Kate Winslet Has the Most Desirable Body… says a new British poll. In case you missed it, Angelina is “The Beauty Icon of the Decade” and Megan fox is “The Sexiest” – we’ve got lots of polls these days!

A survey has found that a fuller, curvy figures such as those belonging to Kate Winslet or Kelly Brook are back in fashion among women. Meanwhile, skeletal stars such as Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss have fallen out of favour, along with the surgically enhanced figure of Katie Price, aka glamour model Jordan.
Oscar winner Miss Winslet, 34 – who served sausages and mash at her first wedding and has spoken openly of the effects of motherhood on her body – topped the poll of 2,000 woman aged 18 or over, with 16 per cent of the votes.
Dr Jacquie Lavin, head of nutrition at Slimming World, which commissioned the YouGov poll, said: ‘It shows a positive shift that women are more likely to see Kate Winslet and Kelly Brook as the ideal body shape rather than Kate Moss or Victoria Beckham. It perhaps suggests that it is not being “skinny” that is most important to them anymore, it is being healthy. However, there still remains a great deal of pressure on women to conform to an unrealistic ideal and our survey showed that a massive 85 per cent of women are at least occasionally unhappy with their weight.’
So what do you guys think of this one?
No way. Kelly Brook is the one I envy. Kate does have a nice body, but not my fav.
Agreed, Kelly Brook’s body is simply spectacular. Kate’s figure is very attractive but her proportions are definitely more average.
I agree. I don’t like Kate’s body, neither Victoria’s or Lilly’s. They don’t look feminine to me. I personaly don’t like the narrow hips…
As in all these type of polls, the media exposure plays a big part. Brits propably do (on average) prefer a bit softer and maybe a bit bigger figures than, say Americans, but this is a popularity contest also. I mean Lily Allen has an ok body, but surely one could find lots of celebs with more gorgeous bods? Katie Price makes me wonder a bit, but whatever.
True. It’s always the most exposed celebs that end up top of these polls. If someone asks you to pick your fav celeb body, you’re gonna think of all the celebs that come to mind and take your pick from those. All of these women are either frequently featured in the tabloids or women whose figures/beauty are often discussed. Halle Berry has always been referred to as a beauty and thus easily remembered when these polls come up.
Then again, that doesn’t mean that if women were offered a catalogue of celeb women to pick from, these wouldn’t be on the list. Lily Allen may not have the stereotypical fantasy body but not every woman wants that anyway. Lily Allen is in reasonable shape and has a flat stomach and some women want nothing more than that and would be happy looking like her and may not desire the attention having a body like Kelly Brook would bring.
On this site many women are clearly perfectionists when it comes to body types and sizez (hence the many bizarre comments) so are naturally surprised by this list. But the rest of the female population doesn’t necessary have the same ideals
I’ve never really thought about this kind of crap. You can’t look like anyone other than who you are so if you are ugly you just need to get over it. These kind of polls are just pointless.
It’s natural to envy other people. It’s what makes us strive to be better.
Envy doesn’t make anyone better. It is an ugly emotion and you would do better to learn your place.

I don’t think envy is an ugly emotion, jealousy is, but there’s nothing wrong in admiring a quality in someone else. I envy my senior managers at work and it makes me work harder to get promoted to their level. I think that’s natural – in our democratic society people don’t have ‘places’ in which they must always belong.

Spend just 10 minutes watching a group of strangers and you are going to see it if you choose to look at it analytically. People form their groups along certain lines. Like I said earlier, Humans are simple little animals and they are easy to figure out.

You look for anything hard enough and you will see it. I’m not saying women aren’t judged by their looks, but to assume they are solely judged on them is crazy – income, education, social class, intelligence, achievement and family all also major contributing factors. However, these are what strangers and aquaintances will use ‘place’ you. You and the people close to you are who decides what you are and where you stand – and that is judged upon the person you are.
I know I sound a bit corny but it’s true – never judge your self worth on what you look like.
I’m not saying she has a bad body but number one?? Common, there are several on this list that I would choose before her, starting with Halle Berry and Kelly Brook, now those are incredible bodies. And what is Lilly Allen even doing there?? There are so many women with better figures! Bar Rafaeli, Blake Lively… This is clearly just some british popularity list..
People take these polls too seriously!
These are taken from average British women, who will naturally choose from the celeb women that come to mind; hence why this list is compiled of women that feature the most in the media or are renowned for their figures.
The average British woman probably doesn’t follow the fashion industry or pays too much attention to celebs that aren’t in Heat magazine so naturally VS models aren’t gonna be on here.
Moreover, believe it or not, not every woman strives to have a Kelly Brook or Megan Fox type of body. Some people have other concerns in their lives and would feel content having a body like Kate Winslet; curves and in reasonable shape.
Obviously, an opinion poll conducted by the users of this site would have different results.

You are pretty negative and I doubt you have a better body than all of these women but I have to admit when I saw Lily Allen’s name I had the same response “is this a joke?.” Why is she on here that is really weird. Katie Price too is that the Jordan girl why would she be on there? I don’t understand this list!
I don’t think I’m being more critical than anyone else. I’m not saying that those women I said “no” to have bad bodies, it’s just that they are not bodies that I would want to switch with mine.
Remember, this is a british magazine and lily allen is very popular in thoso british states.

