Jessica Simpson: “I Fluctuate from Size 4 to 6″

Jessica Simpson: I Fluctuate from Size 4 to 6 | jessica simpson

Jessica Simpson opened up about last year’s media criticism regarding her weight fluctuations – Let’s see what she has to say in Oprah Magazine:

Jessica’s been through a lot in the past few years, but she says her lowest point was the “mom jeans” situation. “People [were] talking about my weight for an entire year,” she says. “It’s like people just couldn’t stop talking about my weight fluctuating.”

At first, Jessica says she tried to ignore the uproar over her 10-pound weight gain, but she couldn’t block out the barrage of negativity. “It would bother any woman, I would think. I had to get to a place where I had to guard myself,” she says. “The fact that I was famous last year for gaining 10 pounds, it’s ridiculous, and it’s really sad.”

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the average American woman wears a size 14. Jessica says the jeans she’s wearing in the now-infamous photos are a size 4. “I fluctuate from 4 to 6,” she says.

No matter what critics write, Jessica says she loves her curves and is comfortable with her weight. “I’m not going to ever be size 0, and I don’t want to weigh 90 pounds,” she says. “It’s a really hard thing for me to talk about because I celebrate women of all sizes. I think that we’re all beautiful.”

Jennifer Garner Is a Size 0 Now

Jennifer Garner Is a Size 0 Now | hollywood moms

Life & Style has the scoop:

When a slim Jennifer Garner stepped onto the stage recently at the Golden Globes in LA, the Versace-clad mom of two drew plenty of oohs and aahs. But her streamlined silhouette was a new look for the 37-year-old star, who was once famous for the super-muscular physique she showed off in action-hero roles.

“She’s a size 0 now,” an insider says about Jen, who has two daughters, Violet, 4, and Seraphina, 13 months, with hubby Ben Affleck. “She used to be a size 6.”

That means after having her second child, Jen dropped the baby weight and more — which was tough to do the first time, she’s said.

“I just wasn’t that motivated,” Jen said about taking time to lose the weight after Violet’s birth. Then I got on the treadmill, stopped stuffing my face and lost the weight. I cut out croissants, bagels and muffins — all the good stuff — and went back to having
a salad once a day and protein.”

Real-Size Models Walked the Runway in Fashion Show

October 26, 2009 in Hot Models by Versus

Real-Size Models Walked the Runway in Fashion Show

They’re not your average size 2 models and they’re not plus size models either – they’re real size models or normal size models, as in sizes 8-12.

And they’ve finally been incorporated in a fashion show, more precisely, in Mark Fast’s Spring 2010 Fashion Show.

Why did the designer choose them? Here’s the explanation from the creative director of the brand:

“The decision to use fuller girls is something we have been talking about. There’s an idea that only thin and slender women are able to wear Mark’s dresses and he wanted to combat that. We wanted women to know they didn’t have to be a size zero to wear a Mark Fast dress – curvier women can look even better in them.”

Hmm… ok, then they should have picked more flattering underwear (just a thought).

Real-Size Models Walked the Runway in Fashion Show 2

On a more important note, what do you guys think of the real-size models initiative? I mean, you’ve got the size 0-4 skinny models dominating the runways, we’ve got the occasional size 12 and up plus-size models as well… I always wonder why we don’t get more of the size 6-12 models, especially since so many women fall in this category? Even more, the majority of the typical skinny models are underweight (not saying that they’re not healthy, because some are naturally skinny) and the plus-size ones are mostly overweight (again – not saying that they’re not healthy, we can’t assume that)…

But it just makes sense that we need more models with healthy BMIs – and sizes 6-12 are a great source for that.

What do you guys think?

UPDATE: I am including 2 more pictures from the same show – skinny models this time. The look (hair and make-up) was unflattering for all of them. Check out after the jump!

Khloe Kardashian Is Still Being Called “Fat”

October 8, 2009 in General by Versus

Khloe Kardashian Is Still Being Called Fat
… even though she’s a size 6.

Life & Style reports:

Even though reality star Khloé Kardashian recently shed 25 pounds, bloggers were calling her a “monster beast,” “Kong,” “Bigfoot” and a “fat skunk” after she walked down the aisle in her fairy-tale Vera Wang wedding gown and tied the knot with Lamar Odom on Sept. 27.

And fellow reality stars added to the unfair ridicule. Supermodel Janice Dickinson attacked the star saying, “There’s no way she would become a fashion icon. Khloé looks like a heifer.” And Spencer Pratt recently said, “Khloé still needs to work out more. I recommend she go to theheidimontagworkout.com so she can get fantastic curves like my wife’s.”

But the feisty newlywed, who dropped from a size 10 to a 6, isn’t taking the comments laying down. “Everyone criticizes me about my weight all the time,” Khloé tells Life & Style. “It’s easy for me to be like some other girls in Hollywood — not eat and become anorexic — but thank goodness I am strong-willed and secure with myself.”

Self-confidence didn’t always come easy for the Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami star.

“When I was a chunky little 8-year-old and I had these two beautiful sisters, I’d wonder, why don’t I look like that?” Khloé remembers. “Now I hate it when people compare me to my sisters. Kourtney’s 5 feet, I’m 5-foot-10 and Kim is 5-foot-2. I will never look like them. No matter how skinny I am, that body will never be mine.”

Still, the attacks continue. “Khloé should be put out to pasture,” Janice Dickinson says. “She should be kept in the stables along with the rest of that family. I think she’s a little pig. The whole family is piglike.”

Comments like that once would have left Khloé in tears. But these days, she’s brimming with confidence thanks to her new healthy diet and fitness plan.

“Khloé’s in the best shape of her life, and millions of people would kill to look like her,” Kim told Life & Style as she was leaving STK restaurant in LA on Oct. 2. So even though Khloé was unfairly ridiculed on what was supposed to be the happiest day of her life, in the end she’s getting the last laugh: She has the perfect body and the perfect man.

“Way before, I was a size 10. Then I went to an 8, and now I’m a 6,” Khloé tells Life & Style. “I don’t think with my bone structure I could get much smaller than a 6. This is my body — and I love it.”

Whoa, those comments coming from Janice are pretty mean. And Spencer is funny, let’s all laugh, haha.

I’m no fan and I dislike the fact that these sisters talk so much about their weight (and pose oh-so-oftenly in bikinis), but being called “heifer” as much as Khloe does can’t be pleasant.
