Kendra Wilkinson Is Sharing Her Weight Loss Secrets | hollywood moms

New mom Kendra (who says she lost 25 pounds since giving birth) is already sharing her weight loss diet secrets in OK! Magazine (after last week, she embraced the cover in a bikini). In case you’re curious, here’s her “secret” plan:

“It’s about portion control, healthy choices and not mixing proteins and carbs in the same meal because they digest differently.-”

1. Eat Breakfast
“I have strawberry or peach yogurt; cereal and fruit; or a smoothie, so I’m not hungry and I feel energized!” Eating in the a.m. prevents binging later in the day.

2. Skip The Scale
“Chart your progress with how your clothes fit, not what the number on the scale says.”

3. Don’t Cut Everything Out At Once
Kendra craved ice cream and pizza in her third trimester. “I can’t just go from that to eating salads. I’m phasing it out, little bit by little bit.”

4. Keep A Goal In Mind
Kendra wants to surpass Kim Kardashian’s famous Hollywood booty! She also wants to wear a slinky Hervé Léger dress for hubby Hank Baskett.

5. Snack Smart
“I really like cold, raw vegetables — especially baby carrots.” Dip them in some hummus or fat-free dressing for a low-cal midday munch.

6. Indulge Once In A While
Kendra allows herself red meat once a week, coffee in the morning and, when the craving strikes, “Flamin’ Hot Cheetos! I love them!”

7. Don’t Overload Your Plate
Carb-loving Kendra still eats pasta and rice. “It’s just all about portion sizes.” A sensible amount is 1 cup, about the size of a tennis ball.

8. Eat The Right Fats
“You should keep some fats in your diet if you are breastfeeding. They’re good for both mom and baby!” Add avocados; nuts, such as almonds, hazelnuts and pecans; and seeds, such as pumpkin and sesame, to your diet.

9. Adapt Your Schedule So You Have Time To Work Out
“I go to the gym when Hank comes home. We take turns with who gets to work out!” Strive for 30 minutes of exercise each day.

10. Ease Into Exercise
“From carrying a baby for nine months, my back is really messed up. So I’ve been trying to strengthen my core before I start on crunches.”

“I’ve completely changed the way I eat since doing Dancing with the Stars. A trick I’ve learned is to eat just a little bit of something that has no carbs and no sugar in it before you go to sleep because it keeps your metabolism going. “

“They say you should never eat before you go to bed, but I’ve found just having a tiny little snack — like half an apple or something like that — before you go to sleep really helps.”

… says Kelly about the diet that helped her lose weight.

On whether she feels the “skinny Hollywood” pressure:

“I don’t feel pressure, no, as I know I’m kind of voluptuous and I’ve always been that way,” Katy said. “Saying that, I’m young and metabolism is on my side and my schedule is so crazy that I lose weight from the intensity of it. But if you ask me that question in five or six years and I’ll probably have a different answer for you.”

… says Katy.

And Katy’s sister keeps an eye on her diet:

“My sister makes me watch what I eat. She’s a pescatarian, a vegetarian who eats fish, and she’s lost so much weight from being that. She’ll scream at me if some of the crew on my tour get hot pizza for a snack and I want some. Sometimes I can grab a slice, but if my sister sees me, I get a verbal lashing! I eat secretly in the corner – my one pepperoni slice.”

“People will say, ‘Oh, fashion magazines are so bad, they’re giving girls a negative message’–but we’re also the fattest country in the world, so it’s not like we’re all looking at fashion magazines and not eating. Maybe it just starts a shame cycle: I’m never going to look like that model, so… Chicken McNuggets it is! And conversely, I don’t look at models who are crazy skinny and think I want to look like that, because a lot of them are gigantic, with giant hands and giant feet.”

… says Tina in Vogue Magazine

P.S.: Tina is looking quite skinny on that cover.

Gisele Bündchen Talks Baby Weight

People Magazine has the scoop:

The supermodel also reveals that she didn’t take her pregnancy as an excuse to indulge in junk food.

“I kept myself in good shape during the whole pregnancy, eating healthily, meditating, and doing exercises,” says Bündchen, who did yoga and kung-fu until November. “I put on a little weight, but kept using almost the same clothes, with small adjustments on the stomach.”

Of course keeping fit since the baby arrived has been a challenge.

“I still haven’t had time to go back to doing exercise. In the first few months, everything turns around the baby. But little by little you recover your form,” she says. “What helps me is the fact that I didn’t put much weight on, and that I had a natural birth and am breast-feeding.”

She really didn’t gain much at all!
