Skinny VS Curvy

Trying really hard to balance the skinny and the curvy celebrities here – and occasionally it might need some curvy C list celebs to do so. So, here is The Bachelorette’s DeAnna Pappas (who was looking slimmer on the show, but hey, don’t they all “diet on work day and indulge on vacay”?).

And since we’ve got one curvy girl in a bikini, why not do a Curvy Scale! Not familiar with our rating system? Here is how it is: Rate DeAnna from 1 to 10, where 1 means “skinny, waif, rail thin” and 10 means… “Kim Kardashian”.

Versus’s expert rating: DeAnna deserves an 8+ with applauds! Boobs? Got them! Hips? Surely there! Waist definition, Spot on! Meaty Thighs? Definitely!

They say that curvy girls should stay away from tight or skinny jeans and go for straight and classic cuts instead. Well, Beyonce proves them all wrong, since she’s sporting some super tight jeans that look just right on her (once bigger) hips and thighs.

In fact, tight pants are Beyonce’s favorite lately: whether they come in blue, white or again blue. Say your thoughts!

Here is someone we haven’t spotted in a while: Christina Aguilera.

What has changed? What stayed the same?

Well, Christina’s curves (thighs + hips package), even though reduced in size, are still filling the jeans and her experimental fashion sense can still be noticed – today in a funky / punk outfit and tomorrow in a 1950’s-style dress and peep toes.

How do you like the weight / curves / outfit?

Hey now, this is pushing it. I mean, the 15 lbs (yes, I’m being kind) that they got off Kim’s body weren’t enough, they also had to add a few inches in height (isn’t Kim looking lean from such an unforgiving perspective?), drastically reduced the size of the thighs and minimized the waist, even though it wasn’t exactly needed. Oh yeah, and even the boobs look less “impressive”, not to mention that Kim’s lost her trademark curvy hips.

P.S. Nice touch with the white bikini fading into the white background there, it saved those guys a lot of butt-editing.

For a true body gossip delight, you’ve got to agree that the next best thing after a bikini is called daisy dukes – especially when it comes to someone like Mischa, whose legs and back thigh cellulite have been in the body gossip spotlight oh so many times.

Well, this time, keep your critiques to yourself, cause Mischa is looking much, much better, much slimmer and, at least from the side perspective, cellulite-free.

On another and different note, how are do you find Mischa’s croched bathing suit? It looks like she’s remaining loyal to her personal hippie and bohemian style even when she’s relaxing on the beach.

I hear that Nelly has been receiving a little criticism for her slightly thick (in Hollywood) legs. I don’t think that she should lose any weight, as I’m pretty sure that she’s at a healthy weight that presupposes eating on regular basis (unlike some), but I will say that she could benefit from choosing more flattering outfits for her body type.

Outfits like what? Like a knee-length dress for starters, since she appears to define the pear body shape and carries her weight on her legs. Good points for choosing bright colors on her (smaller) top and slimming black on her (thicker) bottom.

Rihanna sure has a passion for…let’s call them “innovative” shoes that come with outrageously high heels and multiple straps. These ones above, even though they are very original and… unique, they are not as… innovative as the pair she wore some weeks ago. Now even though these type of shoes that come with uncountable straps are not doing favors to shapely legs, Rihanna manages to pull them off pretty well on stage. What do you say?

Well, it looks like Megan Fox has got the magic ingredients in order to make this slim and curvy recipe work:

 - an overall thin appearance

 - curvy hips and thighs, though still in the limits of thinness

 - medium set of boobs

 - small waist

 - thin arms

 - close to perfection bust-waist-hip ratio.

Alicia Keys is in the air… and we mean it literally. In fact, the flowing effect is sure making Alicia look like she’s as light as a feather, even though her thighs represent a curvy, voluptuous woman that, besides having curvy thighs, also has a pretty slim waist – and we can observe them all thanks to the tight and high-waisted pants.

And since we mentioned the pants – not that Alicia’s is not looking fab, but there might be better and even “fabber” choices of pants for a pear shaped girl – like something not as tights on the lower legs.

Jennifer is definitely enjoying her vacation and spends a good percentage of it in the water – sometimes wearing her shiny, silver bikini and sometimes wearing the above less flashy two piece. Oh, and I forgot to mention that she is always wearing round, big diva earrings and other such blings – in the water, when swimming.

Body talk? Nothing major happened in the last days on Jennifer’s bikini body, the plump butt is till there, together with the curvy thighs and with the little belly.
