She looks great but I wish her waist was a bit smaller. In the 4th picture you can see her waist makes her look bigger than she is. In the other picture she looks “normal” sized and toned. Beautiful face though.
Seeing Doetzen makes me feel like it’s not too late to start a modelling career. I think I’m in better shape than her!

her abs are impressive, but her thighs are huge.. she doesnt look like a model at all… her thighs dont need to be stick thin but they’re too bulky in my opinion.. i agree that she looks like shes in pain in every single shot.. im waiting for the photoshopped versions of these photos lol
Or, you’ve been fed images of stick thin models and told it was good to look like that throughout your life and when you see a beautiful figure like this one you hold only one beauty ideal and cannot accept anything bigger than skinny, even if it is slender. Doutzen is a model. Deal with it, in an industry based on body more than beauty, she’s very well known and succesful- even against the bony women. So, I have to say, you should maybe rethink your opinion.

if you actually fully read the post you’ll notice that i say she has incredible abs.. as i said before, she doesn’t need to have stick thin thighs, but in my opinion hers are too bulky for a model. she needs to tone her legs… i dont see why it has to be one extreme or the other, thin vs. bulky

I think she looks great, and exactly what i’d like to see more in the modelling industry; not pin-thin but not in the plus-sized category either, a slim, toned and beautiful looking woman. Her facial expressions seem a bit odd but maybe they’ll work in the final pics

She looks amazing. I think she weighs around 140 lbs, she is quite muscular so no way is she 120. However, don’t really care, her body is really nice. She just took her shape and made THE BEST out of it!
She looks really good, her and Bar are my favorite models(non-plus size, anyway
) that are feartured on this site. And both of them should take it as a major complement when people say that they don’t look like models because of their boidies

Oh, I know they are models(look at my opinion on the last Bar post
) and I completely agree with you, but some people like to say they shouldn’t be models becasue they don’t look like models(or that they are too “big” to be models), and those people are usually referring to the ultra slim to unhealthy skinny models when they say “model”

Its interesting how now all of a sudden Victoria Secrets has models with great bodies. A week ago they were being crucified for having unhealthy models when they adding a few beautiful models to the list who happened to be thinner. How much of a let down it was, etc.
I think whats great about Victoria Secrets is that they have real world models. They have thinner models and more average weight models. There are thin people out there too who need clothes too!
That’s because most of the gossip sites focused on the skinny models in order to create a story (Victoria’s Secret Models Getting Too Thin), and used only high flash pictures which makes anyone reasonably thin look like a skeleton. They do it every year.
I agree that with the absence of Adriana and Karolina, and with the addition of Chanel Iman and Anja Rubik, it might seem that way at first.
But the truth is, models like Maryna Linchuk, Julia Stegner, Lily Aldridge, Behati Prinsloo, and Anna Jagodzinska were also in the show. Anna is probably about the same size as Doutzen, if not bigger. The rest of the models that are regularly in the show, aside from Miranda and Alessandra, are the same size as ever.
Anyway, long story short, I think people were saying that because they got only selective information.
hahaha pure comedy puhleaaaassee people crucify vs and say their models are getting to thin because they are no one has gotten selective information take a look at the fashion shows over the years from the early 90s to mid 2000s when they hired healthy models that dont look a bag bones with push up bras i.e. (Astrid Munoz. Stephanie Seymour,Molly Sims,Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Frankie Rayder, Fernanda Tavares and the list goes on……..) to the most recent fashion shows hiring these high fashion models who people have no interest seing in bras because they look pre pubescent. To say that Anna is bigger than Doutzen I dont even know where Annas’s thigh starts and end because she’s that skinny her calves and thighs are the same size. Even though I respect Ed Razek , Monica and company hire more Adriana’s,Karolina’s,Giselle’s,Tyra’s, Alessandra’s,Daniela Pestova’s,Doutzen’s and less Rosie Huntington’s,Mirandas, Chanel Imans and Marissa’s(Don’t get me wrong they have beautiful faces) and they wont hear any flack. Leave the high fashion models where they belong in bathroom stalls with toothbrushes down their tonsils.

