Daisy Ridley: “Self esteem is a huge issue for people around the world”

Untitled-10

On how deceitful social media is:

3 of these statements aren’t true… Social media is great but also a bit scary cause what people post is the most filtered, most carefully chosen and cleverly edited moments of their lives. And self esteem is a huge issue for people around the world. My skin isn’t great so I don’t post no make up selfies, much as I’d like to; I have a trainer urging me on in workouts and don’t include all the times I say ‘I can’t do it’ and I don’t smile all the time but I like to share the pictures where I am. But I actually do love myself, I try to think good thoughts always and am surrounded by the most wonderful people, so I’m keeping it balanced (like the Force, obvs). Just thought I’d say 🙂

  1. I’ve only seen her in Star Wars and hated her wooden performance. But it’s not the first time when I find her quotes refreshing, she seems like a nice, genuine person. So I can’t dislike her.

  2. #nofilter but she has the ”pretty face” filter on…. I can’t deal… I dont know the trend right now but it seems that girls like lily Aldrige, Gal Gadot, this girl Faces are on trend…

  3. Daisy seems really chill, I like her. Her face is beautiful and her body is nice and fit. Not a fan of that last dress at all though, it looks like it has a weird texture..

  4. True, but do people really need to be told that social media is fake? I remember realizing that when I was like 10 and facebook became popular, and I wasn’t a particularly bright 10 yr old….I would hope most people old enough to be in high school at least know this.
What’s next, SnapChat needs to explain that their filters don’t REALLY turn your face into a raccoon or whatever new thing they have this week?
