Unexpected bikini delight this weekend!
Jessica Alba was spotted while wearing this little number while vacationing in Malibu with her hubby. And you can totally see her recent weight loss – she’s definitely thin, but she also seems toned and evenly proportioned.
Obvious question for you all: How do you like Jessica’s current bikini figure? Is she too thin or just perfect?

Jessica Alba Diet Secrets
One source reports Jessica Alba has been on a diet since the age of 12. Jessica said, “Everyone in my family is heavily overweight. I wanted to be healthier, so I started cooking for myself when I was 12 years old. When I eat breakfast, I’ll have an egg-white omelette and fruit, or cottage cheese and a peach. For lunch, I’ll have a salad. Dinner is usually vegetables and chicken or fish. During the day I’ll have some dried fruit, or I’ll have a chocolate or strawberry frozen yogurt. I don’t really eat desserts or bread.”
Regarding her workout routine, Jessica said, “I try to work out every day for 45 minutes to an hour. I start out on the treadmills or elliptical machine for 10 to 15 minutes to get my heart rate up to 180 beats per minute. Then I do 50 lunges and crunches. Next I get back on the machine for another 10 minutes. Then I work on shoulders, biceps and triceps. I do that nonstop for four sets. When I work out, I have energy and feel good about myself.”
Yeah that’s discipline, that is what it takes to be extremely fit. As a fitness enthusiast I admire her discipline, and one thing is for sure I love a good brutal workout.
I think Jess takes it a bit beyond discipline. At one point in her career, she looked awesome, not too thin or anything. Now, she has gone too far, IMO, in keeping herself “fit”.
Well then you just personally don’t find her body how it is now attractive – which is completely fine. But me, along with 90% of the girls on here thing her body is drop dead amazing, and Jessica especially knows her body is amazing, and she works damn hard for it. I respect her hard work.
I hate to say it Ariel, but I’m a bit saddened that so many girls would look up to someone like Jessica because she works so hard to keep herself so thin when she shouldn’t be that thin
Why shouldn’t she? I’m sorry I must have missed the law where you aren’t allowed to work for a body you want, or too be “too thin”. I’m terribly sorry but I don’t recall reading about that law. And by the way, Jessica is all muscle, there isn’t an ounce of fat on this girl, you can guarantee she will live a long and healthy life, and not to mention the ultimate fantasy for every guy I know.

Ummm, where did I give the impression that I think it is criminal of her to be thin? And where did I give the impression that it’s wrong to work for the body you want? Nothing wrong with working for your body, in general. BUT, I DO think it is wrong if that body happens to be an unhealthy body, whether it is to be as big as you possibly can or to be as thin as you possibly can.

I’m sorry, but if you didn’t get my point, just say so, don’t be overly dramatic about it. It is simply this: Jessica is thin. Lots of girls admire her for that(as you pointed out) and want to be that, and it is sad because they think that being thin is the desirable goal they should be striving for, and their health be damned.

Which is wrong, women should have some fat on them for their health. I don’t admire that, and can’t understand why it is admirable to make yourself this way.

Not necessarily, studies have shown that underweight/low body fat is not good and does not guarantee a long and healthy life. If she is keeping herself lower weight/body fat % than she should be, that is NOT healthy.

I can see why they would see her as sexually attractive, won’t dispute that(she is sexy, just too thin), after all that is how she puts herself out there with the roles and photo shoots she does, but I highly doubt that she is every guys ultimate fantasy because every guy is different.

Your opinion she is hot, I feel differently. Yea, she’s sexy, but her thinness really detracts from it, and she could be one a hell of a hot momma if she just let herself be more natural(as in, not trying to be skinnier than she should be). I’m surprised that a self proclaimed “fitness enthusiast” would feel that it is A-OK to go against your natural body and force it to be something it’s not meant to be, and thinking that low body fat % is good for women to have.
All I am saying, and it is very simple to understand, is that skinniness just for the sake of skinniness because it is somehow “hot” to be that way, is the wrong ideal to strive for, ESPECIALLY if it is unhealthy to do such, and not too many people are naturally skinny and can be that way with out going to extremes. And it is saddening that so many girls are willing to put their health at risk just for the sake of “beauty ideal” that, IMO, isn’t even all that beautiful or ideal.