I find your comment to be very rude, in a number of ways. I’m not going to fight with you, but I think you should really address your hatred of thin people and your assumption that all of them force themselves to throw up.
Anyway, all I said was that the posts about the VS Fashion Show did not show pictures of the healthier looking models, which IS giving selective information. Whether or not even the healthier models are too thin is up to people to decide based on their opinions, but the fact is, gossip/blog sites did not show pictures of the healthier models and allow people a chance to decide based on unbiased information. At first I thought the models were too thin. But then I saw the rest of the picture ands decided the show was the same as it has been since 2003.
I can’t post pictures but if you go to the gallary on vsholic dot com, you can see. And I’m sorry, but you’re either confusing Anna with someone else, or you’re wrong, because her thighs are defiently bigger than her calves. There were plenty of slim but healthy looking women in the show, not just high fashion models, although they were there too. Variety is good.
unfortunately there are some people that are suffering from the things they make fun and probably, sorry to say it, don’t know of any other way of getting/staying thin.
first off I wasnt trying to be vile or make fun of models with eating disorders because that is a serous issue and maybe I shouldve left the last sentence out. Next in no way shape or form do I have hatred towards thin people nor do I think that they they throw up but the truth of the matter alot but absolutely not all of high fashion models have eating disorders but of course that’s kept on the hush hush. If you dont believe me look up an Ali Michaels interview on youtube along with Natalia Vodianova who has repeatedly spoken about it. Also if you can read an article in vogues 2005 shape issue with Scarlett Johansen. And you are right there should be a variety but the variety this past couple of years has been lackluster to say the least. And these girls are deff more thin than the ones of the 2003 show. I dont think the fact that they use high flash has anything to do with them looking lie skeletons they are just that shockingly thin naturally. I dont want to fight with you as well but this is how I feel and I’m sticking to it. If anything I’m just a little annoyed at the fact that VS has conformed to the fashion industries standards when they use to turn their back and look the other way. I want my curvy girls back whether they be 4 or 8 I don’t care I just want them to have hips, boobs and ass because that’s what sells lingerie.

Oh and I read Natalia Vodianova’s article once before I think. Definitely sad. I will agree with you that I don’t like high fashion model standards. I just happen to think that at least half of VS models don’t fit into that category. (shrug)

you know, after reading some of the comments back and forth here, i have to say i’m pretty frustrated. i understand how women who are naturally very thin would be frustrated by people accusing them and other women of having EDs based on their shape.
but it is really unfair for those women to call people who would criticize unnaturally thin women “haters of thin women.” that’s so unreasonable. i’m a thin woman myself–not a beanpole amazon–and while i can relate to charges of being unhealthy because i have such a petite upper half, i can also recognize likely unhealthy frames.
first of all, no one can deny that alessandra and miranda are thinner than they have been before. alessandra, ms. kurkova, and heidi have all alluded to pressures to be thin. i think some of them have caved. that doesn’t make me a hater of thin people, just someone who bristles at the notion that women should manipulate their bodies into an unreasonable standard of beauty–a standard which denies natural curves in the name of fashion.
second, the slim body type is so fashionable, as many in the industry and otherwise have stated, because it’s so unattainable. If it were, then it wouldn’t be en vogue. With that “logic,” how can there possibly be so many people who are just “naturally skinny?” I don’t buy it, not from everyone who says it.

Back in the day, when you thought of what a woman, a real woman looked like, you envisioned one that could embody sleekness, fullness and fitness all into one body. By jobe, she’s done it as far as I’m concerned! May your life be filled with misery and woe if anyone so much as touches this woman’s amazing body! My God! Her abs are just gentle enough for her figure. Her thighs are full, tight, and cellulite-free. She doesn’t need to do a thing. This is the kind of body that will make a man blush and a woman run to the vicki secret store. I’m glad that different figures are being represented in the vicki line. Miranda’s frame will more appeal to skinner people, and I hope hers will encourage all the other ladies out there to embrace their curves and stay fit. Wow.

She is soo gorgeous! I agree with what some people said, how she doesn’t really have a “supermodel” body because she’s not straight up and down like giselle or miranda. But still an amazing body and kind of what what I imagine actresses should be looking like these days, not scrawny versions of their former selves.
She has by far the best body of any of the VS models, but unfortunately it does look like she’s thinner here than in the other swimsuit pics that were posted about a month ago. In those, she was a bit fuller, and perfect.

No it won’t because if I’m the “troublemaker” for posting my opinion in the best way possible, having it be attacked, and defending/explaining it so the person understands what I’m saying, OR pointing out when people are unnecessarily mean, then I simply won’t post or read comments anymore.
I try to tolerate other’s opinions except for those that are unnecessarily mean. If others can’t do the same, well, then I don’t want to be a part of it! So you can consider me gone, but I can guarantee fighting will occur whether I post or not.

No, do not use IE and think that will fix the problem. It’s is spyware you are encountering. IE is even worse when it comes to security. You need to have a good firewall (NOT THE ONE PREINSTALLED IN WINDOWS) and a Spyware/Anti-Virus Program with shields for internet browsing. If you have Vista consider upgrading to 7. Windows is pure crap but 7 is better in terms of security.

I just LOVE her! She is so toned, has a nice tan and good curves! She is a model, but remember: a commercial model, not a high fashion model. The last ones are skinnier compared to commercial models (most of the time). I’m extra super duper proud because she’s from my country
