I’ve yet to read any evidence of reckless behaviour. Compare her to Britney/Lohan/Tara Reid/Disney stars, the girl is a saint.
Not even made-up stories of drug abuse, and unsafe sex or anything like that.
I’ve yet to see her looking disheveled, like in the throwes of some killer hangover. I’ve yet to see her looking like she skips meals, and drinks Diet Coke and Vodka for breakfast (hint hint).
She is slim, but her weight is stagnant, she does not follow some sick gain/starve cycle .
She hasn’t leaked any sex videos, or sexy naked pictures.
She hasn’t done any Botox or any crazy procedure she doesn’t need.
Seriously, what is everyone’s problem with her, all I read is slutty this and grown-up-too-fast that. Yet the girl dresses interestly, if not conventionally. I always find her at the very front of fashion trends. She actually has her own personal style which rarely ends up clunky like other co-stars.

She is a beauty, no doubt, but her attitude worries me. Actually, the apparant lack of dicipline by her parents is what really worries me. I’d never allow my daughter to do/dress half the way she does.
Yes, she may be no Lindsey Lohan. But it’s about paths and encouraging the right paths, and she seems to be headed down the wrong one that typically DOES wind up in sex tapes, alcoholism..etc. Whether she will stop or not before reaching the end…well, we have yet to find out.

I hope when I have kids I’ll judge them by what they do, and not by what they wear. God knows every generation it’s the same thing. Young people wear riskey things, parents act like it’s the end of the world.
It’s not a slippery slope argument. Most people with a lot of money and a lot of freedom, no restrictions, and a rebellious attitude do wind up going down the wrong paths. Wrong in the sense that it’s self-destructive.
There are of course exceptions. And I never said that was going to be Taylor’s case. In fact, I specifically stated that we can only wait and see how she turns out. I don’t know her, don’t know her situation…I’m just a casual observer.
All I’m saying is the odds are not in her favor, and if that was my child I would strive to decrease the odds of developing self-destructive patterns. It’s not about the clothes, it’s the attitude that is the problem. It’s the need to wear such clothes at 16, and the audacity to do it.

I’m 15 years old. 16 in June. I know lots of girls who dress like that (and quite a few who would wear those tights too
) I know girls who dress skankier. The people who think SHE is growing up too fast, obviously need to get out in the real world (because 15 year old girls are everywhere)
anyway her legs do not seem really long to me? idk i’m 5′9 and her legs look the same, maybe even shorter than mine (she is wearing heels) and i’ve never thought I had particularly long legs..

I just turned 16 and even I think she’s skanked up.
Last time I checked I do live in the real world, and I know if I saw a girl dressed like her (disregarding the first picture, because I actually do rather like her look there) I don’t think I’d have many kind words to say about it.
Honestly, I don’t think it matters if it’s what’s ‘normal’ for this generation, all that make-up and skin just isn’t attractive to me, and I don’t understand why looking like you’ve just woken up in a gutter would be appealing.
I mean, sure, showing off our youthful bodies while they’re smooth and fit is a part of being young, but for some reason it just doesn’t look tasteful on Taylor. Like, she’s trying way too hard to be sexy with her lace and over-the-top eye make-up, but it’s not working.
And for goodness sake, you’re on a hit TV show and you have legs for days, at least try to crack a smile every now and then.

I wish I’d looked this good when I was 15 – 17 and experimenting with fashion. I agree with suzushii for the most part and really think people need to relax. Obviously all those “no class” and “parents shouldn’t allow this” comments are from people who don’t have kids of this age.
If you trust in your kid – and in the education you established in your kid – you can grant certain freedom. That’s the way MY parents raised me and I have to say I turned out pretty great

Wow, so you put down two bands that many people consider good if not great, and then you put up what “real” rock is (I’ve never heard of them). First of all, there are tons of sub genres of rock. You realize that grunge, punk, emo, goth, metal are ALL rock? So there is no “real” rock.
And also, my original comment was just expressing that I think it’s normal for teenagers to rebel. All of this, “she’s too young” talk is condescending. I was 16 3 months ago. Of course you’ve never heard of it. it’s not major label crap. Did Nirvana utterly stink? No, but they were not some revolutionary rock act either. This is why people say they are overrated. because people have to put them on some kind of pedestal. Cobain wasn’t that great compared to many of his peers. He just happened to off himself. People love dead rockstars for some reason. If he had lived twenty more years he would have faded into obscurity or sold out like most people from his time. It’s all generational. There are many bands better than the Beatles and Nirvana. You won’t hear of em because they do not have major marketing power behind them.

Haha, that does sound pretty bad. I think that truly good bands get recognized even without any myths or eulogizing. Like System of a Down. Not exactly mainstream, but well known and well loved because they are good. They’ve been broken up for years now, nobody is dead, and they still have tons of fans. Myself included.
