Kate Winslet talks body image in Vanity Fair… and gets photoshopped at the same time – quite the pair, right? Here’s what she had to say:
“This is going to sound really weird but I never had a desire to be famous. I never had huge ambitions—never.… I was fat. I didn’t know any fat famous actresses. I just did not see myself in that world at all, and I’m being very sincere. You know, once a fat kid, always a fat kid. Because you always think that you just look a little bit wrong or a little bit different from everyone else. And I still sort of have that. I often look at women who wear great jeans and high heels and nice little T-shirts wandering around the city and I think, I should make more of an effort. I should look like that. But then I think, They can’t be happy in those heels.”
All this gave me an idea – Kate (the real, authentic, curvier and untouched by Photoshop’s hands Kate) would make quite a good competitor in our Skinny VS Curvy battle – so stay tunned and tomorrow we’ll get to vote!
UPDATE: Since the blogoshpere was buzzing about how these Vanity Fair pictures were photoshopped, Kate herself got a little angry – as a result, her representative declared:
“She is in terrific shape and what you see is how she looks or she would never have agreed to pose for those shots. The only retouching was the usual work on skin tone that happens in every glamour shoot.”

She´s amazingly gorgeous. I have nothing negative to say about her. She´s a classic and unique beauty at the same time. She really is someone to look up for. I know people who are prettier than her in theory, but there is that something in her which makes her more beautiful than everybody else. If I was a man I would want my wife to be like her!
And I wish she´ll got that Oscar. And Leo too.

Kate doesn’t have to exert effort to look beautiful and sexy. She has a very beautiful face that other women envy because it hardly needs a facial in santa ana.

Kate Winslet is in all honesty, the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. I am 15, and on the chunky side, I have been for many years now, and when I was 13 gave up eating altogether for about 3 months, when I did eat, which was in front of my parents, I forced it back up again. Since studying Media at school, and one part being Skinny vs. Curves, and learning a lot about Kate Winslet being curvey and then Kate Moss being skinny, I decided I don’t want to be like Kate Moss, I want to be like Kate Winslet. So it does sound a bit weird but in a way, Kate Winslet stopped me starving myself.

she is or is becoming just one more anorexic hollywood star. After years of condeming this trend becouse its bad for health of them but mostly because young girl copy it. even if one of these celebs die it still won’t end this trend. p.s. most disturbing is catherine zeta jones recently.
well speaking as kates number one fan! i must say this oscar winning beauty has the most beautifully amazing body ever! & im glad shes in the middle. she isnt thin nor big shes a size 10 (uk) and shes working that size to be honest! shes quite thin but has the curves in the right places and i think her body is better than any other hollywood body out there! shes stunning and healthy! all her pictures come out bloody amazing! photoshoped or not she still has the most amazingly gorgeous body (and face) that i love. shes so sexy yet really healthy and shes a good example to everyone! yes, i must say she is the most amazingly beautiful woman i have ever seen. x
