Paris Jackson: “I’m not symmetrical, I’m not a size zero, I eat hella burgers and endless amounts of pizza”

On whether she’s comfortable in her own skin:

Unfortunately in the world we live in it’s almost impossible to feel comfortable in your skin 24/7. Especially with what the media is constantly feeding us. I still have countless insecurities and fears, like everyone else I know. But we’re getting there, slowly but surely. Which is a big reason I want to change this fashion / beauty stigma, so it’s not as difficult for people around the world to feel beautiful just the way they are. Beauty is not measured by numbers, or symmetry, or shapes, or sizes, or colours, or anything like that. Beauty, true beauty, should be measured by the soul, the character, integrity, intentions and mindset of a person, what comes out of their mouth. How they behave. Their heart.

On planning to redefine beauty so it’s more inclusive:

Definitely to talk about it and spread the word, but also to set an example I guess. I’m not symmetrical, I’m not a size zero, I eat hella burgers and endless amounts of pizza. I can’t fit into a runway sample size of designer clothes, I have scars and stretch marks and acne and I have cellulite. I’m human. Not a dress-up doll. The idea that we all have to fit one idea of beauty is outrageous and ridiculous because “perfection” is just an opinion.

… says 19 year-old Paris.

  1. Who even wants to be a size zero these days? Even the supermodels are 2s and 4s. A size zero means really skinny and short, people always say that like it’s a bad yhing( oh I’m not a size zero, I’m a big fat size four)

    • I definitely feel like the waif look was “in” for models in the early-mid 2000s, now it’s more about being fit but still slender.

      • Which is a good thing as that is healthy. Being under a BMI of 18.5 has health risks. Period.( well unless you are asian, or 16). there’s something very twisted about a bunch of men making underage girls starve themselves, giving them drugs to stay thin and putting them up as the standard of beauty. Nobody cares about the fashion industry now though. It’s a joke with ugly models and increasingly unispired clothes. So basically high fashion has very little influence on beauty right now. A starved body with zero curves, a gaunt face, that has to be on an iv drip during fashion week is not seen as ideal anymore thankfully. You don’t get an award for eating 800 calories, it’s not an accomplishment- it means somethings wrong with you. Being malnourished is a totally different thing than being slender.

  2. “Set an example”?

Idk who she is but this girl is as perfect as she can get and fits plenty of current beauty ideals. What the hell is she talking about. IMO it’s worse when people like that make this self-deprecating “relatable” quotes. Comes off obnoxious and ignorant of their position.

    • She is the daughter of Michael Jackson 🙂 she is definitely gorgeous imo, just not a big fan of all the tattoos she has but then again that’s just me.

      • Michael jackson? Oh, well, talk about privilege. I agree, she’s gorgeous. Don’t know why I’m getting downvotes. Would like to actually hear the counter-argument. I don’t mind the tattoos.

  3. Not exactly a novel concept, but it sounds like her heart is in the right place…even if it does ring a bit hollow coming from someone as exquisite as she is.

  4. lol someone has not seen many pictures of Paris Jackson if they think she is gorgeous. She knows her angles. Her face is box-shaped/manly from the front. Best feature, her eyes but rather bug-like to me. That’s it. Not a nice facial or bone structure at all. Kinda looks unintelligent too

    • I’ve seen many pictures of her online and what she post of herself on Instagram and I find her gorgeous in almost all of them (everyone has a bad picture) and even if someone hasn’t seen many pictures of her that doesn’t mean that you can say that someone can’t find her gorgeous just because you don’t. Everyone has their own opinion about beauty. What you find to be gorgeous, someone else may find ugly and vice versa.

    • Lol, you must have undeniably beautiful and Barbie like features if you think she looks bad. Geez, why is everybody so mean and judgemental on this site.

      • yeah whatever, Barbie is always hailed as “most beautiful” but her features aren’t even special. oval face, button nose, big eyes, large teeth. Usually someone who looks nothing like Barbie is most beautiful to me, like Audrey Hepburn. She had totally unique features, nose and eyes, not cookie cutter barbie.

paris is basic and suffers man chin, needs pounds of makeup not to look blah basic white girl

    • Im also not a hige fan, but as i said – i just now see that she is good looking.

Anyway, i wanted to say – daisy is right for saying everyone is entiteld to their own opinion. She doesnt like Paris, ok.

