Katy Perry stays fit by embracing her inner schoolgirl. “I hate working out, but I love jumping rope,” says the “Waking Up in Vegas” singer. “There’s a rhythm. It’s like dancing.” And she’s no schoolyard novice. “I can double jump; I can cross. I can do all of it. I look like Rocky when I jump..Besides being fun, a 130-lb. woman jumping rope at a fast pace can burn more than 350 calories!
To stay in shape while touring with country star George Strait this summer, Julianne Hough and her ever-present pup Lexi were workout buddies. “We go up and down the stairs at the amphitheater and run across the lawn,” the singer said. She and Lexi also enlisted the help of her band, “”playing wiffle ball and ultimate Frisbee” – fun and a great workout!
Jessica Simpson keeps her glutes Daisy Duke-worthy by doing a booty dance! The singer recently posted on Twitter that trainer Mike Alexander (who sculpted her silhouette for 2005′s The Dukes of Hazzard) “yells at me ‘get lower like you’re in the club.’” Her comical response? “I don’t squat in a club unless I’m peeing!”
To squeeze exercise into her packed schedule, Michelle Obama rises at 5:30 a.m. and exercises “pretty religiously” with husband Barack Obama in the White House’s private gym, she tells PEOPLE. But the first lady – who’s earned accolades for her ultra-toned arms – says she’s not quite as diligent as the President. “I can skip a workout. He really can’t,” she says with a laugh.
Forget chocolate! Mariah Carey‘s go-to snack food is a healthy serving of artichokes! The vegetable is high in fiber – averaging 9 grams per cup! – meaning it can leave you feeling more full and less likely to snack. Instead of counting reps, Beyoncé has a more musical approach to her workouts. “I’ll put on a song that I really like and do [biceps curls with] 5-lb. weights the whole song,” the singer told Self magazine. Another upper-body trick? She’ll box for the length of one track using 3-lb. weights.
Countess LuAnn de Lesseps credits her glowing complexion to turning her beauty routine upside down. “I do a yoga headstand every morning. I don’t do Botox. Headstands are great for getting the circulation going and giving tone to your muscles in the face,” says the Real Housewives of New York City star and Ashtanga yoga devotee.
Forget eggs! Cameron Diaz loads up on garlicky chicken in the morning before heading out to surf. “It’s the best breakfast in the world,” the actress has said of her protein-rich way to start her day.

Try it! I do my entire workout in Beyonce’s fashion…with music and doing it to the music. It makes it a lot more fun because it’s more like dancing than working out.

Burn 500 calories a day while eating at maintainance = 1 pound loss per day. To burn 500 jumping rope, it’d be like 40mins according to a website I visited.
Or 40 + 500 cal deficit by food = 1000cal, 2 pounds a week.
It’s not safe to lose more than 1% of your body weight a week.

P.S Is that regular jump-roping or intense jump-roping?
I guess jumping rope can be intense if done for 10 minutes, but I wouldn’t go overboard with other exercise, just moderate weight lifting to even things out. And it does depend on calorie intake.

Megan Fox’s and LuAnn de Lesseps’ fitness tricks are pretty stupid and misinformed. I liked reading everyone else’s comments though.

Nah, you can tell they’re real. If they were done, they’d be more lifted than that. They have a natural (but not dramatic) sag to them.
Oh , well with todays methods they don’t really look fake anymore at all.You don’t have to get implants , they often inject either real body fat or some synthetic substance into the breast. But I would agree Katy’s are real – she always has them.
In the end of the vid (Cupid’s chokehold) where they sit on the bench, she has a white strapless top on, i think her boobs look pretty much the same in it.. I think they’re real too. But i don’t agree with her training advice; i jump rope from time to time too, and it’s effective, but i consider it annoying more than fun, at least if i carry on for more than about 5-10 minutes.
Jumping Rope isn’t really an ‘outrageous’ fitness trick. I sometimes to interval jump-roping for 15 minutes when I am not in the mood to hit the track for HIIT. Torches fat, raises the metabolism, gets you blitzed – works like a charm.
I’m totally buying one today!
It’s hard but it works! Have fun! Go for 30 seconds hard, 10 seconds rest for 15 minutes, you will torch soo much body-fat, and your metabolism will thank you!

I think Cameron Diaz reverses her meals, leaving Breakfast for Dinner..
It’s a great method if you have the time, starting the day with some Egg & Steak or Brownies and then a Sandwich/Salad and Fruit + Yoghurt or Coffee for Dinner. It leaves you fuller, and less likely to gain weight.
I like Beyonce’s workout – it’s fun and wouldn’t seem like a chore. And uck Cameron’s breakfast. As healthy as it may seem, I would not be able to eat chicken first thing in the morning!
