All of these women are stunning. Natural, fresh and timeless. I hope in a few years when I am there age (I just turned 30) I look can look like this. It’s a shame today’s younger women have such an altered standard of beauty. Nadia Auermann said it best, “Women look best when they are natural.”. This is definitely true. These ladies are all examples of that.
i agree with you. ‘beauty’ today is being as skinny as possible, botoxed pouty lips, nose jobbed nose, tanned as poss skin, heavy makeup, and bleached dry hair…pity that a natural beauty is not hot anymore…
Helena Christensen is as beautiful as ever. Shalom Harlow is too. I remember growing up with them all over Vogue and even in Seventeen!

How come many of these type of “without makeup” photo shoots are done in black and white? And just because the shots are natural, doesn’t mean the women are

First of all, they’re black and white and that hides lots of flaws. Secondly, I don’t belive all that non-photoshopping crap, they would still do it even a bit, they just cannot help it. And third, I can see some blush, cancelear and eye shadow out there. Either way, they look good for their age, that’s for sure. I find Cindy, Amber and Shalom very beautiful.
oh i agree with this as well! usually claudia looks scraggly…here she doesnt…they def photoshop to an extent…they didnt cal them ‘unphotoshopped’ …im sorry but the media will never intentionally show us ‘unaltered’ ‘imperfect’ photos…that would give out their lie of how the ‘perfect’ person doesnt exist….therefore the mags, surgery, diet products, vitamins, skin care, make up etc etc wouldnt sell…basically they are trying to say ’supermodels are more perfect than normal ppl. look, here the are without makeup- they are still lush and perfect AND they are down to earth…something u will never be. therefore keep buying these magazines and comparing urself and worsjipping theses ‘gods’ and keep buying the products to look like these ‘gods’ (fine print saying: you will never reach that perfection, because these women dont look like this either…)…i mean, cmon ppl think objectively…of course magazines do these spreads because it makes ppl think ‘o wow look they are showing us teh truth…they are so down to earth…damn those ppl are still perfect, but at least the magazine is on our side and i know for sure these ppl are perfect…*sigh* ill never be that way’ ugh its all a sham ppl =oD

Cindy Crawford look’s amazing, no way should she get her mole removed, it hasn’t hurt her career at all. That’s like saying someone shoul remove their freckle’s.

Wow. There’s no make-up here (where do you see make-up?) but it’s true that black and white is much kinder. Still, with the exception of Tatiana and Kristen, they all look simply beautiful! Especially Amber
I think Nadia looks really old – like in her 50s. And like someone else said, they all look like they have some sort of light make-up on. I find Helena’s beauty mesmerizing. I remember her from 20 years ago – she is amazing.

Cindy Crawford is makeupless my ass. The others are less made up than she is(look at the liner above her eye) however, and they are all less glam than we usually see . Although I do agree lighting helps- they have all held up pretty well.
shalom harlow looks the best in my opinion although she’s also one of the youngest… they all look great!

This is interesting seeing these women given they are my age peers, but seeing them and comparing them to me wow I look better for my age than I thought I did and I am turning 41 in a few weeks – without any surgery:) Sorry but I am just happy to see these women that were my influences nowadays, I didn’t have any idea they were my age or older than me. Definitely inspiration to stay looking healthy and natural and not overdone.
