On why she never opted for invasive beauty enhancements:
I’ve never gotten Botox or fillers. I’ve never done anything to my face that’s ‘invasive.’ I think it has a lot to do with having two girls,” she said of her decision to forgo injectable face treatments. Maybe I’m afraid. I’m afraid…it’s like I’ve never done cocaine either! I’ve certainly spent a lot of time and money doing other stuff, and I certainly am vain!

On being an unexpected beauty queen:
“If thing had gone according to my plans, I’d be a lawyer. I never dreramt of being an actress. My mother was a teacher; my dad is an engineer. But at 18, I was approached to compete in Miss Israel. I thought, ‘That would be a nice experience.’ I never thought I would win! I was shocked when they crowned me. When I went to Miss Universe, I rebelled. I was afraid I might get picked again. I showed up late. I came without gowns. They tell you to come to breakfast in a gown. I was like, ‘No way am I having breakfast in a gown!’ Who needs to wear an evening gown at 10:30 a.m.?”

On her worst beauty habit:
“I love to tweeze my eyebrows and I’m a little bit OCD with my nails being perfect. And if I get a pimple, or if I see a pimple on anyone else, I love to get it. Obviously I do it properly with a tissue and what not, but I really like to squeeze, especially if it’s friends or family.”
… says Miranda.
On how being skinny is not her goal in life:
“I pretty much eat all day to keep my strength up. I’m primarily a vegetarian who has an occasional side of fish. When I trained for the movie Thor, there were days when I was burning 4,000 calories and I had to slam lots of protein shakes. Now my day starts with a green shake called Garden of Plenty, which is packed with superfoods and grains. When I’m working, craft services makes me these amazing gluten-free wraps with lots of vegetables and ‘vegannaisse’ or hummus. I generally keep my diet pretty healthy, but if there’s pizza, I’ll eat it. And I will knock back a beer or some bourbon, too. I don’t deprive myself. And I hate being skinny. It’s not a good look for me. When I eat well and work out, I’m truly at my best.”

On turning 30:
When you’re young, that sounds so old. When you’re in high school or even when you’re in your early 20s it sounds like, ‘You know when I’m 30 I should just give up. Like what’s the point of going on at that age?’ And then you turn 30, I’m turning 30 later this year, you don’t feel any older at all.
