OK! Magazine: Jessica Simpson’s Revenge Diet

In the wake of her heartbreaking split from Tony Romo on the eve of her 29th birthday earlier this month, Jessica Simpson has decided that the way to get the sweetest revenge on her former sweetheart is to sweat off some pounds at the gym.
“Right after Tony ended things, Jessica said, ‘I want my old body back,’” a friend of the singer reveals in the new issue of OK!. “She went into her kitchen, got a trash bag and started to clear it out.”
And getting rid of the bad food isn’t the only way she’s slimming down. Jessica has been spotted several times in the last two weeks heading to celeb trainer Harley Pasternak’s West Hollywood fitness center.
“Jess is serious about getting her body back into fighting shape,” her pal reveals to OK!. “Working out is helping to give her focus and clear her head. It’s better than sitting around moping or throwing pity parties with ice cream sundaes.”
And the results are already starting to show — Jessica, whose weight fluctuations have often been the subject of water-cooler discussion, dropped 10 pounds in just the first 10 days of working out!
“She doesn’t want to give anyone more reason to not take her seriously,” explains the pal. “She’s tired of weight being a talking point.”

she does look slimmer, and seems to be doing all the right things. however, 10 pounds in 10 days is total bs, that’s the speed of either a maniac anorexic, resulting to a worn out look due to dehydration etc, or a contester in the biggest loser who works out 60 % of the day. well maybe some loose weight quickly, but really now, 7lbs in a week would be hard to an already slim person like Jessica. Unless she’s on a clence. 1-3 lbs a week wouldbe normal to her, and i think (and hope) that’s how she has been doing it.
Yea, it sounds like she didn’t eat or drink for those ten days.
It`s good she`s thinkin` positive and it`s true her body looks better , but 10lbs in 10 days ( ??? ) it`s a little ( more ) drastic ! She should`ve been patient and lose weight in a slower ,but HEALTHIER way. For her own sake …
10lb in 10 days, must be mostly fluid loss. To lose 10lb in body fat she would need to be eating nothing and exercising like crazy..and with all that exercise she would prob gain some weight in muscle…..so I bet 5lb of her loss is just water.
WOW! Thats a great way to get in shape (channeling youranger towards your ex). But I’m not sure its healthy…10 pounds in 10 DAYS!?!?!! But anyways go jessica no matter how much she weighs i always think she looks good.

shes a pretty girl.. If I were her Id go to the gym consistently, eat healthy consistently and go back to school.. beautiful, but seriously dumber than a box of rocks.
why does her face look so puffy???? somethings not adding up with this story because i dont think i’ve ever seen her face get puffy even when she was at a heavier weight

when i started to loose pounds i lost 10 lbs in the first week and the weeks after that 2 to 4 lbs a week

It’s not healthy to lose that much weight in such a short period of time. However, I agree with those who say she lost more water than body fat. Besides, I think there is no need to rush, she’s beautiful both curvy and thin.
But she shouldn’t forget the fact that she’s a role model for young girls and such example of weight loss is not good for them by no means.
I noticed a while ago she had lost weight.. I feel a bit sorry for her though, i think she’s gorgeous no matter what size.
First off JS is a serial dieter bc no one sees her as a singer byt a sex object also that pic is old if I remember correctly from when she was training for that military movie

I think 10lbs in 10 days is totally feasible, depending on how (if?) she was overweight to start with. However after the next 10 days it will probably be more like a 3lb loss
The problem with losing weight so quickly is you become used to it and expect it, so the next time she jumps on the scales and hasn’t lot anywhere near that amount she will be disapponited and disheartened.
I agree. I have been on a diet for about two months now, and In the beginning I lost alot more per week than i am doing now. Anyway, go Daisy Duke, I would love for her to get her daisy body back.
10 lbs in ten days ? I guess they have to sell the issue somehow, imagine those pour navie people running of to get their copy…Anyways I think it’s good for her, nothing like running and major cleaning when you brake up

