Julianne Hough Goes Red – Makeover or Makeunder?

jh-1 - Julianne Hough Goes Red - Makeover or Makeunder?

On ditching her blonde locks for fiery red:

? I have never felt more like ME than I do right now!! I have always felt like a red head my whole life, even to the point that I’ve thought that my future daughter would 100% be a red head! I’ve seriously talked about doing this for 6 years, ask anyone who knows me…and now that I’m on this new journey, exploring and finding out who I truly am, I said screw it! I feel more feminine and alive and I love it! ??

  1. I don’t like it. Though I don’t find her attractive anyway (sorry she’s just not my cup of tea), I feel the red only highlights her very masculine jawline.

  2. I like her better blonde but all the power to her if she “feels” like a redhead. I think she means with “feeling like a redhead” is that she feels more quirky and fiery and not so much of a girly/sexy girl [as blondes tend to be]. These are just stereotypes I’m not saying I agree with them.
On that note, my natural hair color is medium to dark brown with a reddish tint in the sun and I wear it medium blonde with lighter blonde pieces at the front and tips [done by a professional of course]. I feel more like “me” with my hair like this as well

  3. I prefer her blonde, but if she feels better this way, all the power to her… I can concur with her feelings though, I am a brunette naturally and I always felt like a blonde so I get my hair dyed medium blonde with lighter pieces at the fronts and end. I have green eyes and light skin so it works.
I guess Julianne didn’t feel like the blonde stereotype girly/hot fit her and she identified more with the quirky/fiery red stereotype? Not saying I agree with these stereotypes necessarily but a hair color does bring up certain feelings in people

  4. I prefer her blonde look, but also I think she would pull off red hair better if she lightened her eyebrows — a bold brow here just makes her look severe
