umm…does she have a really hairy back? she’s has a great body though
I think it’s just where the light has caught her back, I wouldn’t say she had a hairy back really though because everyone has some form of hair covering their body.
I think she has a pretty face and I like her hair. She’s a bit too slim for my liking though. I think she would look nicer with a bit more weight.

Since she’s a little too thin, her body has to protect from cold by itself.

Yes, it’s lanugo. It’s a fuzzy blonde-colored hair that grows on the human body when it lacks enough fat to insulate itself from the cold. A common sign of malnourishment and, in most cases, anorexia.
and I just thought she has it because everyone has hair on their backs (to some extant) and her hair IS blond also how the light is hitting her.
COULD BE (i am not saying she actually is sick)a sign of anorexia. this may also happen with your body when one suffers from it.

I don’t think it’s lanugo (the hair that grows on anorexics), that looks different.
You know, some people, *shocking* are not seal-skin hairless. They have a fine transparent down…everywhere. Heck, in some people, it’s even visible with the naked eye, and no special lighting.
It’s got nothing to do with medicine, more like ethniticity.
yeah, unfortunately i’m one of those people with super light hair all over me. It’s hardly a bother though. It’s not even that weird.
I wouldn’t worry about it – the only place humans don’t grow hair is on the palms of their hands & feet. Everyone else probably has the same amount of hair – you just don’t notice it as much you do your own.
no its a sign of being underweight not just anorexia,
if you have a low body weight your grow it.
there is another sign of anorexia in her video look at the thigh, it looks like its lacking a lot of muscle.

btw, i’m Mediterranean part of Europe, so yeah, not that uncommon to have the very light coloured hair all over our bodies.
Wow she is 5’11! When my brother saw her go down the runway he thought she was cute. He likes the tiny, toned ones – I agree with him, she is a cutie.
I think she’s gorgeous, but I have to say that every time I see one of these movies I just think, “Wow, this girls is really really stupid.”

For those who say she’s too hairy…I mean really. I’d like to see any person who doesn’t completely wax their entire body in that light angle.
Complaining about that is about as ridiculous as nitpicking about Jessica Alba’s nails.
If the only problems we had with ourselves was our nail color and hair that is seen in certain light, I’m sure we’d all be happier individuals.

I actually like this the best from the series. She is a bit too skinny, but she is quite toned, looks closer to Marisa than the other two. And she has a better speech than the rest of them.
I agree. Although she doesn’t have my idea of the best body, what she said seemed well thought out and wise (which I’ve already mentioned is difficult to do when talking about why you like your body). However, I do think saying things such as ‘like’ and ‘totally’ subtracts from that a bit. When I lived in North America every teenager was saying that non-stop and it instantly made them sound dumber than they actually were.
Kind Of Thin. I’d like to see her gain weight. Average face if at that. Not ugly but VS step ya game up.

Yeah really can’t believe. I know she was lookin thin recently,I wouldn’t have thought that would have anything to do with it though. Such a shame, condolences to her fam, especially at this time of year.

This is my least favourite of all these videos. It’s boring. She looks pretty, but there is nothing special about her, and while she is skinny, her shape isn’t that great. I think she has a good body for the typical high fashion runway, but not for Victoria’s Secret, she’s just not on the level.
My exact thoughts! Even with the personal video,nothing unique came across. Besides the hairy pack, there is nothing special about her And Victoria secret models, to some extent, are curvier girls.
Ok this doesn’t have anything to do with this post, but do you guys think Brittany Murphy died from anorexia? They say she died from cardiac arrest but you don’t just have a heart attack at 32. There were some pictures of her about a month ago where she looked sooo skinny…
I really hate to speculate about such things especially since she passed away just today (may she rest in peace), but it could have been a lot of things besides anorexia. Many medical conditions that affect the heart also cause weight loss and loss of appetite. It also could have been drugs. Who knows. I just feel it’s not right to talk about it. The coroners will figure it out.
omg! i read it too and was soo shocked!! i think its cuz of that underweight thing i read off somewhere that she was 117-118lbs and her height is 5’5 so she was close to underweight hmmm probably the reason of the sudden heart attack..so sad!!! I loved her!!

I’m not quite sure how many cm are 5’5…but 117lbs is fine for a small woman, you don’t get a heart attack for being “close to underweight”
I agree with Sharen, I’m 5’5 and 113 lbs and perfectly healthy, with a bmi to prove it.
my specilation was she had heart attack from the complications of anorexia or fast weight los, like anna nicole smith. Versus, can we have her weight and height?

She was 5 ft 2.5 in (159 cm), but I don’t know her weight.
I thought about posting an article about her death, but somehow I think it wouldn’t be right to speculate on the reason she passed away – it’s a very delicate topic.

but about this post, i thought the video was borrrriing! shes obviously really pretty and thin but it was so … blah compared to alessandras and emanuela’s… maybe their accents make them seem more interesting? haha i dont think that’s it.
i just thought that choosing her eyelashes as her favorite body part was pretty lame because she doesnt even seem to like her eyelashes, she says she only likes them with mascara on. if they made her think of an answer on the spot, i will cut her some slack. but if she had time to prepare these answers, i think she should have chosen a body part she actually likes (and has a good reason for liking!)
Yeah, is anyone else annoyed that she is the second model to say, after being asked about her favorite body part, something on her face?