if you have the weight to lose then it comes off easy if you really work at it and i’m sure she is.
excercise at least an hour a day but you have to pretty much eat under 1000 calories a day.
ugh the media suck! c’mon ppl!!! you cant lose 10lbs of fat in 10 days! and u cant even lose that much water retention etc unless your really overweight (in 10days). also, lets think critically and logically about this. do you really think a ‘friend’ who is close enough to jess to have her throw out junk and complain about her weight would sell that to the media? I mean, it would either have to be a pretty long term friend to be in her house with her wingeing about weight and breakups! you dont just do that with anyone! especially if your famous! and if its a longe term friend she would have done this before so chances are she wouldnt be in that position with jess! seriously. its just the media making up crap again ‘an insider said’ ‘a close friend said’ is always code for ‘we’re going to pretend that somebody said…’ i wouldnt be surprised if she does lose the weight. she is a yo yoer. 10 lbs in 10 days equals something like losing (either through diet or exercise) 3500 calories per DAY, which equals to 35000 calories per week. highly unlikely! This article is also making it seem as though jessica just started working out after she broke up with her boyfriend, but I’m pretty sure we’ve seen pictures of her going to the gym while she was still with him. I’d say she has been on this process for a couple months now, probably losing a healthy pound or two a week and concentrating on toning up. It’s not like she was ever that big.. she was just the victim of a bad stylist and vicious public. either way she looks great, and I hope the magazine doesn’t suggest any dangerous ways of losing weight (although I’m sure they’ll reprint the standard diet that is found in all these magazines!)
I suffered from food poisoning last summer, and i lost about 10 lbs in just a few days, plus considering i was quite slim to begin with. I scared myself whent i went showering, my bones were poking out like crazy. So it is possible. Is it ok? NO! And i’m so sick with celebrities promoting this kind of nonsence like it’s smth healthy and normal to do. Weight loss process should be slow, if you want it to last and to truly make a difference. Otherwise, you just lose water and muscle, and all the fat sticks to your body, b/c the body is protecting itself against what your putting it through.

this is surely promoting the wrong image here? i mean, a daramatic weight loss like that is unhealthy, and i fear people are gonna read this and think its a good thing…when actually its not!

I think it’s sad that she want’s a body which she said she hated having. She always said that when she had her thinner body, she didn’t live normally, because she was constantly in the gym and on a diet. So I wouldn’t want her to go back to a body she wasn’t comfortable with and which made her somewhat unhappy, because it wasn’t her natural body shape.
And I doubt she want’s her old body back. She want’s it back because she think that it will bring her back on the music scene.
well, as this news is coming from OK magazine i doubt it’s true. when i go jogging for a week or so and cut the sweets, i look a cpl of pounds lighter (not 10 pounds, but definitly more toned AND slimmer) too.

this is total BS..you can tell her legs are photoshopped..just look at the lighting on the leg she has raised!!…also, we all know that she’s been loosing weight slowly since those pics of her came out in that horrible outfit (high wasited jeans)…so now that she’s been dumped and is working out more…they’ll say she lost all this weight in a short period of time but meanwhile she’s been doing it for a while now…what losers these magazines are…and the fact that they think they can fool the readers is even more pathetic….
It IS possible to lose 10 pounds of body fat in 10 days…..if you´re 250 pounds, hardly eat and work out like crazy.

10 lbs in 10 days is possible!! Healthy, no, but possible. I had my wisdom’s out two weeks ago. I ate a large milkshake every afternoon (with skim milk and no sugar added light ice cream) and a generous serving of mashed potatoes for dinner every night with some applesauce and yogurt for occasional snacks. It’s all I could eat for about 7 days. I lost about 5 lbs. Plus, I only weighed 114 lbs before. And that was without moving from the couch. SO, if she ate drastically less than she was, and working out vigorously, it def could happen. I doubt she will be able to keep this off, but we’ll see.
