Pink Is ‘Obese’ at 160 Pounds and 5’3”

On how BMI qualifies her as ‘obese’:

Would you believe I’m 160 pounds and 5’3″? By ‘regular standards’ that makes me obese. I know I’m not at my goal or anywhere near it after Baby 2 but dammit I don’t feel obese. The only thing I’m feeling is myself. Stay off that scale ladies!

… says Pink on Instagram.

160 pounds and 5’3″ is 73 kg at 160 cm.

Is she stupid or what? Is “overweight” not obese, did she even check the table?

Actually a friend of mine has the same measuraments and the doctor told her she is obese.

Check the bmi table yourself. Not obese.

Pink is silly. It’s pretty common knowledge that BMI is general guide, and adjustments have to be made for athletes who carry muscle, which Pink is. But even carrying a lot of muscle takes it’s toll on joints, feet and back over the long run. Much like a chicken pumped full of chemicals to make their breast so large that their legs can’t hold their own body weight.

“even carrying a lot of muscle takes it’s toll on joints, feet and back over the long run” lol where did you get that information from? please cite… training with heavy weights improves the strength and stability of all joints and spine, there are thousands who have gotten rid of back and knee problems from strength training… you have no idea what you’re talking about. I’ll grant that steroids are bad for you, but primarily for other reasons. If you increase your weight by 20 pounds in order to squat 100 more pounds, guess what your knees and back can… Read more »

But lol muscles are INDEED weight on your body which can hurt the joints. Weight is weight BUT no one natrual can probably get so much muscles that it backfires

Lol so stupid, muscles keep the joints together by attaching to the different bones that conform it. Fat is just hanging there. Completely different types of weight.

160 at 5’3 seems excessive, whether you lift weights or not, there is obviously a significant portion of that weight which is unecessary and unhealthy fat (which she admits to by mentioning the lower goal weight). People don’t need to be the pinnacle of in shape or whatever but there is no point ignoring the obvious and trying to pander. Just say you are working on your goal and be done with it, get off the soapbox.

I wish you were around when I was with my ex. She got up to 5’3″ 190 and was talking about,”I have a lot of muscle.” I was thinking,”nah, there’s no reason to weigh 5lbs. more than the UFC men’s light heavyweight champion even if you have all the muscle in the world.” Of course I didn’t say that, becuase I like to live.

You’ve clearly come here to troll. There must be some MRA site you could go to be with your own.

So which part of her do you think has “unecessary and unhealthy fat ” in the first picture? cuz I’m not seeing it… honestly there are tons of natural bodybuilders/strength athletes who have the same BMI as Pink and lower bf% than most models. BMI only works for average people.

She carries her weight evenly to be honest so all over her. People see a bit of shape and decide it’s all muscle. It’s not, it’s really not. I promise you there is at least 30 pounds of pure fat on her that can be lost without sacrificing any muscle and being back at her pre baby fit muscular figure she used to rock. She is 5’3, she is tiny. 160 is absurd for that height. I’m 5’7 and shift around between 130-135. If I dumped 30ish pounds of fat on top of my muscle I’d look just like she… Read more »

*Trump’s voice* WRONG.

She has a BMI of 28.5, which corresponds to the overweight category. She’s exaggerating to make it seem like BMI is oh, so ridiculous and out of touch. It’s a guide.

We all know by now that BMI doesn’t really take muscle into account and a lot of super fit athletes are overweight and even obese by its standards. And Pink has a lot of muscle, so I wouldn’t sweat it. I was 155lbs at my highest, at 5’6 and I looked bigger than her. And also, as others have said, I doubt she’s obese even by BMI standards. More like overweight. But I’m too lazy to go check.

Why do people live by BMI? Lol.

She doesn’t dress like she’s particularly proud of her body. Walking around in huge amounts of cloth from head to toe…it’s almost like she was trolling for compliments.

Also the way she’s posing at the gym. Very contorted….couldn’t just give a side or forward facing shot? She wants those angles because she’s so uncomfortable. IMO