Well these are obviously scripted and I guess they want them to talk about natural body parts (hands, eyes, eyelashes) instead of saying, “I love my tiny waist! I’m sooo skinny isn’t it awesome!”. Which is probably what they actually think. Anyway, I hate these videos, and I hate these models.
Padme, your so right. You have to be relatable to your pontential consumers. most of your cosumers don’t look like VS models, so they probable can’t say what they really think. If we thought, people hate on them now, just imagine if they said the truth. Talk about controversy.They wouldn’t sell any products. It is this reason dove, does not use models, and sticks with ” real people”.

ya, i agree, I fell bored with her. I also feel like she is trying really hard to sound artsy and creative when she talks about her body.

omfg people! that is not luango! im anorexic have been in eating disorder treatment with several people with luango and it does NOT look like that. its just the normal hair blonde hair on her back emphasized by the lighting.
i cant say for her personally, BUT NOT EVERY MODEL HAS AN EATING DISORDER.

I know I wasn’t targeting you specifically (i could tell you were joking), I’m just sick of people always trying to find an excuse to label a model as anorexic. I have no idea whether she is or not, none of us could know for sure. None the less, its kind of demeaning to those of us who have struggled with eating disorders to solely associate it with modeling and a desire for thinness when that’s rarely the sole reason behind it. It almost trivializes it and reinforces the shallow stereotype behind it.
And she has been modeling for quite a while and been that weight for quite a while, so I doubt if it was lanugo it would just be starting.

OMG I love this girl. she looks really teeny-tiny, so innocent and fragile, just like a little fairy. And her blond hair is so beautiful.
To my mind the hair on her back is so striking because of the light…there is nothing to worry about. I dont think she is suffering from an eating disorder.
I think it’s bit scary that I share almost the same measurements (32/24/35) but she is 5’11 and i’m 5’4.
(Ok, she is a victoria’s seacrets model and I’m not & she has a hairy back and I don’t (at least her hairy back is making her some money, because mine doesn’t) but still you get the point..)
There’s been a lot of debate about this girl and whether or not she has an ED. An ED is not limited to being underweight only. There are many women with eating disorders who are underweight, within their BMI range or overwight. An eating disorder is usually defined as obsessing over food, always thinking about food, obsessing over other women and how much skinnier they are, freaking out about calories etc. I don’t know whether this girl has an eating disorder or not. But I don’t believe it’s as easy to spot an ED as many of us think.
Thank you for saying that. I get a lot of exposure to psychiatric patients since I’m trying to become a psychologist, and the hallmark of an eating disorder is not being underweight…it’s the phobia of becoming fat.
I tried pointing that out once on this site and people flipped out. It’s hard to change common misconceptions like that, and that ED come about due to skinny celebrities.

and I also think that the Victoria’s seacrets models are pretty and also quite healthy looking + they all seem to enjoy life and respect their bodies & what it gives to them 
I really doubt that she’s anorexic.. I’m naturally thin and have always had a lot of body hair.. I started plucking my eyebrows when I was about 8 yrs old, and now I wax my arms and back and shave the back of my neck and sideburns lol. I don’t know why she doesn’t wax areas like her arms and back, especially since she’s a model and a VS one at that..
I understand that we all have some amount of hair on bodies…I have a very small amount of hair on my back….but really she has a lot. I’m not saying this to be mean about it, just making an observation.
uh…I like my body too if I was a VS model. This is like a no brainer. What are they trying to do copy the Dove campaign?

“Overall i love the VS body ad campaigns, it gives us the same message as the dove real beauty ads. Although, some in other posts are bitter or question how these seemingly “perfect” models loving their body. Regardless if one looks ” too skinny” or “too fat” according to media or even posters on this site, I think that we should really admire the self- love a woman has for herself. People tend to forget that healthy encompasses a healthy image, in order to fufill mental and phyiscal health concerns. All I am saying is if (for example)if victoria beckham was able to truly love herself and profess that to the world. I would admire her for what she is able to do, maybe I would have a different opinion on her her body or health, BUT I would admire her good self esteem especially under the scrunity of others.self- love usually leads to a more healthier body. sometimes one must love themselves, putting hard to fix and stressfl health concerns a side. For example, queen latifa is overweight, but I couldn’t imagine her any other way.

Her body is nice, but I wouldn’t want it as my own. Facially, she is very boring looking. She isn’t unattractive, but she doesn’t have that ‘wow’ factor either like some of the other VS models- I kind of just look at her and think “okay, good, NEXT!”
Oh and I kind of admire the fact she doesn’t wax her hair- she is hairy yes, but having hair doesn’t make someone ugly or disgusting (and no, I’m not a hairy person myself!)
Nothing interesting, not really curvy or super skinny. Not GORGEOUS either. Just nothing wows me, kinda hard for me to like her in the video as well. Something about her voice rubbed me the wrong way.
