Jennifer Love Hewitt Covers “Shape” and Talks Body Image

Jennifer Love Hewitt Covers Shape and Talks Body Image

OK, so first of all, here’s another photoshopped cover from Shape Magazine (at least Jennifer’s curves didn’t vanish in the process). And here’s what she says in People Magazine:

Nearly two years after was she was criticized for showing off some cellulite while at the beach in Hawaii, Jennifer Love Hewitt is savoring the best revenge of all – baring a new, toned body ready for a bikini.

But she admits that she still has insecurities about her figure.

“I’m a girl, after all!” the actress, 30, tells the October issue of Shape, out this week. “For the most part, yeah, I’m happy with my body, but there are days when I’m like, ‘Ugh! Really? Why is it so hard to fit into my jeans?’ That’s when I say to myself, ‘I look this way because I’m supposed to. If we all looked the same, we’d be boring.’ ”

Hewitt also thanks boyfriend Jamie Kennedy, whom she’s been dating for seven months, for her slimmer and healthier lifestyle

“He’s inspired me to improve my diet,” she says. “He has a salad with every meal, plus lots of fruit, fish, and vegetables.”

And she’s also been a good influence on him.

“Last summer we were in Monaco. Every morning we ran for 40 minutes through the streets of Monte Carlo,” she says. “It was an amazing way to see the city. Now when we travel, we try to explore the places by running.”

But there’s no beating the power of positive thinking.

“I fall asleep feeling beautiful,” she says. “Then, in the morning, before I leave the house, I say five things I love about myself, like ‘You have really pretty eyes.’ That way I can go out into the world with that little bit of extra confidence. It’s a feel-good protein shake in my back pocket in case someone messes with me that day.”

Remember when her boyfriend called her “pear ass”?

Serena Williams: “Everyone Called Me Fat”

September 23, 2009 in General by Versus

Serena Williams Everyone Called Me Fat

Here are the details:

Serena Williams has one of the best bodies in sports, but she has still been called fat.

“I went through a really tough stage that took place when I was No. 1 and I had surgery and fell to almost 200 in the ranking,” she told Tyra Banks in an interview to air on her talk show on Thursday (watch video above). “Everyone called me fat, saying I was really unfit. Every [news]paper, the headline was ‘fat, fat, fat.’”

“You have to enjoy what you look like,” she said. “Sometimes I read things [that say] I’m too fit or my arms are too muscular, but that’s how I am. This is me, I love me. I think every person out there — man, woman, regardless of age or gender — needs to love themselves.”

Kim Kardashian Posts Bikini Pictures on Her Blog (Of Course) | kim kardashian

Kim recently did a bikini shoot for People magazine – Above you can see real Kim (I guess) on the left and Kim in the magazine on the right. No major photoshopping going on, but I see signs of it in the arms, hips, upper thigh and waist areas.

The bikini shots came with the following message:

I used to be really nervous doing bikini shoots but I honestly feel like now I am so much more confident and comfortable in my skin after losing a little weight and most importantly, toning up. Take a look through the People Magazine spread and let me know what you think. I think the photos turned out really well, very natural!

And a little something from her interview with People Magazine:

“After years of insecurities, Kim Kardashian proclaims: I’m proud of my curves!”

“This journey has taught me to be who I am. It doesn’t matter what other people think.”

I’m sad to say it, but this girl sends a lot of opposite messages: she’s proud of her curves, then she tries to prove that she wears size 26/27 in jeans in a video, then she is proud of her curves again, then she has chicken legs and she is very small, she is 117 lbs, no, she is 114, but she was always 120-125, she lost weight, got totally slimmerized in Photoshop in magazines, then sent a “No! to Photoshop” message, toned up, released a fitness video, became the image of a diet pill company, then she is proud of her curves again.

What do you think?

Kelly Clarkson Loves Her Bubble Butt

She really does! And she says guys love it too. And she’s sad for the girls who can’t fill their jeans:

Kelly Clarkson loves her “bubble butt.” The “My Life Would Suck Without You” singer loves being a role model for curvy girls, and is especially proud of her shapely posterior. She said: “I totally have no chest, I’m all butt. Ever since I was a kid I’ve had a bubble butt – I get it from my mama. Guys are usually like, ‘Oh my gosh, look at that butt!’ In a good way!” “I’m a fan of my butt. I like filling out a pair of jeans, because sometimes I see girls who can’t and I feel bad about that.”

Kelly, 27, has been criticized for her fluctuating weight, but insists comments about her figure do not bother her.She is happy to admit she has cellulite and struggles to stay slim, and claims women who say it is easy to stay in shape are lying. She told Britain’s Heat magazine: “Dude, every woman has cellulite, I don’t care who you are. Unless you’re some anorexic girl in some mental institution? but even then their skin gets like that and worse. Any girl who tells you she doesn’t have cellulite is a frickin’ liar!”

Although Kelly has ruled out having cosmetic surgery to improve her figure, she is adamant women should not be lambasted if they do go under the knife. She insisted: “If a girl wanted bigger boobs, she could get them, but you can’t get a bigger butt!”"I’m kind of on the fence about it, because I have a friend who was completely unhappy with her boyish figure and she got breast implants and it turned her life around. So it’s hard for me to be against it, but I’m also not for it. I would never do it.”

OK, there are a few interesting statements in there! Let’s talk!

And here’s an inspiring comment from Jessica:

“No matter how much money you spend to make yourself beautiful – With all the products, the diets, the plastic surgery – in the end women need to fall in love with themselves and realize they’re beautifully and wonderfully made.”
