I’m not sniping at her i’m just saying that i’ve heard/read a few guys state that they’re not fascinated by famous women and models and are more attracted to girls they see around them.
At the end of the day Doutzen Krouz and other models weren’t born on magazine covers and would have been among the ordinary women walking down the street before they were scouted.

We don’t have to argue with every negative post being written on her! It’s a forum where everyone can share their opinions. Aside from the fact that the negative comments about Doutzen are not below the belt.
But rather of mainly how she looks lately. It’s not like someone is calling her a liar, sl*t, fameho, hypocrite etc.
Some posters comment about Doutzen’s weight cause they notice a change. See people can’t bad mouth Doutzen about her attitude or personality cause her fans and the other people who happen to know her(which include the haters/critics) know that Doutzen is an honest person!

I don’t know what she looked like before, so I can’t dispute you saying she got heavier, but I can dispute you saying she got fatter. In my experience, when women(or men for that matter) get fatter, they don’t keep muscle definition like Ms. Doutzen is displaying. Maybe HF modelling was destroying her health and she wizened up and got healthy. I think it’s better to be a “cheap panty model”(LOL @ that, have you seen VS prices?) that’s healthy than to be a HF model that’s slowly killing themselves because they fall for the hype that they just have to be skinny to please people like you. Modeling is more than just HF, so no it’s NOT her job to “stay skinny”(obviously, or she wouldn’t be a model anymore since she’s not skinny anymore, regardless of what she’s modeling).

Wow, some people are just plain asinine. She’s not fat, or even puffy(DT, is that you using a new user name?), WTF is y’all’s deal?
That’s right… she isn’t perfect… NO ONE IS! I think she has the BEST face of all the big models (VS angels, etc). But her body is one of the least perfect. She has VERY little body fat… she’s just kind of a thicker body type. She is definitely a mesomorph, a muscular body type. She definitely has no waist and her breasts are nothing to be jealous of. She is really sweet, confident, lovely and her face is simply angelic.
True, she looks thicker than most of her previous work, but I would never call that fat. She just put on weight. She’s probably still in better shape than half of you calling her fat. She isn’t exactly young for a model anyway, people age and their bodies change…
Oh common, there are models who are way older than Doutzen and still look the same as to when they started out!
Doutzen has changed a lot and it’s her choice. Hopefully, she won’t regret that choice and regret the idea of ‘i still could have done more in my career as a model’.

Before when she’s only doing HF and was only known by people who are interested in fashion, you guys wanted her so badly to become a VS angel and do commercial stuffs for her to be on the mainstream. Now that she’s doing all the commercial modelling needed for her to be known or famous, you guys are hating and blaming her!
IMO, Doutzen did the right thing to crossover from HF to commercial modelling for the very reason that it will give her the longevity and security as a model. Besides, Doutzen will no longer worry if she’ll be having a campaign or job for the next season or so like what all the HF models do.
And she’s still the same Doutzen who has a nice personality, so let’s just all be happy for her instead of saying nasty things.

She’s still making millions with that body (for which she works hard!).. So to all the people who said she did no good leaving HF and do more commercial stuff: the fact that there is no pressure to look like a stick but to look healthy AND make lots more money.. I think she made the right choice!
And by the way, considering Lara Stone (who is an American size 6) I think and hope that there is a changing trend in HF models.
I love her face so much. I have different feeling about her body, it is a very interesting shape, but she pulls it off perfectly. Regardless my personal tastes, i could never call her fat or asume i have the right to judge her and be entitled to ask her to lose weight. She is stunning the way she is. Ok, i may not know much about modelling, but in the same time i do know that not everyone can look like a HF model in a healthy way.
She is my body inspiration! When I work-out I think of her body as the goal! She is PERFECTION to me.

Judging from what i’ve seen on the catwalk and in magazines I can see that she has a bigger build than the average model.
But she is still very thin and I don’t see why her body type shouldn’t be small enough to sell high fashion designs. She stands out with her beauty, height and slender toned figure.
I will never understand HF (and i don’t give a stuff if I don’t) because I will never understand how someone like her can be too big for HF. I understand that designers pick models that are slim so that they stand out (it’s a commercial thing I guess) but I don’t understand the need for them to be extremely thin.

Doutzen probably has the same body fat % as “skinny” models or even less. She also is pretty muscular. Can’t have more than 14-15% BF with those abs. I think she looks great! Obviosuly no longer a high fashion model, but who cares? There is a revolving door of women (girls really) to take her place. She is establishing herself for the long haul.
14-15%? no way! that’s low for a woman and unattractive most of the time! at 14-15% a woman would have a chiselled six pack and start looking masculine with pecs instead of boobs, either that or they just start looking really gaunt and grey if they’re small. But she looks healthy and her face is just vibrant. Her body fat is more like 18%-19%, which is still low but healthy for a woman.

I don’t think ‘fat for a model’ is the right phrase to use. She is larger framed than your average model, with most of the others having a frame that can look alarmingly thin yet still be healthy without bones poking out. Doutzen cannot do this without looking (and probably being) ill. Perhaps one could also say she has an unusual body type compared to your average model, as she does not look like a classic ectomorph (long and thin all over with hardly any fat).

I actually work for VS. She was asked to firm up and bulk up some for their FITNESS line. In no way would we use a fat model to showcase our fitness line. She is what we have found to be a woman’s ideal figure.

She is not high fashion, she is too big for that industry(to an extent. She was in Harper’s a few weeks ago). But that doesn’t mean she isn’t gorgeous or healthy or that girls wouldn’t kill for her body.
PS. I think she should stick to her size and weight, because she does not do high fashion too well! The ads she does now, as well as all her VS Campaigns, she’s good at that stuff. So she should keep it as is.

What a fabulous example for teenage girls in our society! Doutzen is definately a more healthy example of a model. This isn’t the kind of body you get by starving yourself- she most likely eats protein-enriched foods that provide energy and keep her lean, as well as working out for a healthy hour a day. Great job- your hard work deserves praise, Doutzen!
