Skinny VS Curvy

Ahlan! News just reported:

Insiders say Lindsay’s weight has dropped from 61 kilos (134 lbs) to 43 kilos (94 lbs) within the past few months, which, at 5ft 6 (168 cm) makes her seriously underweight according to her BMI.

“She looks horribly unhealthy,” said a friend, who adds that LiLo’s pals are blaming a ‘skinny pact’ with Samantha Ronson for the rapid weight loss. “Lindsay is obsessed with her weight.”

So according to this, her BMI would be 15.2, extremely underweight.

Various sources say that Jessica Simpson just hired coach Mike Alexander to help her lose weight - A Star Magazine insider says…

“She just can’t resist junk food. She literally needs to be watched 24/7.  Jessica has a problem with binge eating, which is usually triggered by stress… The snitch adds, “Jessica’s most recent violation was indulging in the terrible trio of chicken wings, nachos, and booze at the Great Dane Pub in Madison Wisconsin.”

This is not the first time Jessica hired a “food cop” - Mike also helped her to get in shape for her Daisy Dukes role:

Alexander lived in a house with Simpson during the three months she was in Baton Rouge last fall shooting Dukes. “I ate every meal with her so I could tell her what to order,” says Alexander, who encouraged Simpson to eat grilled chicken, seared fish, broccoli and asparagus. She avoided bread baskets brought to the table and declined extra sugar for her iced tea. Free desserts brought to the table were refused.

How much will Jessica be allowed to eat every day? No more than 1250 calories!

Who’s disappointed and who’s happy that she intends to lose weight?

So lately there’s been a lot of crazy press about my weight and just so you guys know I’m happier and healthier than ever so there is no need to worry about me. Things are really well in Mischa world and I’ve just been watching what I eat.

I still love my pilates and yoga, and have cut back on fatty foods a bit. My time in India and Paris really just helped me lose a little bit of weight but there’s nothing drastic going on!

I appreciate the concern, I just wish the press wouldn’t harbor on it as I think it’s very unhealthy for young girls to read about and pay attention to. To my female fans: Just be happy and secure with yourself and don’t let other people’s perceptions of you dictate the way you live your life.

Curvy Lindsay is from a few years back. Plus points: she looks healthy and she’s a redhead. Minus points: the unnatural tan.

Skinny Lindsay is from last night. Plus points: the dress, which is white and pleated and it gives her a “curvier” shape. Plus, the dress covers Lindsay’s skinniest parts: her shoulders and chest, so she doesn’t look as terribly skinny. Minus points: she’s obviously (and unnaturally) underweight.

OK! Magazine says:

In recent days, slender star Mischa Barton’s even slighter frame has been cause for concern among many celebrity weight watchers, but the former O.C. actress insists to OK! she isn’t taking matters to extremes, and reveals that pilates is her secret to looking svelte.

“For me, it’s all about pilates recently,” the 23-year-old told OK! during Tuesday night’s G-Star Raw luxury jeans fashion show at NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom. “I’m obsessed with pilates. I think it’s so fun.”

And whatever you might believe, Mischa says she’s certainly not starving herself.

“I don’t do any crash diets,” she explained. “There’s nothing that I really do like that, because I’m always working. I mean, before I go do a film, I do workout more. I do get ready for a film and try to be healthy and in shape. And when I’m not working, I do less of it.”

To get into fighting form, Mischa says it’s all about the gym.

“I do more cardio because I work long hours. Jogging, running — stuff like that’s really good before you do a film so you have more energy.”

 

Amazing piece of advice! NOT.

“I don’t know why people care about other people’s weight. I think they should look in their own mirror and stare at themselves,” Dina told Billy. “I’m a mom. If I see my daughter a little thin, I say, ‘Eat more McDonald’s.’”

Still, Dina says it wouldn’t kill her daughter to add a few pounds.

“I told Lindsay I think she’s a little thin,” Dina admitted. “But we go through this every couple of months. My daughter is happy and healthy and that’s all that really matters.”

 

Lindsay talked to OK! about another topic that’s had her in the headlines of late — her recent dramatic weight loss.

“I did’t [lose it] intentionally,” she said. “I’m eating as much as I always eat.

The actress chalks it all up to having too many things on her plate, career-wise at least.

“I think I’m just working a lot and the stress of that and lack of sleep and my travels,” she explained. “I think it’s just all that that adds up.”
