Skinny VS Curvy

Hmm… I wonder how come no one noticed that these 2 pictures of Kate in Parade Magazine were very different, in a “Before and After Photoshop”-sort of way. The differences?

1. Kate’s overall skin: Freckles on the left, immaculate, translucent skin on the right.

2. Kate’s beauty mole above her upper lip. Present on the left, disappeared on the right!

3. The black area under the left eye (whatever it is: smeared makeup, dark circles). Visible on the left, invisible on the right!

And I’m not counting the hair and light-related differences.

As for the full-body picture, even though Kate is very verbal about her “NO to Photoshop!” mission, I can’t help noticing that Kate is not that slim in real life (and no, I’m not saying she should be).

Your thoughts?

In a world where Photoshop has become as mandatory as air, this would be Britney’s latest promo for her new album Circus. You can find the cover of the same album HERE.

As for the question in the title… I’m not talking about the body, the body is fine, it looks like it belongs to Britney (minus the greasy / plastic effect on the skin, that is) - I am talking about the face. And the hair. The smile. The features. Do they belong to Britney?

P.S. I’m pretty sure that the hair belongs to Jessica Simpson.

Dear photo editors,

Allow me to ask: Do you love your job so much that you end up doing it (your job, that is) even when it is SO NOT necessary? Like in Kate’s case right here. You see, Kate’s got an amazing body, a body which besides being amazing, is also REAL. I’m not the only one saying so, I’ve got a website called www.skinnyvscurvy.com and my readers are saying the same thing (people, back me up here), while they’re jaws drop at the sight of Kate’s figure - REAL figure, excuse my repetition.

Also, we would really like to know why you attempted to metamorphose Kate’s hips from convex to concave, why you had to liquify (yes, I know the terms) her (already small) waist into something that would usually require extracting a rib or why you felt the need to take an inch (or two) from her thigh and use the same inch (or two, or three) to extend her legs.  

But I guess we should all look at the bright side here: a “Thank You” is in order for not going as dramatic as you did in the “OMG, that’s not her body!”-Jennifer Lopez cover. So thank you, but next time, please don’t equip yourself with as many Photoshop guns tools and start a war with Kate’s (or Jennifer’s / or Mariah’s / or -insert curvy girl’s name- ) curves.

I know you all missed skinny Heidi (and her ever-present Spencer) and her oh-so-natural candids - so here she is, in a Halloween costume that follows the already mentioned “revealing, short and cleavagey” trend that dominates this Halloween among celebs. And when you add fishnets and a dress as-mini-as-it-gets, then you just know you’re seeeexy.

We’ve seen Tara in a bikini many, many times (too many?). And facts are, she’s looking differently every time. If you don’t believe me, check Tara’s (definitely slimmer) bikini body from a few months back!

The good news this time is that… while the odd aspect of Tara’s stomach isn’t completely gone, it has definitely improved. On the other hand, chest bones + not exactly perky boobs = not the most aesthetic look.
