acting ( even though she’s still lerning ) , her looks and style as well as her personallity and of course her nice accent. But please , please – don’t do that again. Same facial expression in every single shot .
Am I the only one not feeling it? She is stiff, always in same/similar pose. With Burberry classic designs whole thing looks kinda boring. I’m still in love with black and white Kate Moss, perhaps that’s my problem…
Exactly what I noticed.
If you scroll down really fast, it’s like someone just took the same face and photoshopped it on all of the images. Same expression.
She is pretty but I feel like modeling is out of her element. I think it’s easier for her to be expressive through video than through pictures.
She’s too average to be a model. She’s pretty, yeah. But not model pretty and can’t pull the same pose. Ditto Ana, Animaniac, Coconut.
Agree, She’s beautiful but a model needs something speacial and captivitating about her. Just look at Kate Moss, not a traditional beauty but still stunning in way where you just have to look at her.
I think she’s defiently beautiful enought she just doesn’t do it well. Very stiff and repetitive.
“But not model pretty” – high fashion models, more often than not are quite ugly in the face? Kate Moss is a great example of a relatively odd-looking woman who is not conventionally attractive in the slightest. My grandmother worked as a designer for years in the modelling industry and they tended to pick clothes’ horse type women with “odd” or “unique” facial features. They don’t pick “pretty” models, because that distracts attention from the clothing. If anything, Watson has a face that is far too beautiful for high fashion. I would agree that it doesn’t seem to sit well with her though.

It looks like whoever directed the shoot got everyone to give look bored, but stare directly at the camera and I don’t think the look suits her.
She is cute though.
She’s pretty, but all these pictures look identical to me. I don’t know anyone young that would buy a Burberry piece of clothing because of this boring campaign.
I just always look at her and thing, geez she’s a baby. I keep thinking of the first Harry Potter film…makes it hard to take her seriously in a burberry ad.

oh emma! i think that girl is GORGEOUS but she DOES look kinda the SAME in her burberry ads. she’s new to modeling, maybe she’ll get better? i feel like each ad looks FABULOUS by itself, but side by side there’s no variety in her facial expressions or stances.
i was impressed by the first burberry ad that i saw her in, but 10 pictures of the same thing gets old.
I think Emma is such a unique beauty, and the perfect choice for Burberry – classic and modern. She is ’smizing’ enough to grab my attention and I like looking at these photos, she makes me want to buy the Trench coat she is wearing.
I agree she really fits with the Burberry image and I like the ads. And I know what you mean I would definitely wear all these trench coats ! And the bags….
i love those trench coats! and yea while she might not be a natural model, heres your average girl doing modeling, shouldnt you guys be happy?

Can someone explain to me what’s so great about Burberry? Saw their shop in Oxford street, had heard a LOT about them – my conclusion – ridiculously overpriced pretty banal stuff. I’m all for admiring something designer that looks amazing, but I never got the point of buying a 500$ trench you can get for 5 pounds at primark and looks virtually the same.
She looks great, but all very similar, but that’s really Burberry’s fault…they could have made them more varied!
She’s gorgeous. She’s so pretty I find it distracting watching Harry Potter when she’s on screen. I wish I looked like her.

i don’t know…. i mean, she’s a pretty girl for sure, i don’t think anyone would argue that. But these pics DO all look the exact same: as in the expression on her face. Her mouth seems wonky to me in these pics, like it’s completely frozen, or as if they took one pic of her smile and just pasted it over every single picture.
Oh dang, is that her brother in the third to last picture? Alex, was it? They both look great.
Uh, y’know she is being directed. In a fashion shoot there are stylists and art directors and the photographer acts as a film director. This is the mood they are trying to create. When a series like this is developed, it is based on a concept. The company is obviously looking to inject some youth and attract younger clients.
Ridiculous as most people her age can barely afford Burberry knock offs!
