Blake Lively on Getting in Shape: “No Gluten and No Soy”

On how she got in shape after her first baby, prior to filming ‘In the Shallows’ in a bikini:

“I focused on training and eating well. It took two different trainers and a nutritionist to help me get into that sort of shape because it’s not normal to look like that eight months after having a kid. It’s the name of the game when you are doing a movie in a swimsuit. You know there is going to be that bikini shot. But how cool would it be if there wasn’t. What we actually did was no gluten and no soy. It seems like it was really easy to cut out but you realize there is soy in everything… Even if it’s healthy wholefoods or organic stuff there’s always soy in it. But once you remove soy you realize you are eating just like no processed foods. That’s basically what I did. No processed foods and then working out.”

Everybody is so hyped up on the fact that I post photos where my butt’s out. It’s a butt. Everyone has a butt. I don’t think it’s crazy. I don’t really think I’m telling myself, ‘You should post this, you shouldn’t post that,’ I feel like I’m just having fun. I like my fans to see what I’m doing. It’s like, Let me live! I’m enjoying my life, you’re enjoying your life. You should be posting your butt if you like it, too!

Sofia Vergara: “I literally work out just so I can eat the cake”

On what food tempts her:

“My biggest temptation, the thing I can’t live without, for sure, is cake. I always have to have cake in my house. I try to only eat it from Friday to Sunday, but, of course, that doesn’t always work. I literally work out just so I can give in to the temptation and eat the cake. My workout motto is ‘No pain, no cake!’”

On aging:

“I think you’re a better person. You’re more mature, you know what you want, you know what’s important, and you don’t sweat the small stuff. I wish I had that knowledge in my 20s. The way things are changing physically. I have to work out my legs more because my knees are starting to look weird.”
