  1. I get what she is saying, kim k is unapologetic about her curves, in the real world everybody’s body other than yours is unattainable, i think what she likes is that kim puts her curves front and center.

Don’t confuse curvy/skinny people being in media to mean both are treated equally, media obviously contains both because the world contains both and always has done, how they are presented is what matters, privileging one over the other is always going to leave some people out.

Kim K although not a p—star specifically, I’d say is pretty close to the standard appearance of one and I would say has a notoriety based on the greater trend of p—ographisation in media generally.

  2. Indeed it is a touchy topic. “Curvy” is now the PC word for overweight, as you said. It is the perfect excuse, the easiest way. Instead of “put the chips down, eat healthier and do exercise” better “embrace your fatness, don’t move a finger, ever, you are perfect!”.
And of course skinny shaming is a part of it. But many of these “I embrace my curves” would sell their souls to have the body of the models they so harshly criticise… for example this Lovato girl. I don’t believe she is happy in her skin at all. Her obsession with the topic says everything.

  3. And Beyonce actually does look okay, nobody wants to look like Kim, including Kim who wants to look like a model and photoshops herself.

    • No way sorry, i find kim’s looks far more impressive than beyonce’s. I also think beyonce was more on the side of wanting to belong to the current standard of beauty. Kim broke it like a wreking ball! She walked in the scene like a pro, still i prefer not to hear her talk and probably a big part was played by her stylist that should be recognised

  4. She’s not styled well at all though…she dresses as though she’s a size 2 skinny model and would look so much better if she actually dressed for her body type. Makes her seem insecure. If you’re going to buy your body type it better be one you are going to be confident in…

  5. I am a huge fan of vintage and old films curvy and skinny always seems to go on a cycle every ten or twenty years. And when I say curvy I mean slim but with shape. But the ideals of either are usually not very attainable for most.