      • thanks!
To me Paris is waaay less cute than Selena gomez who is not gorgeous at all, just cute. So how can anyone think PJ is gorgeous? its shocking. Paris has no soft or delicate features, her eyes face shape and nose are all masculine as hell.

        • You find it shocking that not everybody shares yours opinion about Paris ? But at the same time you want others to respect your opinion… You know that she tried to attempt suicide multiple times because she was being bullied on school and social media? And I’m sorry to say but I feel like you (Daisy) could be that person that bullied her.

          • yeah well, a lot of teens attempt suicide. it is not a rare phenomenon. Most kids, who are much worse off in life than she is, have been cyber-bullied. Am I supposed to feel badly for her? (Also I never read that it was due to bullying.) ALL e famous ppl get criticized. Sorry, that’s too bad, it’s a side effect of being a public figure. Her suicide attempt just shows a lack of gratitude for all she’s been given in life and makes me like her less.

          • um less than two percent of teens attempt suicide. you need some education if you think a normal happy person is going to just say, i think ill kill myself. try have SOME compassion and empathy. I know that’s considered liberal and crazy these days but try it out, goes a long way and comes back your way.

          • I never said Paris was normal or happy, I just said teens are over dramatic and problems seem bigger than they are at that age, so suicide attempts happen.

And I can’t feel sorry for Paris, she comes across as very bratty and ungrateful. Sorry. Don’t tell me I need to have compassion, I do when it’s deserved and I have attempted to end it so I understand mental illness

        • Maybe you don’t understand European standards of beauty because in Asia most people think the more you look like a little girl, the better. From a European point of view, there’s honestly nothing masculine about her face. The fact that you think her nose looks masculine is the funniest thing to me! ?

    • Agree, she’s far from beautiful, she has a odd head shape. Average looking at best. I hear she’s a really, really sweet though. Super polite and down to earth.

  5. She looks fine. A lot of teenagers can eat a lot of pizza and burgers and don’t gain weight. I don’t see the fame of burgers and pizza in particular, why don’t famous people ever say they love Thai curries or burritos or have a ton of dumpligs for dinner every night – the choice of tasty (un)healthy food is endless 😉

  6. If just one more generally good looking girl goes with the “I like pizza, I eat burgers every 20 minutes” – bs pr routine… I swear… And talking about their flaws when they seem to have zero. It doesn’t help anyone.

  7. I personally think she is very well spoken for a 19 year old, compared to all these other bimbos in the media these days. To me, she is very beautiful but looks much older than her age, facially.

    • Nothing to be humble about, girl has no discernable talent from what I’ve observed.

Damn celebrities get a pat on the back just for not being total pieces of shit, lol. It’s not a big deal that they’re “nice” or “hmble” they have millions and could be awful when the camera’s not looking

      • Wow, your antipathy for this girl seems really off the wall considering she’s barely a b-list celeb who was born in the spotlight by virtue of her famous father (and despite the privelage attached to him, he can’t have been an easy father figure to have). After the spectacle of his death, she has only recently begun to step into the spotlight. And why?? Well, check out this teen vogue article in which she talks about building her platform to bring light to social justice issues that are important to her:

Seems a whole lot better than 95% of the celebs and celebuspawn on this site who are literally building their platforms for more instagram likes. You’re entitled to your opinion on her appearance on a site like this, but your nasty tone belies a really weird issue that you have with her which seems to speak volumes about your character — and believe me, it comes across as FAR more unflattering than a square jaw and masculine features.

        • No issues personally, a family friend who works as a body guard professionally knows the Jacksons, and I’ve heard through this person many many bad things about that entire family.

Anyway many of the young celebs say they are using their platform for good (Chloe Moretz, Zendaya, others) it has become a trendy thing to say so they don’t look fame-obsessed.

      • Damn, so many salty chicks on this site. Seems like you can’t make a harmless positive comment these days without some person going ape sh!t putting forward jabs that secretly mask their own insecurities.

        • I’m insecure but that doesn’t change the fact that Paris Jackson has no acting, singing or any talent and seems realllly dumb.

And I am tired of celebs getting credit for being “nice” (like they’re so special for possessing typical traits we would expect any decent person to have), people like you sound soo dumb saying stuff like that.
