Jennifer Garner: “Most days I don’t get around to makeup”

163609676_10 - Jennifer Garner: "Most days I don't get around to makeup"

On not wearing make-up:

“Most days I don’t get around to makeup. If I do, it’s pretty simple: concealer, blush, mascara, and some lipcolor. If I’m really going for it, I might fill in my brows. Generally speaking, brows are underserved.”

On learning from her hairstylists:

“They taught me that letting my hair dry naturally – which is what I do every single day – is good for it… But it’s not always going to look good. Pulling out the blow-dryer and the curling iron really does make a difference. But to be perfectly honest, I don’t even know where the hair dryer is in my house.”

… says Jennifer in the August Issue of Redbook Magazine.

She’s looking a little like Hilary Swank…but she hasn’t changed much since 2001. I never know whether to like her or not…she’s kind of just there.

I never wear makeup. A few times a month I may throw on eyeliner and mascara but that’s about it. And I work in the corporate world! Luckily, I’m a good looking woman with decent skin …but I don’t get The point of makeup. I think jenn is a horrible actress but such a down to earth girl in real life.

Makeup is simply supposed to enhance beauty and conceal imperfections if applied correctly.
I’m young so I don’t use much foundation (I think it can be ageing) but for work, I use cliniques everyday glossy mascara, comb some gel through my brows and use a touch of tinted lip balm on my lips. Just to look like I make an effort.

you don’t get it because you’re blessed with good skin. most women arent and it only gets worse the older they get. but i think its bad that women apply make up everyday and some apply really heavy make up like my mom. My mom actually has nice skin however, she suffers from redness or her skin is really sensitive so she piles on foundation. I tell her she shouldnt put that much on but it just boosts her confidence

I’d rather fill in my brows than slap on lipstick, the brows are more important to looking ‘done’. Luckily i have furry eyebrows that dont need filling.

Must-have for makeup would be concealer for my horrific dark circles and mascara, for a bare minimum anyways. I like having black liner on my upper lashline and blush too.

It’s strange because she always had this hardcore serious girl image to me until she did 13 going on 30, now she just looks really baby-ish all the time.

She sounds like me…lazy to apply makeup. I do without it, as I prefer to let everyone see me for who I really am, not done up beyond recognition. Ofcourse, a decent amount of makeup is not a bad thing either, but damn, I am so lazy. With reference to hair, just a quick up-do, that’s it. I tend to buy more dresses (my weakness) than purchase makeup. I am definitely not perfect, but comfortable with who I am, to go “bare-faced”. Jennifer Garner is a very beautiful attractive woman, who really doesnot need tonnes of makeup to show off… Read more »

good for her!! I love that she is so down-to-earth and relatable! She hasnt let Hollywood ideals change her and I applaud that!

she’s very cute. four types of makeup – concealer, blush, mascara and lip color doesn’t sound simple. I guess compare to face contouring that seems simple. To me simple would be just one or two items.

she hasn’t aged much in 12 years! anyways, pretty boring lady, and I get it that she has her family life so good for her, but if she was the type to makeup and dress up everyday than she really has the base to be fabulous.

yea she seems pretty laid back.. I like her! I think the reason why people find her boring is because we don’t know that much about her! she is private and because of that some are bored with her

Pretty lady, I’ve always used her body as my workout inspiration as she is strong, slim and it seems attainable. I like how she goes for a natural look for her overall style too.

Her body is good but her face… just something I would consider unfortunate :s not to be mean but she really isn’t good looking.

I remember when 13 going on 30 was just out and I was 13 at the time and wished I could be her! I thought she was so pretty. She actually has very strong features however and sometimes I catch glimpses of Rosie H-W when I look at her…. anyone else agree? Think its the nose / lips and cheekbones maybe?
