Jordin Sparks in a Casual Outfit
Here’s long-time-no-see Jordin Sparks out, around and about in Los Angeles the other day.
I’ve been informed / tipped by one of you that the American Idol starlet has gained a few lbs. recently – I’m not sure, cause I’ve always seen her in dresses – like in THIS one or in THAT one.
Jordin has always been a thicker girl and she seems comfortable at her weight, so what do you say?

i think she’s beautiful. i love how comfortable she is with herself– great role model to young women!! happiness does not come from being thin– i think Jordin realizes this and portrays great confidence.
She is really pretty (gorgeous smile) and I’m glad she hasn’t lost a ton of weight since American Idol. There probably has been that kind of pressure on her, so good on her for not succumbing to it. That said, I don’t like those pants at all!

I think she looks like a fat cow though I like her voice and songs…I would only drink water if I looked like that.
wow, you are ridiculous. she’s probably at the upper end of a healthy bmi for her height, maybe a little over. she isn’t a supermodel, but she certainly is a beautiful girl. losing a few pounds wouldn’t hurt her, as long as she did it in a healthy way–not through extreme, STUPID measures like you mentioned.

your comment doesn’t warrant a response. however, i think its important to understand that you probably just said what you did to get a reaction. no one says “she looks like a fat cow” if they’re not trying to get a reaction.
which, in reality, is sadder than being overweight because it shows that you are insecure with yourself and attempt to draw attention from anywhere.
obviously it did work, the comment got some attention. I personally agree, she does look bit, not fat, but big. She could lose about 10 lbs. She looks thick and just needs to lose some weight. Sara you gave Miel the attention she/he probaly wanted. congratulations.
One thing I don’t understand is when people say(paraphrase) “I don’t think she looks fat at all, she looks fine, she’s thick, etc…, but she could stand to lose X lbs.” If you think she’s not fat, why say she needs to lose weight? I thought that was the point of weight loss, to no longer be fat.
fat in my opinion is when you look disgustingly huge. She isnt huge, just big. She also isnt healthy. She could stand to lose some weight, im not saying she should be anorexic, she just needs to lose weight to be a HEALTHY role model. Just because she is bigger and has confidence doesnt mean that she is “role model” material. A role model IMO is someone who is healthy, not anorexic or fat. If she is happy, whatever, good for her. Im just saying.

That’s obese. Fat is when you have a higher than healthy body fat percentage, or are overweight.

Well yea, she’s close to 6′ and large framed, of course she’s big. But that doesn’t mean she’s overweight/too high body fat %

How do you know she’s not healthy or above a healthy weight? She’s what, a size 14? That’s a 32″ waist, and health wise, that’s still good, it’s when the waist is 35″+ that’s unhealthy for women. She doesn’t look like she’s overweight, and it looks like she has actually lost weight since she won AI. I don’t think she needs to lose any at all, and doesn’t even look like she needs to lose any.
How does being slightly overweight equal fat cow??? She’s got a large build, therefore she will probably be slightly larger. And yes folks, there is actually something to being big boned. Her body is not petite by any means but calling her a fat cow is just…lacking the sensitivity chip.
And BTW, I agree with Sara that you were probably looking for a response so…congrats, you got some!
I agree Kae, everyone has different body shapes and bone structure. She will NEVER look like Eva Longoria or Victoria Beckham and she dosen’t need too. She looks Beautiful and Confident.
No, she won’t ever be a really small woman but hey, everyone’s different. She seems to have a very bubbly personality and that’s great.
It’s my nature to be thin, so I would be unhappy at that weight. However, she looks phenomenal! So strong and fit looking. I love her outfit and her face too. Great outlook on life.

She looks bad..i would hate to have her body.How can she be comfortable in the limelight with this body? I don’t like her since she was such a prude at the mtv awards with Russell Brand who was just having a laugh!!
Oh yeah, the prude thing annoyed me. I personally would hate having that body, but if she’s happy that way then good for her! I think it shows that she’s very strong to resist the pressures Hollywood puts on young starts, it makes me like her more.
i love when ppl say things like “wow shes big”, like shes the size of a national park and not the size (im guessing 10-14 maybe) that she actually is. Shes a normal size for her. She may not fit the sick aesthetic of the “hollywood woman” but shes beautiful. I think it funny how ppl get on lindsay lohan for being sickly and then toot the healthy bodies of women who dont weight that much more than she does. If you can say that lindsay is sick and in the next post say that gisele is gorgeous get your head checked.

Agreed. Plus, Jordin is close to 6′, isn’t she? If she were a foot short, but the same size, I would tend to agree that she’s bigger than she should be, but she’s freaking tall

I think they mean ‘big and tall’, as opposed to fat. She is 6ft and probably around 200lb due to her large build.
I think she looks like this is her natural healthy maintainable weight.

I’m not entirely sure who she is (I live in the UK…?) but she’s certainly pretty; bigger than your average star of course but it’s quite refreshing. Have to say though that the last photo looks like she got really excited and went for a wee. Pissy pants sparks?? xxx
I like her face, she always looks radiant.
Her outfit is very unflattering though. A shirt with sleeves and a skirt would look a lot better on her figure.
I actually think she looks very well proportioned for her bone structure. The tone on her arms tells me she is not really fat, but rather all around large. I think she might drop a few pounds but her smile radiates a lot of warmth.
