Heidi Klum: ‘I’m not running to get Botox’

#5939085 Project Runway hostess and mom Heidi Klum performing motherly duties around West Hollywood, CA on October 23rd, 2010. Picking up kids from Karate, doing her own shopping and grabbing something to eat for the kids were only a few of the things that this mom is now able to do since she hung up her Victoria Secret modeling wings recently. A few days ago, supermodel Heidi Klum was telling us that ‘skinny isn’t always better’ – and today, the same Heidi talks about aging:

“I don’t think of getting older as looking better or worse; it’s just different. You change, and that’s OK. Life is about change. I don’t have anxiety about it, so I’m not running to get Botox. Maybe that will change, but I don’t think so. I feel comfortable in my skin and comfortable with ageing, so I think it’s OK that I get wrinkles.”

… says Heidi in Self Magazine.

I agree with her 100%.It`s ugly to see people that had done botox all looking with same expressions!
There`s nothing wrong about aging, the most important thing is that ure growing healty

I agree with her too. Ageing is not a bad thing and it is weird when people get botox and look all paralysed – I couldn’t do that to myself! I think she will naturally age beautifully anyway – and natural beauty is always better, imo!

I was in the states recently and was alarmed by the number of women who’d had Botox/ facelifts. It looks really obvious and unattractive. I think the most beautiful thing about a person is their confidence, and the ability to love themselves. All the people I’ve come across who went under the knife or other cosmetic procedure where insecure unhappy people have surgery to that extreme.

I have nothing against women who get Botox. I think for some women it is beneficial, both in appearance, but more importantly, in self-esteem. I don’t want to be the kind of person that places judgment and criticizes those who just want to feel better about themselves. After all, that’s what we tell people to do…feel good about themselves and have high self-esteem. Not everyone can do that with what they were born with and that’s fine.

I do also think a lot of women use it when they really don’t need to…women who have good genes who want to look practically perfect. I don’t think looking perfect should be a goal. If you’re lucky and you have little wrinkles and glowing skin naturally, you don’t have to make it look even more amazing…you’re already ahead over most people.

That being said, I do actually believe Heidi. I don’t see her as someone who would get Botox. The reason for that is she seems to have a very strong bond to her family…usually people who have that kind of support system are able to accept their flaws a lot easier than others, and don’t place so much importance on appearance. She has a loving husband, a great extensive family (from what she says), and lots of cute kids.

Wow, I’m liking her more and more.
I love this… we are roughly the same age and it’s been a bit tough for me. We are such a ‘youth culture’ here in the states and you really do feel like you may as well shrivel up and die when you hit 40. I decided to embrace this chapter in life and forget about trying to look younger. The women who inject their faces with all this stuff (mainly filler)… look so distorted and creepy.
I get why they do it… I really do. It’s just nice to hear a beautiful celebrity come out against it and actually mean it. I also really like her stance on aging in general.

  • Didn’t she have a nose and boobs job early in her career though..?

Exactly what I was thinking….. She is confortable with her wrinkles but she was not with her small boobs and natural nose? Hum….. did she change ger mind about having work done because she became wiser over time or is she just telling BS to get some attention???

She never had a nose job if you look at photos of her when she was like 15 it’s exactly the same, kinda weird looking.

  • Lang

I don’t think she had a nose job, and she definitely never had a boob job. I’ve seen the bikini pics that prove it.