Because she puts herself out there as a sex symbol, so of course she’s going to be on the top more than a woman that is sexier and a more healthy size but is more “modest” in how she presents herself. I don’t pay attention to what mags are trying to sell to me as “hot”. I pay attention to what real people say is hot, and I know more people that like a fuller figure than Jessica’s than I know that prefer Jessica’s figure.

I think most of us girls want what we just can’t have – I’m an athletic body type with broad shoulders, little waist and narrow hips. I will never have a gap between my thighs, because my hips are so narrow, I’d have to be extremely underweight to have a gap between my thighs..
I hate the fact that I have no waist and sometimes I feel like I look like a man with my broad shoulders – other people envy me because they would love to have my small ass and flat stomach. And they say I look toned although I don’t do sports.

I think she is 5′6” and around 105 lbs. I’m almost 100% sure she is around this number, as I am a medical nurse working in a highschool and we measure and weight the girls every year and I’ve seen many girls looks like Jessica here who all weigh around 100-110 lbs.
It worries me a bit that so many people think she looks perfect, because she is clearly underweight (with a BMI lower than 18) and it shows (from her family, history, fluctuations, pregnancy) that she is not naturally THIS thin.
Damn, guess I need to lose 20lbs.

yes she’s thin but not overly thin to the point you see her bones. plus jessica has always been skinny throughout her career so i don’t see how she can be underweight.
Just because she’s always been slim doesn’t mean she isn’t underweight right now. She has been fuller than she is now, hence people thinking she’s underweight.

Her breakout role was in Dark Angel, was it not? And if I remember correctly she has said that she had an eating problem during that time. So to be honest, I’m sure she’s been skinny for some time but in no way does this suggest that she is naturally thin and/or particularly healthy.

I really hope that Jessica’s daughter doesn’t grow up developing the same eating habits and body issues as her mom….

That’s strange. I’ve heard of hips getting wider, but none of that. The only weird thing I’ve heard of is from my East Asian aunts: all of them got bigger feet after having each baby!

Agreed…to me, she doesn’t have the perfect body. It’s obvious that she’s worked really hard to get her body back and I always admire that in any mom because I’ve had to do that myself, but it’s not my idea of a perfect body. To women and girls who strive to be as thin as possible, she is perfect. I tend to like a slightly curvier body. She’s lost some of her curves. And those women you mentioned: Scarlett, Salma and Monica, they are my idea of a perfect body. Well, maybe not perfect, but pretty damn close!

I personally think Jessica would never look like those ladies, b/c her frame is clearly very small. And that’s why myself, and probably others as well, think she looks so nice: she seems to pull off her frame perfectly. Her bones are not showing that much, remember she’s moving, so ribs or hip bones are not a tragedy. I know b/c i have a very small upper body, and my ribs, spine, hip bones show more than hers. It is just how i am built, that doesn’t make me a bad role model. Sure, i have a very interesting body type, but i must work with it. The same with Jessica. She may be more strict with herself, but she is a star afterall, they all do this. She was always small, her bones are small, there is nothing she could do about that, except make herself look as good as possible. I don’t know if this weight is healthy for her, but i do think it looks nice. However, i also like Scarlet – and not the recent very skinny version of her – b/c just like Jessica she is working very well with her body type and her frame. I can see stretch marks along the side of her butt in the last pic. Makes me feel better about my stretch marks…knowing that Jessica Alba has them too! lol…But anyway, I think her body looks great, but she could stand to gain a few more pounds. I think she’s a bit too bony…her ribs and hip bones are sticking out. But it is truly amazing that she looks this thin just after having a baby!
I agree that she prob weighs 115lb..i have similar stats (ie height and measurements) to her when i’m that weight..and a similar body type.