I think you’re all being far too harsh in relation to lily allen.
I went to her gig and seeing her body up close is completely different. She may have a small chest but it in proportion to her body. She also has great toned legs (not chubby) and a butt so all in all her body deserves to be on that list far more than Katie Price (considering her body has been pumped with chemicals, poked with lipo sticks and tango-ed)

I think Kate has a good body for her age. Same with Halle. Kelly Brook has a great body, but she wears waist tighteners with most of her dresses so I think the average person has a different image of her than what is actual.
Beyonce is curvy, but I wouldn’t like to have her body. I like having slim legs. Megan Fox has a great body, I wouldn’t mind having it.
Also, I’m looking at Kate Moss, and I see nothing “skeletal” about her. This seems like a biased article/poll to me, but whatever.
i agree. kate moss doesn’t look as skinny as people are making her out to be and i didn’t think the whole “skeletal” comment was unnecessary. kelly brook does have a great figure but like you said she wear those tighteners to make her have that curvy shape. halle and megan both look good to me.
annoyingly Kelly is really build like this. I don’t think i have seen a body as good as hers out.

kate does have a nice body but it isn’t hourglass like kelly’s, it’s a cello-bigger bones (yeah I’m obsessed w/ body shapes) so kelly is better

I love this list all different body types are represented form skinny to curvy it’s a nice list IMO to showcase what people really think of what kinds of body types are considered sexy or in shape.
this pole was definatley targeted at older women and they definatley make up the majority of votes. no one who is 20 is going to say they wish they had the body of a 35 year old (even if they look damn good) and no one who is middle aged is going to say they wish they had megan foxes body. their going to pick women who are around their age who look phenomanal, something thats realistic.

absolutely love kelly brook’s body (PERFECT) and kate winslet is just stunning.
I’m fourteen years old And I’m going to give my opinion.
1. Kate Winslet- My friend has this body type. I think she looks smoking!
Although yes its a little thicker and if I could have any body type I wanted, I wouldn’t choose this one..I still think it’s hott. 
2. Kelly Brook – PERFECTION. Man, I’d love to look like her. She’s like perfect. Not too thin, but not too thick. Perfect body.
3. Halle Berry – Ah she’s pretty. But her shoulders are a tad too broad for my taste. she’s decent though.
4. Cheryl Cole – Very slim. Very thin. Slightly curvy. I like it. Nice legs. Although I don’t think I could ever look like that…I’d love to have a body like that. If I had one to choose out of any I’d probobly choose hers to be honest. It just seems like the ones the boys my age drool over..so yeah.
5. Beyonce – Ah i have a body type similar to this. Pear shape. Sigh..I just don’t like it. It’s like you expect us to have a curvy body..but it’s not really all that curvy. Beyonce dosen’t really have a big ass or chest..she’s just wide. I don’t like her body that much.
6. Megan Fox –Yeah…boys would pay attention to me if I had that body type.. It’s very sexy.

Well that was … interesting.
Beyonce’s ass may not be as big as people think but the girl is curvy for sure. She’s got the tiny waist, rounded hips and shapely legs that make a woman curvy. She’s curvy for her shape, not her size.
Men love her body and i’m sure there are many men that will love yours. Pear shapes may be loathed by women but they are loved by men.
In any case most men may have their preference when it comes to bodies but it’s not really a major deciding factor when it really comes down to it.
I would happily take Kelly Brook’s or Halle Berry’s bodies. The others don’t do much for me.
I don’t think it’s weird that Lilly Allen is on there. She looks really good – she’s also lost a lot of weight and women probably find that inspiring.

Kate’s body has gotten a bit fitter these past few years. In her new commercial, she has slimmed down but still looks curvy. ^_^ Looking great.
kelly’s body is amazing , with this very tiny waist , she looks curvy but with a beautiful body , i don’t like kate’s body at all . beckam’s wife body looks ugly , i hate her body !!! she has 5 or 4 kids , she doesn’t eat ? i don’t like lilly allen body and beyonce body she is so curvy. i don’t like the others body too.

I think Kate Winslet is beautiful. I disagree with a lot of the other choices though. I have a hard time believing any woman would want to look like Katie Price. She is gross. If I woke up with her body I might just kill myself.

I’m British and can I just point out how this is printed in the Daily Mail newspaper. This is a newspaper that seriously cannot be trusted, people shouldn’t read too much into this poll. I must say that I like kelly brook’s body, but on her. I saw some pictures of her in bikini and no way I could stand my hips being that “big”.

Kate is a pretty girl but she doesn’t quite have the type of figure that I would like to have. She is still gorgeous in my opinion.
I prefer a more curvy shape. I don’t mind big hips…they’re beautiful, especially if you have a nice flat tummy.
Kelly’s figure is ideal to me. I don’t care if she has on a corset to enhance her shape. She looks beautiful in the picture above and her curves are out of this world. I would love to have a body like hers.
I’d say for me personally i’d like Cheryl coles as she looks fit, skinny, toned & is the same height as me!
