Forbes Magazine just released their highest earning models for 2009 list… and there’s no surprise! Gisele is still on top (the third year in a row), followed by Heidi and Kate (just like last year).
Here’s Top 10:

3. Kate Moss – $8.5 million
4. Adriana Lima – $8 million
5. Doutzen Kroes – $6 million

Miranda Kerr is my favorite model hands down. Not only is she gorgeous, but she looks approachable at the same time.
Not only am I surprised Marissa Miller is not on there, I’m really surprised Kate Moss is so high up on the list. I haven’t seen her do actual modeling in a while and every time I see her she looks very messy.
I love Daria Werbowy. She’s my favourite supermodel outhere.
Marissa Miller didn’t make the list ’cause except USA, nobody knows her. The other-ones are known world-wide, especially first eight.

And I forgot to mention Heidi Klum. She’s a really good role-model. I like her so much!….and why not….Kate Moss with her impecable sense of style and her inner sparkle.
I love Daria, Doutzen and Carolyn. Kinda shocked Gemma Ward isnt on the list but I know she hasnt been everywhere like she was 2-3 years ago, she is my favorite model. Such a great beauty.
I thought Jessica Stam and Adriana Lima would have been in the top ten aswell.
I love that Natalia is on the list considering she has had 3 kids in the past 6 years, and she still looks phenomanal.

I am also surprised that Marissa Miller is not on the list. I didn’t recognize Carolyn Murphy right away (had to google her to see her face) and I also agree that Jessica Stam should be on the list.
I would say my favourites from the list are Adriana, Miranda, Alessandra, and Daria.
No surprise really. Adriana is by far my favorite on this list and ironically enough, my least favorite is Giselle.
Oh and I forgot, Kate Moss? I’ve never found her to be attractive but I guess she is highly paid because she’s done so much work and is so well known.

How is Natalia Vodianova a healthier version of Miranda Kerr?! First of all, they don’t look alike at all imo. Second, didn’t you hear about Miranda Kerr eating super-healthy and Natalia Vodianova formerly struggling with eating disorders?
Yes Miranda wrote she eats healthy but everyone says they eat healthy but still somehow manages to looks beyond skinny.

I was staying away from almost everything containing fat/sugar/white carbs…… which is definitely NOT the way to go if you wanna stay healthy!!!!
Also, Natalia had children recently. Clearly it wouldn’t be the case if she was anorexic (amenorrhea impedes you to procreate).
Yes, but the point is that it is still entirely possible that she is eating super-healthy. Of course that’s not always the case, but it still may be true given the fact that natural skinniness is not just a myth (alas).
Plus, sugar/white carbs are definitely unhealthy, but they will help to quickly add fat to someone with a small frame.
I do believe that some people are born skinny or thin and stays that way for most of their lives, but I also believe that most of these people who constantly tell us how healthy they eat, just do it because they are trying convince us and more importantly themselves that they are healthy while the fact is that they are sick.
Of course there are many people who stay thin and have normal eating habits.
However if someone tells you they’re having an apple for breakfast, a boiled egg for lunch and a leaf of lettuce with some grains for dinner, what would you say???!!!
It might be considered “healthy eating” for somebody……. but could you honestly live normally and keep up with your daily activities with such a diet???!
PS: my description of the “healthy menu” is a bit exagerated but I did it on purpose to clarify my point of view
I never had dinner with Miranda Kerr so I can’t tell if she’s eating healthy or not as she claims, there’s no proof that she’s eating like a normal human being, as far as i know she could be vomiting right after too.
Isn’t she the model who preaches a lot about healthy lifestyle but yet caught smoking on several occasions? with other model and friends and of course with her bf!

Forbes List of Top Earning Models are always CRAP…
Gisele, the highest paid model dissed Forbes by asking where are they getting all these money figures cause Gisele herself claimed that she never earned what Forbes is saying.
Anyways my opinions are:
1. Gisele – she didn’t loose any contracts, but rather gained a few new ones, why is her earning down by 10M?
2. Doutzen – the girl didn’t loose any contracts as well, but rather gained a few new ones, why is her earning still the same?
3. Emmanuela – where’s Marisa? for goodness sake she has a VS angel (not a VS model) contract and Harley Davidson plus all her other gigs outside of VS.
4. ALESSANDRA – THERE’S NO WAY SHE CAN MAKE 6M (SAME AMOUNT AS DOUTZEN) IN JUST 6 MONTHS AFTER HER PREGNANCY WITH VS AS HER ONLY MAJOR CONTRACT. NOW HOW DOES THAT HAPPENED?
5. What also happened to the other models on the list last year? e.g. Isabeli and Hilary They didn’t loose any contracts as well. Why aren’t they included in the list anymore?
6. Where are the top highfashion models on that list? I’m quite sure they made big bucks too from those round the clock ads and commercials.
IMO, Forbes or whoever is that writer maybe must NOT publish a ridiculous list like this if they cannot get the facts straight! It’s such a shame and so unfair for the other models who are much deserving to be on that stupid list as well!

Sorry Alessandra but it’s just so impossible to believe! Don’t get me wrong but in my humble opinion, you don’t want to be left behind (no excuse now cause you’re not pregnant anymore like last year that you didn’t make the list) especially by a new VS angel and still quite a new model in the industry by the name of Doutzen!
I’m also surprised that Marissa is not included in the list cause she has a VS angel contract. No Americans ey!
I agree with the other poster said that the top 8 are known worldwide and coincidentally, those models have high fashion backrounds, except for Heidi of course.
I have to admire Doutzen cause she’s one of the testaments in fashion industry that you can be a successful model without any fuss, controversies, or famous/rich boyfriend/husband! No offense to the other models on the list, but that’s just my opinion.

whot eva, it’s not about looking hottest, it’s knowing how to advertise yourself and work ur ass off. i know my fair shair of the modelingindustry, but i don’t pay close enough attention to know who features the most covers, does the most shows, owns the most personal labels etc. etc… first eight def. say supermodel to me, the 10th i don’t know and miranda kerr seems very commercial to me, but seems to be bringing home the dough just fine. agree with all that marissa miller is right not to be here. it would be crazy if u could earn that kind of money by posing in S.I and do some lingerie gigs. I haven’t ever even seen her anywhere else than in gossip blogs(’cause i don’t read SI or the sorts..and ’cause i’m not from US)