I really liked her body in 2007 when it was a bit muscular and extremely toned and a little curvy. Now her body is just plain skinny and she’s lost her boobs. Not my favourite bikini body anymore…
I wish I could be that strict with myself. But I love food too much and I hate sports too much to look like that.
I mean I’m definitely normal sized (125lbs and 5′5”) and don’t need to lose weight, but I’d like to be thinner nevertheless. I mean I often start to diet and quit after three days because my boyfriend eats pizza besides me and I can’t stand not eating some as well. And I don’t even try to do sports anymore, because I feel like my body gets worse when I stop doing it. I used to be at the gym every day for two months and 1st I didn’t lose weight though I ate less, 2nd I became absolutely paranoid when I ate something like pasta and had to run to the gym to work it off, 3rd my arms became bigger than before I started doing sports when I stopped lifting dumbbells.
the worst thing is that I can eat whatever I want and don’t gain weight – but that I can also diet and work out like a lunatic for weeks or months and I don’t lose more than 4lbs. that’s frustrating!!
When you don’t work out, and then start all of a sudden, lbs won’t disappear. That’s stupid to assume. B/c working out means burning fat and building muscle. Muscle ways more than fat, that’s a fact. So sure, you may be the same on the scale, but you would look different. And if you’re afraid not to build too much muscle, forget about weight lifting and so on. Do some aerobics, some step, even pilates. It’s sad to hear healthy ppl who hate sports. You will not remain healthy without sports, and you don’t need to be crazy with it. Running also helps alot, so do situps, stuff you can do at home. You don’t need to work out an hour daily, many ppl really do NOT have the time for it, but there is a middle way; everyone can find his or her own rhytm quite easily, if you only have some will and DO NOT expect miracles.
Everything you said is right, but how can it be that I don’t gain any weight if I don’t do sports and eat whatever I want (ok I have to admit that I crave fruit and vegetables most of the time, but I also eat cereals with whole milk very often, bread with butter on it, pasta or pizza and I’m addicted to abnormally huge bowls of popcorn when I watch TV) — and on the other hand I just cannot achieve my weight goal of 114lbs even if I just eat two apples, one joghurt, one salad and a slice of bread without butter a day AND do sports (I did 1000 sit-ups a day and I’m not joking, 1 hour on the elliptical machine, 50 lunges and weight lifting because I don’t have arm definition naturally and I long to achieve some – actually they just don’t get slim, I guess I have to accept my athletic body type)…
How can that be – I strictly followed this regimen for 2 months and nothing happened except from the fact that I got depressed and paranoid about sports.. I really couldn’t eat carbs without doing sports afterwards or I would be extremely depressed..
I am a certified personal trainer and I can assure you that you just had a negative experience because you didnt go at it the right way. The reason you weren’t losing weight is because you were on a very restrictive diet with an added activity level. Your body probably held on to every ounce of food you ate because when you dont fuel it appropriately, your metabolism slows down. If you eat healthy small balanced meals every 3 hours ( including good carbs, protein and healthy fats)to keep your metabolism up while including strength training and cardio, you will get results. You also need rest days from strength training because your muscles build at rest so it would be counterproductive to do 1000 sit ups a day especially that even if you do tons of abs exercises, the definition wont show unless you reduce your body fat percentage. Which brings me to my next point, the number on the scale is not that important, its more about your body fat percentage so you shouldnt obsess over a number just strive to be healthy in the long run and your clothes will fit better and you will feel better too ! Sorry about the long reply I just feel so passionate about fitness and i am sad when i read about misconceptions like that because for me it made me discover a whole new world and completely changed my body too, without beeing depressed or feeling deprived. I actually look very feminine and lift very heavy weights too, so girls dont be afraid to pump iron ! You will not get bulky because you do not have enough testosterone for that. Hope you give it another try !

She is toned but I don’t think she’s got a nice conformation,it looks more with a man’s body than with a woman’s body.Her legs aren’t straight and her thigh is thiner than the part of the legs from her knee down,wich is too thick…and it should be the way round.She has no hips..she is straight,her waist is like a stick and her butt is too big for her skinny body.Her sholders are too big,but muscular people have this conformation,which I don’t find feminine at all.
