Jessica Simpson Talks Legs, Heels and Exercise

My mom has great legs – they are hereditary. I think when my mom had me I came out wearing high heels – I even go to the beach in them! And I walk around my house in them, so that helps keep my legs in shape. Curves are empowering – you can’t strut your stuff when you are skinny! says Jessica.
As for exercise, she added:
‘I do a lot of Pilates. I work with 5lb to 10lb weights to get toned. I don’t want to be beefy. If I work my legs too hard I end up looking like a wrestler! ‘I didn’t have a bad body before, it just needed a bit of toning.’

wow she totally said the best thing saying she wasn’t fat because she wasn’t! but the beefing up thing is a lie. this might not be alot or this could be alot but i totally bench press like 100 lbs and leg press 435 and well my legs need works but arms are noodles i have no arm fat or bulky ness at all!
that was dumb of her to say that you can’t strut your stuff when you’re skinny because you can. as long you’re healthy anybody can strut what they working with. i disagree with that.
I concur. Also just makes her sound as if she is a little bit bitter, when really she shouldn’t be. She makes her body type work for her, just the same as ’skinny’ women make their body type work for them.
I have heard that women simply can’t end up looking like men from working out. Then I see those female body builders. So is it that you can end up getting overly muscular, or do these female body builders take something to help them bulk up?
I’m not an expert, but from my knowledge, women CAN end up looking really bulky if they work out a lot, but to look like ‘a man’, you need to work out A LOT more they do to ‘achieve’ the same bulkiness, because we don’t have nearly as much testosterone (which helps build muscle) in our bodies.
So basically, to look really bulky, you need to work out tons more than a bulky man, who probably already works out a hell of a lot. So chances are, you WON’T ever end up looking like a man.
I’m sure some female bodybuilders achieved the look naturally, but a lot take hormones to help.
yes. but i hate when women think they have to only lift like 5 lbs because if they lift a ten lbs weight they’ll turn into a man. I squat 200 lbs which totally isn’t a lot compared to some girls I’ve seen who can bench like 200 lbs and squat 275 ( and are skinnier than me!). But the point I want to make is you won’t turn into a man by lifting weights unless your a body builder like you said. We totally studied this in my EXSS class in college.
Thanks for clearing things up for me, Elizabeth and bologna. I thought it was something like that, but since I am no expert I thought I should ask for some advice.
As usual, she looks fantastic.
