Jennifer Love Hewitt

Jennifer Love Hewitt Shows Her Bikini Body in Shape Magazine

From Shape:

Jennifer Love Hewitt looks strong and confident on the cover of the March issue of Shape magazine, donning an electric pink and white bikini and her adorable girl-next-door smile. Some might shy away from baring their bodies in front of millions, but the 34-year-old actress isn’t phased, especially after taking on the racy role as a massage therapist on Lifetime’s The Client List, which requires her to strut her stuff on national TV every week.

While Jennifer looks and feels better than ever, it hasn’t always been an easy road. In 2007 she was blasted by the media after some not-so-flattering photos surfaced of the newly engaged Texas native vacationing in Hawaii. Many women may have wanted to avoid the spotlight after undergoing the widely publicized scrutiny, but Hewitt took the opportunity to speak out and embrace her body in a whole new way. A size 2 at the time, she defended her physique in an interview with PEOPLE magazine. In 2009, she flaunted her body in an itsy-bitsy white bikini on the October SHAPE issue—and look at her now on our March cover!

So where does she derive her motivation and confidence? Being a role model inspires her to look her best, she says. She’ll read tweets from fans and finds encouragement knowing that she’s being looked up to.

“I know they’re counting on me to feel powerful,” she says in the March issue.

Taking care of herself is not just about feeling great and looking dynamite in a swimsuit. A healthy life has much more meaning to the actress after her mother, Patricia, passed away last June. Completely devastated, Hewitt wanted to crawl into a hole, but her friends urged her to get active. And she did.

“When life hits you so hard—whether someone you care for dies or your lover leaves you—working out can save your life. It certainly saved mine.”

Be sure to pick up a copy of our March issue to see how the star incorporates a healthy lifestyle into her sometimes 16-hour days on set! She also shares her five favorite body-sculpting moves, courtesy of Buti, a class created by L.A.-based pro Bizzie Gold that combines yoga, dance, and plyometrics.

How do you like Jennifer’s (photoshopped?) bikini body? And how about her lighter haircolor?

Really? That’s the most flattering pic they could get for the cover?

I subscribe to Shape so I’m excited to read more..

    • HB

Since you subscribe, do you think you could find out who makes that swimsuit?? It’s so cute!

      • Catherine

        It’s a Charlie by Matthew Zink (
And it’s apparently $277! That’s a lot of money for not a lot of bikini!
        Hope this helps you!

  • Aafje

    She looks good!

  • Pixie

I luv her!! I’m addicted to The Client List, such a good show! She looks great here, I like her with darker hair better though.

    • artemis

lol, i thought that was a movie, not a tv show

      • Junior

It premiered as a lifetime show last year. Going into its 2nd season in a month.

  • Isabel

Skinny or fat, she’s got a good shape and although I’m a fan of the skinny curvy look, I’ve never thought of her as less attractive when she had more meat on her bones.

  • MissMarilyn

Wow!! Either she lost a ton of weight since I last saw her or they photoshopped her a TON. either way, she looks good.

    • Jay

yeah, i think it’s a little bit of both. her face is much prettier than this cover though!

      • artemis

they made her look like a witch.
her chin is her biggest flaw

  • anonymous

Clearly photoshopped and airburshed… You can tell just by looking at her “skin…” However she is generally a beautiful woman.

  • Ana

She’ll always be unattractive IMO. She looks so much older than her age. And tbh I don’t like her “pear” shaped body.

  • Candy

Is it just me, or does that fake photoshop skin look SO unattractive. Whatever it really looks like is probably better.

    • Powwow

Nah its not just you, I agree

  • ohhhhhhyeahhhh

Supposedly Shape doesnt photoshop people to make them look thinner. But they maybe photoshop skin to make it look better?

  • neutra

In close ups I think she looks really awful, especially for her age.

I used to think she was beautiful when she was on Party of Five…. definitely not anymore. She also has an atrocious sense of style.

    • Debbs

I thought she was cute back then but Neve was it for me 🙂

  • Winnie

i have a soft spot for J. Love, i loved her in so many 90s movies.her body in ‘Heartbreakers’ was perfection to me. but i haven’t seen her look that thin in years…my guess is photoshop.

  • Anastasia.

She WISHES that was her body. It looks like they shaved ten inches off her hips.

