Kim Kardashian Gets a Makeover for YRB Magazine

A few days ago, Kim Kardashian got a makeover… or a make-under (literally), since she was spotted without any make-up on. Well, we’re looking at the exact opposite here: Kim Kardashian is wearing loads of it, plus she’s got a completely different skin tone, a new black bob hairstyle (about that: wow or eww?), avant-garde clothes and her high fashion attitude.
Does she pull this look off? What do you say? But first, let’s see what Kim says about the shoot:
“My YRB Magazine shoot just came out and I am loving the results! I love the photog, Mike Ruiz, and my stylist Darius Baptist was amazing! This shoot was done the day I left for Africa. I really love the transformation and the clothes were amazing!!! This has got to be one of the most unique shoots I’ve ever done! Not sure I’ll ever go for a permanent short cut, but it definitely works for this shoot.”

I commented on a picture of her a while ago and said something like how incredibly boring and predictable i thought she was. but with these editorial shots she really surprised me. for the first time i see depth and sophistication. i really am pleasantly surprised and i hope that she is well beyond her tacky playboy phase.
scary, but i guess that’s what high fashion is. Still though, just. um, i don’t like it. She can’t pull it off. in my opinion. But she’s got a nice bod.
I think these shots are FIERCE! She totally pulls it off. I love Haute Couture and high fashion in general. So, I truly appreciate this photoshoot. Good for you Kim!
sorry but kim k is simply NOT high fashion no matter what they do to her…she looks ridiculous…a REAL fashion model could pull this off but she looks like a fake clown
she resembles Marylin Manson to me. these pics also show how much hair plays a part in a persons physical attractiveness.

I love high fashion because imo it’s a certan art form but I just don’t see Kim in this.
Well its very unique..If I saw these on there own I wouldnt recognise her as Kim! She looks really different, but has great hourglass curves here.
she doesnt even look like her you can see pics haute couture of Kate Moss and she will still look like her but imo she is not Kim at all

No, no no! Her makeup and clothes are doing the photo shoot, not her. She is expressionless and doesn’t own the make up and wardrobe. She looks like she is playing dress up in a carnival clown’s wardrobe.

well would think that kim could be that classy ! I love it !
i like the outfits and the styling, but it shows she’s not a model. she’s just standing there, and esp. the 2. from the bottom seems a bit uncomfortable to me. they propably asked her to pose like that, but it doesn’t look like it’s natural to her.. facial expressions R ok, but there too i get the feeling she was copying what she’s seen / knows she has to do, but doesn’t quuuuite pull it off. if i only glanced at the pics i’d say they’re nice and kind of cool though.
waw….these are really high fashion ..never really saw kim as model model before shes really gorgeous…ppl make i seem that because she short she cane be a model but these shots are fierce…

Honestly, she is freaking me out in these pics. I have a hard time looking at them for too long; it’s like the visual equivalent of nails on chalkboard. I agree with the person who said that she is really not working these looks, I think someone else could have modeled them better.
Too much photoshop, since when does she look so white..
