Interested? Let’s see some of Carrie’s tips! From Self Magazine:

Favorite ab improver: “When I gain weight, it’s in the spare-tire area. I’ve told trainers abs are a physical impossibility for me. And every single time, they’re like, ‘Well, we’ll get you abs!’ So do I have them? No! But they’re as flat as they’re probably going to get. Push-ups work out everything. If you do them right, you’ll feel it in your abs. I do four sets of 10 to 20.”

Workout motivation tricks:

1.) Make exercise accessible. “I have Exercise TV on cable. Jillian Michaels’s videos will kick your butt. She’s my trainer, and she doesn’t even know it!”

2.) Work toward an event. “Everybody has things they want to look nice for: anniversary, birthday, reunion. I’ll think to myself, Oh, that award show is coming up. Or, I have a photo shoot in four days! It’s nice to set goals.”

3.) Revel in success. “I love it when I feel good about myself. I’ll look at a photo and think, My arms look great!–and then I go work out my arms. Once you’re enjoying things about your body, you realize how much you want to keep them that way or make them better.”

“If I eat too much before a show, I just want to sit down. Too little, and I’m starving. So I eat something small, like Quorn, a tasty meat-free protein, and green beans.”
Keep a food diary. Carrie has been tracking her intake for three years! She counts her calories on a regular basis, to see how it all adds up. “Once you realize, it’s like, ‘No wonder I’ve plateaued! No wonder I’ve been gaining weight!’” she says. “Little things really do add up.”

“My food indulgences are pizza, and I love… cheese. I have a big problem controlling myself with the cheese.” Two years later, it looks like she found a way to have her pizza and eat it too! Here’s her recipe favorite formula for a healthy, 250-calorie personal pizza: 1 Flatout wrap with 1/4 cup sauce, 1/2 cup fat-free or 2% cheese and loaded up with veggies.

Jessica Alba Loves Her Stretch Marks, Sagging Boobs and Cellulite

Hmm… should we believe her? Let’s hear out the context:

From Self Magazine:

On her post-baby body: “Even though some might consider them a flaw, I’ve learned to love my stretch marks. Pregnancy was the most incredible experience I’ve ever had. So I’ll take the stretch marks. I’ll take the sagging boobs. I’ll take the cellulite I can never get rid of. If you walk around with your head held high and you’re happy and positive, then all that other stuff is irrelevant. Confidence is number one.”

On her anti-diet stance: “Diets are for the birds. I think you have to eat in a way that makes you feel your best. I include a lot of vegetables and lean protein and fruit and grains in my diet. I’m not a big workout person. Every single day, I tell my girlfriends we’re starting a regimen. And then it’s, like, ‘Want to get dinner? Want a glass of wine?’”

From US Magazine:

Kristin Cavallari’s workout mentality? No pain, no gain.

The Hills star, 23, takes a circuit training class at her gym that “kicks your ass,” she tells UsMagazine.com.

“I never want to go and I walk out dripping in sweat and it kills you, but it works,” she admits of the class, called Burn 60. “And I feel good… This is the first time in my life where I’ve really been working out consistently.”

“Once you see results, you want to maintain them and you want to keep it going and that makes you want to go to the gym,” she tells Us.

As for her diet, Cavallari’s secret to staying slim and trim is all about control — and a reward!

“Control for six days of the week,” she says, “and then letting yourself eat whatever you want on that one day!”

Are you supporters of the “control 6 days, eat whatever 1 day” diet/lifestyle?

Anyway, Kristin got very thin and I personally think she looked prettier / healthier before the weight loss. Pictured: Kristen 14 months ago (in yellow) and Kristen now (in purple).

Jennifer Lopez Dieted to Fit in the Sparkly Jumpsuit? | jennifer lopez

Even though Jennifer Lopez was just saying that she is not “a fitness monster” anymore, The National Enquirer claims that Jennifer opted for a strict diet in order to fit in the overly-discussed jumpuit she wore on New Year’s Eve.

Jennifer Lopez dieted and worked out for two months so she could squeez into a skintight catsuit for New Year’s Eve!

The 40year-old mother of two shed about 20 pound before her sizzling performance in Times Square, the Enquirer has learned.

“No one had any idea how hard J.Lo worked to get into that outfit,” a family source divulged to the Enquirer. “She spent the last two months toning up on a special diet and exercise regimen.”

Husband Marc Anthony put in a state-of-the art gym at their mansion in suburban New York to help her out, said the source. The result was a temperature-raising experience for the shivering revelers in Times Square, as well as TV viewers who watched J.Lo belt out her song “Waiting for Tonight” on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.”

“I carry all my stress weight, all my potato chip weight around my mid section. You’ve got to fight genetics sometimes.”

“I do not eat catering. I have a refrigerator on the bus and when we’re in a decent town that has a decent grocery store, I just go and stock up. My off days on the road are spent doing laundry and buying groceries.”

About her personal trainer Tony Greco:

“Is kicking my butt. I need it. Especially with a tour coming up and a wedding to look good for.”

… says Carrie in a radio interview.
