Jada Pinkett Smith: “I’ve never looked at myself as, like, a beauty”

On aging:

“…It is what it is! I’m getting older! I’ve never looked at myself as, like, a beauty. I’m not sore on the eye, but I know there’s always going to be somebody more beautiful—always. My grandmother used to say to me, ‘It’s not about what you look like on the outside. It’s what you look like on the inside.’ So she helped me learn at an early age to be well-rounded, to be spiritual, to be compassionate.”

… says 43 year-old Jada.

  1. I agree with what she says, and I like her. She seems down to Earth and that’s nice. Don’t know much about her though in general, but this quote seems pretty spot on.

  2. Agree, she may be in control and professional, yes, but she did never strike me as someone kind and spiritual. And in my book she is not a beauty either, no matter how defined, toned or skinny she is even though they did quite a job of “softening” her look on the cover, wig&photoshop included.

  3. She looks lovely in these photos.. but, 99.9% of the time I think she looks like a tranny. WAAAAAAAYYYYY too muscular. Just my personal taste.. but I like women to look like women.. and not men. Not a fan of the body builder type.

  4. I thought the same thing, until her kids suddenly started “making it” as actors, singers and entrepreneurs. Every time I read another story about that idiot Jaden, I wonder why the Smiths raised their kids to be spoiled rich brats. Both Will and Jada seem so grounded and principled, but one look at their kids and it makes me wonder if it’s all just a show to cater to a broader audience.

    • They’re teenagers… Teenagers act like spoiled, annoying and often, arrogant brats all the time. Pretty sure the parents arent’ “catering” to anyone.