  • Adriana

I liked her body in I know what you did last summer-she had a more proportioned body which is what i find ideal. She hasn’t aged well especially in the face. Alessandra sAmbrosio has a simlar shaped face but her jar is wider which stops her face from getting to hollow. Meh, Jen still has decent cheek bones which I find attractive though & she has a nice chest & I have always loved her hair, the length, colour, styling

    • Adriana

Oops, I didn’t see that she died her hair because I was viewing SvC on my mobile. I liked her previous hair colour better. I just prefer the natural look, however there are a few people that do look better with dyed hair like Debra Messing. Her natural hair colour is brown but she is a gorgeous red head. It goes so well with her complexion.

  • Tea

I have to agree with what others have said in that she has not aged well facially. Maybe it’s more emphasised because she has quite a long, narrow face. I think she looks best with bangs, they shorten her face or something. But re the photoshopping- she might not be that photoshopped, I mean her legs are her problem area and they’re not really in the pic.

  • JaneParker

She looks much better than this facially, and that is NOT her body. She’s a perfect pear, one of the most beautiful examples of that shape, why did they have to change her whole body like that? Man, I’m really starting to hate this photoshop overload.

  • Mara

Can’t comment on her looks as I can’t tell what she actually looks like based on the ridiculously shopped cover. Getting really tired of this.
Thank you stupid f-ing magazines for making everyone look like the newest Mattel creation.

  • anushka

I kindof have always liked her body even in Candids. Definetly not the ideal, But ive always liked it. I think if shed dress better she would look absolutely stunning.

  • a

can we see that super ugly fat pic referenced to in the post?

  • D

I actually think she is very pretty and has a nice body – but I dont understand how she could be on the cover of shape, isnt it a fitness magazine? That being said, this photo is also extremely photoshopped and she is working them angles… she is a very obvious pear shape but she is twisting her hips which makes her look less-so… I like her pear shape so I dont see why. Plus her face looks odd here and normally I find her attractive. Oh and brunette is way better for her.

    • serena

If kate upton can be featured in “sports illustrated” I see no reason why JLH can’t be in “shape” lol

  • serena

She has a cute petite figure, I like the bikini too.

  • Jacky Daniels

she is stil blah. but she was pretty back in the days..

  • Hazal

She’s very pretty but I prefer her with darker hair. Chocolate brown looks perfect on her.

    • Bellerina

I agree! I think she looks better than she has in years body wise but the blonde doesn’t really do it for me.

  • Lauren

Her face looks really old to me

  • annemarie

That picture looks to be very photoshopped, and I think Jennifer is beautiful and doesn’t need that. She has a great shape even when she gains weight(unless she wears those terrible shapeless long dresses).

I don’t like her hair colour though. She looks best as a brunette or redhead(like in “Heartbreakers” in that part in the beginning where she wore a wig).

  • CK

agree with others bout the hair – the color and the haircut aren’t flattering. in terms of body though it can be angles and mostly v.heavy photoshop (mags are not really scared bout getting flack for photoshopping gals into smth obviously unrealistic, e.g. Self mag+kelly clarkson) there still might be a chance of her really getting in this kind of only concern is she takes motivation in other people looking up to her, i mean if it just HELPS her to get motivated – ok but if its the main motivator then i say the weight loss is not for long, the motivation and the need for anything in life must come from within otherwise you’re not gonna be able to really commit to smth for life and healthy and active lifestyle IS a lifelong commitment.

  • lc

    Not a fan.

  • Anna.V
    • Kay

Her boobs look higher on the cover but that could be because the top is more supportive. On the cover her thighs are smaller…I have trouble believing that could be because the pose and camera angle are different. In the film she does have a bit of a cut stomach…and she is a pear/almost hourglass, so I can believe her stomach looks similar to the cover (minus the poreless skin smoothing) in real life. Her major cellulite areas–her butt and the back of her upper legs–are hidden so I think ehr body might actually be as rocking as it appears on that cover and in that still. Good for her!

  • jemima

Definitely photoshopped and I like her hair darker but I think she looks good.

  • Snip

I think her face AND body both look beautiful. I love her.

  • Junior

    Too much photoshop alert!

  • Doe

I saw video of the shoot on E!, and this picture is a very accurate portrayal of what she looked like, at least size/body wise. There is obviously going to be some airbrushing, but she does look very much like that

  • amy

She’s always had big hips. Now she has thighs and hips…it was bound to happen with age….
Here is a pic of her back when she dated john mayer..she was super thin but her hips were wide

  • Nan
